    UGH
Smells like a treatment for foot fungus with a top note of locker room disinfectant.

Unmistakable smell of cheap shower gel for men.
Yes it does smell like woods… Not like real woods, but rather woods from video game.
Yes it is inexpensive, but it smells like something that still should be half of its price.
Cannot even give it away. I don’t think from all the people I’m communicating with I dislike anyone enough to gift it to them. If nobody pisses me off enough by the end of the year to give it as “coal in a sock” Christmas present, I’ll just leave it on the street where bums hang out. Maybe they wouldn’t get offended by it.

I sprayed some of this on in Kohl’s and it was just plain bad. Very synthetic smelling. I am a lover of all things coniferous, but I got zero pine from this. Some citrus in the opening, but it was all down hill from there. This is a scrubber for sure I wouldn’t waste my time…that’s my opinion of it.

This is a fresh fragrance that while initially coming across as simple, has some very nice accents as it burns down from top notes to base. If you’re into stacking fragrances as I am, you might find this one an affordable, yet fresh base fragrance on which to place another scent, getting more mileage out of it.
With a green freshness similar to Lucky You (Lucky Brand) but more complex and sweet, I found myself somehow being reminded of D&G’s Intenso. A quick experiment revealed that the two fragrances complement each other delightfully.
I’m sure this fragrance will stack well with many other fresh, woodsy scents as well, and my next experiment with this fragrance will be combining it with Issey Miyake’s Pour Homme Intense.

This is my first Victorinox SA scent, bought online from a reputable department store for short money. Was really hoping for a nice pine/cedar/woodsy/forest scent, but on my skin, there just seems to be a very quick hint of that, maybe a minute or two’s worth, then it quickly fades into a generic sort of citrus and nutmeg scent with hints of cedar.
For $40, an OK scent, but gave me a headache. Will probably give this away to someone with a son in high school for him to use.

I love green, foresty fragrances, but I don’t like this. It’s definitely green smelling, but in an Irish Spring soap/Comet cleanser sort of way. There is nothing foresty in this, and there certainly are no pine or other evergreen notes in it that I can smell.
What you have here is a strong, very clean, soapy green scent that smells okay at a distance (sillage is impressive), but up close you can detect the metallic, highly synthetic notes in it. I smell a lot of that chemical violet leaf note you get in so many current day fragrances, but up close it smells metallic, rather than leafy green.
You’ll definitely smell clean and green wearing Swiss Army Forest, but don’t think you’re going to smell like a walking Christmas tree. It’ll smell more like you slathered your armpits with Irish Spring roll-on deodorant. I smell no similarity to Pino Silvestre, which is a far better scent.
Not terrible, but not too good either.
    My rating: 5/10

This is a great fragrance. It reminds me of carrying fresh cut pine logs over to my outdoor fire pit. Occasionally some of the sap from the pine will get onto my fingers and it has a marvelous sticky pine smell. My wife doesn’t care for this because of the pine but obviously it is the point of wearing this fragrance. So I wear it for me and my smelling pleasure. Put some on, close your eyes and escape from your neighborhood and picture yourself in the Northwest woods taking a nap in the woods. Awesome. Fabulous juice. Highly recommend it.

Swiss Army Forest is one of my all-time favourites. This scent makes me feel very masculine and down to earth.
It is very surprising that – as a Swiss – i could buy the original in USA for half of the price than in the origin country. I ask the manufacturer about the reason, but they could not explain….or did not want to.

Picked this up at my local walmart (Canada) for a sweet 20. At first, I definitely thought it was a cheapo, axe type frag. Altitude was a signature for me in high school but the only Swiss Army I ever liked.
Well, I sprayed this stuff on one time when I was doing groceries and it smelled fantastic! I would describe it as classic Quorum with Pine. I haven’t smelled any of those fancy forest frags mentioned below but I loved this. It didn’t necessarily transport me to the woods or anything but it was woody without the sweet which I loved.
If you spray 3+ I could see the headache. But I myself never squirt more than twice. Once over the heart and one on the back and it’s a great 5-6 hours for me. But you need to like foresty woody scents without the vanilla sweetness that usually accompanies (HeWoods).

Well, I am a woman but forest theme in perfumery is my favorite and I actually prefer unisex fragrances to the ones for women only. I considered buying it blind but found a tester in a local store. A disappointment is an understatement. I expected a masculine fragrance but it smells so cheap! Don’t get me wrong, I am not a snob and enjoy perfumes from celebrity to niche but I would not want to smell this on my man. Unpleasant smell of something green. I recommend Olympic Rainforest instead.

As someone who used to live in Switzerland and hiked and biked the mountains whenever I could sneak away from the job, I really appreciate what Victorinox is trying to do here in capturing the beautiful and green alpine countryside with the cypress and pine needles more common to the Italian speaking upland of Ticino than anywhere in the German or French speaking realms. For that reason it is very nicely done, like a walk in the mountains north of Bellinzona where you get a nice blend of woods, aromatic (the violet leaf here is very prominent and keeps this modern) and fruity aromatic juniper that is rather likable and pleasing and suits hiking, climbing and the outdoors aficionado extremely well. Especially if they don’t want to deal with all the nonsense of sniffing tons of bottles looking for that elusive perfect scent. It’s a very nice mainstream woody aromatic release that I used along with the original Swiss Army, Alpine and Mountain Water for the Camino de Santiago to hike 20-25 miles daily and never got sick of this juice and its portability is fantastic for backpackers given the deign and durability of the bottle, which easily attaches to a backpack and isn’t bulky or intrusive.
Sure, this isn’t a favorite of those who enjoy more classic pine fragrances from the mid 20th century and they are certainly entitled to their opinion and wouldn’t be wrong, but in the context of the over-stretched market of fragrances since the mid 2000’s, this is a solid mainstream release for the more outdoorsy guy looking for something to remind him of the great hikes, alpine climbs, etc. Of yesteryear and build anticipation for the next spring and summer. Has a very soapy, fresh appeal beyond the woods that makes it very suitable for everyday wear on the go, the violet leaf and juniper give this a little bit more soapy bite and lasting power than other Victorinox releases of late. Sillage is reliable and moderate and longevity for me was generally 5-8 hours with it excelling especially in damper, cooler weather around 50 f or 5-8 c. A nice mainstream cheapy for the outdoorsman hiker, biker, climber, kayaker or runner that will consistently perform and lock out sweat and body odor while still managing to smell somewhat fresh and masculine.
    Scent: 7.25/10
    Sillage: 7/10
    Longevity: 7.5/10
    Creativity: 7/10
    Value: 7.5/10

What a nice surprise! Better (by a mile) than the original, this fragrance is all the way green and piney! Although after some minutes a sour green note appears (similar to the one found in D&G light blue), It fades quickly and leave the marvelous refreshing green/pine with spices accord exhale beautifully. The spicy pine note is identycal to the one found in Polo Modern Reserve. That’s why I consider SAF a light version with aquatic notes of Polo Modern Reserve. I didn’t detect any sweet notes and that’s a good thing these days!

This one is the strongest scent I have ever had giving my allergies to fragrances in the past. This one gives me a headache. I blind bought this one as I love SA brand so much, I have Altitude, Classic, Unlimited, Water Mountain. I want to like this one as much as I love others, but I can not. I get a headache when I smell it. It reminds me of dried spoiled squid/seafood. And who would spray the stink seafood on themselves? So disappointing. It has the contrasting scent from the others I have. I do not know who I can give this to? And my friends said I smell good which was not what I thought I’d smell like.

This fragrance never fails to get comments and raves. Fresh and clean and well worth the price. My Serge Lutens’ Fille en Anguilles gets yawns compared to this.
I put ‘Forest’ on 4 hours ago and I can still smell and enjoy it. I am on my 3rd bottle.
For that piney fragrance, much better than Norne, Knize Forest, or Chanel’s Bois des Iles.

This fragrance makes a great first impression, with a beautiful bottle, evocative name, and an impressive, pine-y opening. Unfortunately, those initial notes are gone in a few minutes, and what’s left is generic and weak.

Un des rares parfums que tu peux porter dans les bois sans que personne ne le sache…
One of the few fragrances that you can wear in the woods without anyone knowing …

Starts off like it might be good but then falls flat on its face very quickly. This is the first SA scent I’ve tried and it certainly doesn’t prompt me to want to try any others !

I really enjoy the woody opening and the way it develops into a clean fresh scent. The longevity on my skin however is pretty minimal – it starts to go away within 20 minutes to half an hour for me. Still considering it since it’s affordable and smells great

It smells too much like the pine trees people hang from their rear-view windows, or the stuff in the can you spray on artificial Christmas trees. It’s kind of crass. Needs more oakmoss or herbs, maybe. A little less literal representation, a little more art is what’s called for.
Pino Silvestre does a much better job with the pine idea; so does Tom Ford Italian Cypress and D&G Anthology L’Amoureux #6.
Still, it doesn’t jam a pine tree up your nostrils like Slumberhouse Norne, so that’s something.

close your eyes and sniff. holy sh*t im in the woods.

Victorinox surprises me and releases a fragrance that smells good! Will wonders never cease? Forest is a decent juniper /cedar / evergreen accord built on a light amber and a heavy white musk base. It’s good until you remember Pino Silvestre, which is vastly better (richer pine, smoother woods, deeper amber, no white musk) at a quarter of the price.

This fragrance is more green and fresh than a traditional woody scent. It doesn’t have that dry presence in it that I like in a good hearty woody scent. It does however present a slightly sweet, fresh, piney, juniper scent that just screams spring, and does live up to the forest name. Good cheap fragrance to have. The longevity and projection are both pretty moderate to less than moderate. I’d say it’s the most creative fragrance in the victorinox line, but lacks in power. I prefer the original over this for now.
