Some years ago I was sent this fragrance as a gift from a kind perfume friend located in Europe. Marbert is not a known brand in Australia, and their fragrances are relatively unheard of.
Sun Spirit sounds like the perfect Summer scent, it is however an acquired taste. This fragrance is all about the juicy berries and has very little sweetness.
Sun Spirit opens with realistic notes of crushed strawberries and raspberries. If you’ve ever microwaved frozen berries you may have caught a whiff of warmed berries releasing their juices, this is what Sun Spirit smells like to me.
For the first hour or so, Sun Spirit does have the tendency to be a little sour. Once settled on the skin, however, the sandalwood and soft vanilla notes soften the juiciness of the berries and in turn becomes more wearable.
Supposedly Sun Spirit is a ‘sun proof’ scent. I’m not sure what that means, but I have worn this scent on occasion during the heat of Summer outdoors, and I must say that it lasts surprisingly well. The projection is also quite strong, so a few sprays is all that is required.
I have to be in the mood to wear this fragrance, but on a mild Summer day, Sun Spirit is perfectly suitable. It’s also a great fragrance for fruity floral lovers, especially those seeking a realistic berry accord.

Very fruity, very tropical, very holiday 🙂
Sun Spirit is so going with me on holiday!
It is so mouthwatering and make you want to jump onto the first flight to a tropical island!
Longetivity and silage are decent for Eau De Toilette – approx 3 hours.
I don’t mind reapplying during the day because it is so refreshing with every spritz!
I would say that if you are a fan of Escada fragrances, you will love this one.
To me, the fragrance is 9/10 🙂
I wish Sun Spirit was released as an EDP concentration and it would become one of my very top favs 🙂
