I am not particularly a fan of BBW – too many fruity-sweety and/or cupcake dessert teenybopper scents. This, however, I may be in love with. First of all, my grandmother had the body spray of this in her medicine cabinet when I was little, though as far as I know, never used it. I used to secretly spray it on myself after a bath when I’d spend the night at my grandparents’, though since I sprayed it generously, I doubt it was as much of a secret as I hoped. Once she ran out, I forgot all about it until recently. I stopped into a BBW for some soap (their kitchen lemon is pretty nice), and, seeing the bottle, decided to spray some on, for old time’s sake. I walked out with both the EDP and the shimmer body spray. To me, this smells like a curly headed little blonde girl around five years old, who gets out of the bathtub one fine spring morning to be snuggled into a big, fluffy towel by her mom. Mom puts a yellow seersucker dress on her and a bow in her hair, and they go out for a walk in the park with their happy-go-lucky golden retriever under the trees in the warming sunshine. Everything is beautiful, and all is right with the world. This scent is so innocent, so sweet and springy and fresh, but not cloying or overly fruity, and there is not a hint of dessert to he found. As far as notes go, I get a lot of raspberry, freesia, and yes, sweet pea. One of my favorite things to do with this is to layer it with Elizabeth Arden Green Tea when I first get out of the shower on a summer night. Nice for a date night outside in the warm night air, or simply for going to bed and dreaming sweet, innocent dreams. If anyone has these two scents, I strongly recommend trying them layered. It is absolutely lovely, layered or by itself.

I am a lover of all things BBW but this scent is one of those that I really love! I had the body mist so they do smell the same except the EDT is a little stronger on the nose. I love the raspberry and freesia note in this scent. I can detect a little bit of pear which is nice as well.
This scent is very playful and sweet. I don’t have the body mist anymore because I overused it, haha. I will repurchase in the future, maybe even decide to purchase the EDT instead of the body mist.
I can’t say what the longevity is for the EDT but the body mist didn’t have much. Maybe an hour or two for me.

Love this smell, it is one of my absolute favorites. I purchased the spray, moisturizer and shower gel blindly overseas and I am so glad I did. Funny thing is; all three smell similar but so different at the same time. The shower gel smells of pear and sweet pea. Spray smells of raspberry, musk and sweet pea and the moisturizer smells like bubblegum. So oddly different and all smell so delicious.

The classic scent of Sweet Pea never ceases to tire my nose. I’m not one for florals, but this one always captivates me. Maybe it is the sweet memory of my 16th birthday when I first received it, or maybe it’s because my mother and I always had it in stock within our collection. The scent is a memory, a reminder of growing up, growing from a young woman to a lady. The clean, rounded scent is music to my nose. I don’t sense any fruity notes in it, but can sense traces of musk. Overall though, just sweet, beautiful sweet peas! I’d recommend to those who usually don’t go for florals, but want to give them a try.

Sweet Pea to me is a playful backyard kind of scent. It smells like I just tumbled out of the bath as a little girl, limbs akimbo and hair askew, fresh and clean and nectary from the suds. There’s a lot of freesia overlaid with ripe red berry. It reminds me a lot of freshly-washed raspberries, when they still have a little lingering green scent to them.
No, it’s not particularly mature or elegant, but not everything has to be. Sweet Pea is just sweet and clean and happy. A sunny Friday afternoon about to go sailing with my dad – yes, I think Sweet Pea is just right. Maybe later I’ll layer it with some Black Raspberry Vanilla for a cozy feel.

I used to like this years ago, but even then I used it very sparingly. I just re-tested it (the body spray in the store), and I don’t know what I saw (smelled) in it. It’s pleasant, but very sweet and it pretty much stays the same the whole time I have it on. The fruitiness became a sort of Kool-Aid or Popsicle cloyingness on me. I think it would only work for someone under 20.

I think Sweet Pea is an awesome fragrance, but as a guy, I could never get away with wearing it to work, etc., because it’s so unique, and every other woman is familiar with it. So somebody would say, “Aren’t you wearing Sweet Pea from Bath & Body Works?”, and I would have to admit it! But still, take away the pink packaging and remove the word “sweet” from the name, and it’s a wonderful, vegetal scent that smells exactly like green peas and sugar. Too bad it wasn’t marketed as unisex: maybe in a light green bottle, and with a different name…. such as “Eau de Vegetal” or something similar. Yes, it’s very sugary, but so are many men’s fragrances.

The bottle attracted me at first. The perfume itself smelled amazingly on the tester paper(reminded me of flower scents I smelled at night when Id take a stroll at my Greek country town by the sea). It lasted on the paper for 5 days till I threw it away! On my skin smells great but differently. It lasts for at least 5 hours. I do smell the dry down of it right away though, but its pleasant. The body mist smells like the watered down version of the perfume and it doesn’t represent it well. This is a scent I def don’t have in my collection. Paris Amour=smelled like sweet baby food to me. Velvet Sugar=smells like a candle, yuck – interesting dry down tho and Forever Red is boring and repetitive to me(smelled it on my waitress for the first time). Sweet pea is the winner!

Sweet Pea is definately one for the younger crowd – even just smelling it on my friend senior year of high school it seemed too young. One of the few perfumes that are floral dominate but noticeably young. I stand by that it’s a dominate floral, but it’s a very very sweet floral! Sort of sweet in a candy way, but more in just a naturally sweet smelling flower kind of way. It’s very cute and girly but be warned! Don’t spray on too much PLEASE. My friend I mentioned who wore it would DRENCH herself in it and it smelled so so gross! I would really only ever buy the body spray, I’d be afraid the EDT would be too strong.

Sweet Pea is simply lovely! Of all of B&BW fragrances, this is the one I like most. My daughter wears this; I sometimes steal a spritz or two. (I really ought to get my own: it’s certainly reasonably priced!).
Whenever I smell this I wonder whether it’s really perfume I’m smelling, or perhaps a fragrant hair product, soap, or fabric softener. It’s just that fleeting and soft. People could wear this to the office quite easily, without worrying about offending a soul.

I’m usually not a big fan of sweet perfumes (sometimes they smell too cloying on my skin) but somehow Sweet Pea works really well with my body chemistry. I kept passing by it at the BBW store since I usually aim for green/fresh perfumes however one day I decided to give it a chance. And I find myself going back to it 🙂 It is sweet yes but not gourmand nor tarty….it has just a right amount of floral freshness to make it wearable. Sillage and longevity is pretty good for a BBW scent! Lasts about 4 hours on my skin. (Since BBW’s body care line is pretty cheap, I bought the whole Sweet Pea set including shower gel/body mist/lotion…so that I can layer them and make the scent lasts longer). This is one of my favorite BBW scents so far I think..as it doesnt dissapear quickly nor smell ‘thin’. Very cheerful, pretty, young fragrance…great for sexy summer nights when its cooler 🙂 as it might be too sweet for hot days…p.s. I find that boys like these kinda scents :p

This is a favorite locally around my parts – sample any group of women and at least one is wearing Sweet Pea. Unfortunately I gave in to the trend, but I must admit the fragrance is delightful. It’s very sweet and girly, which isn’t a bad thing all the time. It’s innocent and playful, and it’s great for a warm spring or summer day out on the town. No, it’s nothing complex, but it is a simple pleasure. It doesn’t seem to change too much on my skin (or anyone else’s for that matter) so in that respect it’s dependable. One of B&B’s best.
