Sun Moon Stars Karl Lagerfeld for women of Karl Lagerfeld

Share:

Description

This seductive, feminine perfume has been at the market since 1994 and it belongs to floral-oriental group.

It was designed by Sophia Grojsman and dedicated to a modern and independent woman. The bottle is beautiful, made of midnight-blue glass with symbols of sun, moon and stars, with a round, gold top.

The fragrance accompanies the bottle’s design perfectly; it is long lasting and intoxicating.

It opens with fruity-floral notes of freesia, bergamot, pineapple, orange blossom, lotus, rice and juicy peach. The heart of this exotic fragrance is created of heliotrope, intensive jasmine, orange blossom, daffodil, carnation, lily of the valley, seductive orchid and iris. The base carries sandalwood, cedar, amber, musk and vanilla.

oh this is one of my all time favorite scents !!! i stocked up so i have about 4 bottles of this stuff- i love it 🙂
and im not offended in the least when someone says something horrid about it lol………..its one of those scents u either love or hate lol
it is strong but it wears very well on me & on me i get all the beautiful powdery flowers & the amazing dry down of sandlewood , amber, musk & vanilla – oh my these ingredients always do well with me 🙂 they make for a creamy dreamy luxury dry down on me – theres also cedar in the dry down but i dont smell that at all lol
this is a classic powerhouse powdery floral of the 90’s & i would love to see this come back………..i always get compliments when i wear it too 🙂
i wore it today on a hike & it was windy so everytime the wind blew i got this beautiful whiff of powdery florals – it was amazing !!! and a mountain biker rode by & said i smelled great lol – so random lol – he made me smile – there i was hiking away & glisening (well really sweating in the heat & wind lol ) & im glad my perfume left a beautiful impression on the trails lol 🙂

Had this perfume in my youth. I miss it so much. Sweet, powdery and flowery. I miss especially the sweet pineapple scent. I with they would bring this baby back. I would repurchace in a split second. I used to love wearing Sun, Moon and stars. Bring it back !

This is a negative review, so be aware of that if you like this perfume. I bought this very cheaply, maybe 15 years ago when it was in production. It’s one of the few I’ve disliked enough to get rid of. I can see some comparison to Eternity, which I sort of like, but SMS has always seemed very sour to me, I detected almost a fermenting-ketchup sort of smell that I could never move past. Also one of the longest lasting and reaching perfumes I’ve ever had. I felt almost claustrophobic when I wore this because even after multiple furious scrubbings, it still hung around on my skin for over a day later. It’s unfortunate that mostly only perfumes I dislike seem to do that on me, but this one was unique even in that aspect. It was a blind buy because of the cute blue bottle, but even that didn’t save it in my collection. One of the few I hope to never smell again.

    One of my olfactive nightmares.
Like sugar syrup served on an old silver spoon!
Candied ananas syrup (sticky, almost 100% sugar) + metalic note (iron, silver). One hour after spraying: headache… I don’t get any flowers.
It’s sweetnes reminds me slightly World by Kenzo.

Warm hazy nights on a balcony, adorned by blooms of white flowers across the marble barrier and the scent of fruit in a bowl, warmed by the lingering of the summer sun.
This was a dreamy scent from my childhood. There was always a bottle of it on my mother’s dressing table. Back then it was the swirl top lid and the matte glass. My bottle was gifted to me by my mother after it was discontinued and the price shot up. It’s from 2002 and is the clear bottle with smooth cap.
Its fruity, sweet, powdery, a little overwhelming. But endearing, familiar. Truly a nighttime scent for dreaming away summer days. I’ll miss this when my bottle is finished.

Sun Moon Stars by Karl Lagerfeld is a fairly iconic 90’s fragrance. Sadly this is one scent that I fear has succumbed to multiple reformulations over the years, as my recent sample is not something I could imagine having stood the test of time.
I can only tolerate this fragrance in the drydown, where it has a soft, sweet floral-musky aroma, not unlike Calvin Klein’s Eternity for Women. I wore quite a bit of Eternity for Women back in the day, and really enjoyed its soapy, clean interpretation of carnation. Sun Moon Stars is also a dominant carnation fragrance, however, it doesn’t wear quite as well as the Calvin Klein classic.
Sun Moon Stars is a very bold scent, long lasting too. It opens with slightly synthetic freesia, carnation and rose, sweetened with pineapple, peach and vanilla. This is a very ‘retro’ smelling fragrance, especially towards the heart and base where the white musk and sandalwood notes give it a signature dusty aroma.
I really have to be in the mood to wear Sun Moon Stars, I also have to remember to go light on the sprays as this fragrance packs quite a punch. As I mentioned earlier, Calvin Klein Eternity for Women has better execution, but in saying so, if you like one you may enjoy the other.
I admire much of the Karl Lagerfeld fragrance line, but sadly Sun Moon Stars fell a bit short with me.

Tried a vintage pure perfume borrowed from a friend. At first it was sharp and unpleasant, probably the carnation and orange blossom (+ other shrieky flowers) that need a very delicate hand to work on my skin. I had a lot of work to do, so just ignored the unpleasantness and plugged away. Suddenly, about an hour later- BOOM! It turned into the most gorgeously creamy soft sandalwood vanilla. And not even sweet!
I do need to find my own bottle!

Lots of flowers, some wood notes, vanilla, the 90’s had styles, huge components. But it does not smell typical honey, thick as the perfume of these years, it is quite pleasant.
Such a warm, romantic evening. Nice and sweet.
The name fits, durability up to 7 hours, is very good for an edt.
Somehow it also comes to my mind, somewhere in the year 97 probably, different perfumes came out ORIFLAME.. a bit similar, 1 moon, the other was a star and the third sun, so the question is dear oriflamie, or after the success you copied a good grip and instead of having your idea you went for a dupe?

Captures the zeitgeist of the ’90s very well. Good longevity, I was still smelling (the good part of) this on my skin four hours or so after trying it on.

Sun Moon Stars is a Grojsman creation, through and through. If you like Eternity, Exclamation, and Tresor, it’s safe to assume you’ll like SMS too. There is a lot of overlap between them, it has the peachy-pineapple fruitiness, but with the spice of the carnation to make it more fruit compote than fruity cocktail.
I have the EDT, and the parfum. I much prefer the EDT. The parfum seems a bit more serious, heavier on the musk and the base notes. The EDT is softer, and a bit ethereal. The cobalt blue magic potion bottle suits it well. I like to wear it on cool crisp sunny days.
It’s a shame that it’s off the shelves, and the only way to buy it is to pay big bucks for dead stock and used bottles. But if you’re a fan of those Grojsman sweet peachies, it’s a must for your collection, even if only a decant or mini.

Remember when you were a kid and you’d rip open the packet of Koolaid and huff that first little wisp of fruit powder?
    Only me?
    Alllrighty then.
There’s a weird wet/dry to this one, like slippery elm and peachfuzz. 3 hours later it turns creamy floral–bright in the winter and soft in the summer–but at the end of the day it dries into a fantastic vanilla tree bark.
And the bottle makes for great curtain rod finials.

I blind bought this perfume off ebay for reasons I can’t remember but probably mostly to do with the pretty bottle. Alas, I can’t justify keeping it since it’s too fruity and sweet for my taste and I will never wear it.
I would love to do a trade. If anyone is interested, message me!
    UPDATE: Traded.

This immediately became my signature scent when I received a bottle of it for Christmas within a year of it’s release in the 1990’s. Now that it’s discontinued, my heart is absolutely broken because I’m not someone who is willing to just drop hundreds of dollars on a single bottle of perfume. During the years she was my signature, I would pay around $25 for a 3.4 ounce bottle and anyone who runs a quick search can see the present asking prices!
Thank you to the Fragrantican who educated me about IFRA, a lesson learned due to the bafflement and dismay at Sun Moon Stars’ mandated demise.
Though I don’t currently own either, I find Elizabeth Taylors’ Diamonds & Rubies (though a shade spicier) as well as her Diamonds & Sapphires (though fruitier) to be very similar, each almost a dead-ringer/ dupe for SMS. I’ll add that both are stellar performers with regard to sillage and longevity and their value, or cost-to-quality ratio, is off the charts superb.
I presently have *two 1.7 ounce bottles and one mini of the pure parfum and intend to cherish every last, beautiful drop.

My Grandmother (Her name is Naomi but I called her “Omi”) had this on her vanity in the mid-90’s. Omi was always very fashion forward! I have always loved perfume but this bottle cemented my love for fragrances even more!I loved the bottle, it looked like something that a fairy or an angel would gift to a princess. It looked like it held star-dust or dreams or unicorn tears!
I can still remember my Omi’s vanity, she had Clinique face cream that smelled like nothing (fragrance free) a HUGE Mr. Peanut Tin for loose change. A black and white picture of her Dad in a simple silver frame. She had a big blue pouf-like chair and she had lace-edged hankies in the drawer which I would take out and play with, draping the lace edge over my finger and pretending it was a bride or princess or a princess-bride.
I haven’t smelled this in years but I know I’d probably still be very fond of it, I remember this smelling very sweet, powdery, very feminine, very pretty but sort of musky and warm too. Omi loves Shalimar by Guerlain for Autumn/Winter and she wears L’eau D’issey by Issey Miyake in Spring/Summer

This was my desperate attempt to find something to replace my beloved Avon nightmusk.
I have to say it was a success!
    I love it.
    Light, floral, powdery musk.
I started using this and then….boom. Lagerfeld stopped making it.
I seem to doomed to find lovely fragrances which are then discontinued 🙁
I have found some on e bay and thanks to members of fragrantica I have also bought Elizabeth Taylor diamonds and rubies – both by the genius sophia grosjman – and which smell very similar to me.
If you like subtle powderyscents this is for you.

This review is more about my special memory rather than about its notes. Ahhh….this fragrance brings back many great memories. Sun, Moon and Stars was a Christmas gift from a young, smart, handsome “marriage material” man, at that time. We met at a hair salon of all places (with foils of highlighter in my hair). He came from a good family and background. Every time I wore SMS to the office, daytime, dancing at clubs, nighttime, shopping, or anything, people would stop me and ask what I was wearing. It became my signature scent for a while. Unfortunately, purchased it recently and it did not smell the same. Most likely reformulated. Although the man and SMS are not a part of my life anymore, the good memories will remain a lifetime.

There are 90s scents still hanging around my drawer—some of them because I can’ bear to finish the bottle of a discontinued masterpiece (Kenzo, we’ll never see your like), and some of them because I didn’t manage to soldier on and use them up in 20 years. Sun Moon Stars is in the latter category.
If you like it, you like it, of course, but if you’re just reading because you’re on a quest to sample some worthwhile oldies, save yourself the trouble of hunting this one down. You can find Sophia Grojsman’s masterpiece Eternity on just about every corner (not that they’re alike), while SMS deserves oblivion. If it were a record, it would be neither a seminal piece nor a brilliant yet underappreciated B-side. More like a major label flop we tried to like for a while because the marketing was so persuasive. A flowery-fruity concoction, nondescript at best, and to my nose, even unpleasant because of the compote-like sweetness.

I blind bought this one in a duty free shop in Japan a few years ago to get rid of some useless change and try a Lagerfeld (he was in the plane in 1st class and I easily recognized him as he was the first person to step out), being aware of the risk of financing haute couture rather than making a good deal. Then forgot it in a drawer and fell on it again a few weeks ago and finally opened it. What a deception: For an hour or so, it smells like some anonymous artificial flavor a la 2 or 3 bucks an onze, and then only I get some too peppery carnation for one more hour, and finally some true floral scents, but too weak to define. So for me this one doesn’t make … scents 🙂 !

Back in the day, I really liked this fragrance. I purchased another bottle about a year or so again. While not doing my research, was there a reformulation done? Upon getting my new bottle, I was so excited. When I opened the box, I was so let down. It did not have the same appeal, and smelled different as though something had changed. I gave it awhile hoping to capture the past and to once love this again. Unfortunately, I was let down. Made me sad. I gave this away to my mother. She seems to like it.
However make it be know, that I do/did like this fragrance years ago, and I have very fond memories of what was then. Xo

Lovely and now vintage..iIt still pops up in shops though, but I wouldn`t buy it anymore, no matter how we were great friend a while back.. Vanilla, heliotrope and something heavy in it, not sure maybe the orris – it makes it maybe a bit masculine even..I sprayed it on my boyfriend and concluded that even he could get away with wearing it..Juicy and flowery but not harsh, more like deep and grounding without overpowering. It`s more interesting than a lot of perfs from the time and for me very much of a throwback to a romantic summer night in the 90s. Every time I take a sniff of my big bottle I`ve owned for the last 6 years is simply pure joy, but I just wouldn`t wear it anymore. It still is a steady piece in my collection and after going through at least three 100 ml bottles in my life, it will remain an indelible edit.x

I loved this fragrance when it first came out and my mom wore it and I used to steal spritzes of it. I rediscovered it last year when I received it in a swap and I still loved its floral spiciness. But recently I moved to a colder climate and tried it on a chilly windy day. Love turned to absolute adoration. The peach and vanilla moved forward and turned spicy into sweet and creamy. The rose also came up and blended beautifully with the carnation. It is absolutely breathtaking and one of my new (old) favorites. What a surprise!

Sun Moon Stars Eau de Parfum Spray Blue Glass Bottle
    Such a delicious perfume!
I love fragrances like this, a fruit flavor, sweet & casual. Sun Moon Stars was for me a day wear perfume. She was a pineapple juice and apricot juice, peach booze & orange blossom. I equate her with those very fruity florals from the 90’s i.e. Deci Dela by Nina Ricci, Tresor by Lancôme, Donna by Pavarotti, Volupte by Oscar De La Renta, Cartier So Pretty & Chloe Narcisse. If you like any of these scents, you’ll love this if you still haven’t tried it. It’s a discontinued fragrance so you will have to make the big leap into blind purchase, but trust me, it’s worth it.
The bottle is very artistic with a sun burst logo and blue glass. It’s not overtly feminine looking although I think the scent is more on the feminine side than unisex because it does come off as very fruity. The first notes that reach my nose are always the peach, the pineapple & orange blossom. It’s not too citrusy because that peach & pineapple combination is the key ingredient. Smells like a fruit juice and if it just wasn’t a perfume I’d drink it. The fruitiness is evocative of the summer time.
Florals in this scent include carnation, rose & heliotrope and a big orange blossom. The orange blossom is the more dominant floral note and it’s tagging along after the citrus, and once the scent begins to dry it’s powdery because it might have an orris root & at any rate heliotrope can be quite powdery. This is a delicate powdery floral scent when the fruit notes fade. At the same time, she is spicy, balsamic, & vanilla. There is also sandalwood which tends to make it a bit Oriental. I can really smell that sandalwood, it’s my favorite note. The vanilla & amber are in perfect harmony. There is a light musk at the very end of her performance.
This perfume is simple & easy to wear if you’re already used to fruity florals from the 90’s. Yes it is outdated by today’s standards but she smells so good and no one complain about it. I always received compliments on it and still do. Sun Moon Stars is a Sophia Grojsman perfume, the same nose behind so many fantastic fragrances like Tresor & Eternity, Ex-clamation Diamonds and Rubies and so many others. I don’t think of this perfume as being too much like any other of her frags although it reminds me of a more grown up balsamic Oriental version of Exclamation. She is definitely mature but sweet & vanillic. Though it has been largely discontinued she sells online on ebay and Amazon.com among other sites. Highly recommended.

When Lagerfeld discontinued KL, I was completely distraught. His “Sun Moon Stars” is composed of many of the same notes, so I bought it to try, sometime around 2001. The bottle is so gorgeous and lovely to display. The fragrance itself is soft and sweet and actually nothing like KL, so I was disappointed in that aspect. However, I enjoyed SMS for itself. There is a juiciness to it, a little like bubblegum!

This is such a beauty, an angel, a fairytale perfume, such a pity that I can feel it for only 5 to 10 minutes since I am anosmic to peach, but sum Moon Starsis worth it.

I was so enchanted by this perfume!
The bottle looks like something a fairy god mother would present as a gift to Cinderella
Something about this fragrance is innocent and child like, like a grown up perfume – for a little girl!
It reminds me somewhat of Coty’s Ex-cla-mation
An actress girlfriend of mine wears it on stage when she performs as Juliet from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and as Cinderella from Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.
This is a theatrical but sweet delicious scent.
This is a fine fruity floral with juicy peaches, apricots, pineapples and citrus. The fruit here is not sweet (the florals are sweet) and instead they develop like fruit juice or fruit concentrate.
It is also rather oily, spicy, balsamic and it looks like they used less synthetic chemicals than usual. It’s like the real deal folks, perfume oil.
This is a gorgeous peach when it opens and then becomes citrusy floral with an orange blossom.
Orange blossom is the biggest note here.
The heliotrope and vanilla are paired up nicely.
The powder notes are soft like little puffs of peach or orange colored perfume clouds.
This is such a boudoir fragrance.
It can be very soft and mild, so it won’t hit anyone’s noses if you’re drenched in it. It just doesn’t have too much of a projection or sillage. It’s still very detectable and on you for hours though.
I wear this to dinner dates and my Stephen loves this fragrance although it’s not at all a sex bomb or aphrodisiac.
Girly, sweet, somewhat spicy, very fruity, floral and powdery are words I can use to best describe this perfume.
The dry down is a creamy vanilla and I love it
Sun Moon Stars is like the reviewers have stated below, exactly like they describe it. I also do think of it as a princess perfume, a fairy tale fragrance – for grown ups.
    Beautiful

This perfume smells interesting and strange. If you want to define it you can t really because it smells strange. I have it since little, stil have the bottle with some perfume left sice 25 years ago. When i first smelt it i couldn’t say it smelt natural nor fruity, i couldn’t detect what it was made of, that is its strangeness, it’s ingredients make it smell like some sort of weird spichy combination of some sorts.
First spray is sweet but with a dark aura, dusty powdery and oily on my skin, as well creamy and has a delicate kind of smell so different, strange and misterious. So first spray if it be analized is of juicy peach, sweet sirupy like an essence of a flower (the orchid) and honey like and then it settles to a soft powder. It is fruity as well, delicate, strange and feminine.
Some days ago i sprayed this on and left the house when i came back my room was smelling of it, it is long lasting.I don t know why but it works well in a house made of wood, that s how i see it, i find it a comfort smell – i would spray some books with this make myself comfortable in a chair near a chemine with wood with a glass of wine and start reading.
It is feminine, heady, beautiful and sophisticated.
Because of it’s dark heavy fascinating aura, drawning yourself in it …and has it’s own feel good vibe; i’m not always in the mood for it but when i am i luv it.
Smelling it again now makes me think of nivea cream and spices.
Hmm i found that it smells like lemon, it smells lemony at one point and woody and salty as well.
I am in my element when i have it on and it is one of my favorites, luv❤

I just bought this from a lady in a community “garage sale” group on Facebook, and I’m willing to bet it hasn’t been stored the best (she didn’t have the box) because the beginning has that unmistakable “perfume gone bad” scent, but not TOO badly because it does go away after a few minutes. Just mentioning because it could be tainting my opinion a bit. This is the EDT.
Sun Moon Stars is VERY Grojsman. It smells a lot like a somewhat less spicy version of Diamonds and Rubies. It’s sweet and fruity, a bit syrupy, florals there but indeterminate to my nose, which is odd because carnation is supposed to be prominent, and I love carnation. Someone below mentioned a “powdery halo” and that’s very true to my experience as well; right on the skin, it’s not powdery, but is softly so from about 18 inches. The base is on the sweeter side of typical oriental. Moderate in strength, but I could see it being headache-inducing if oversprayed. This is eating stewed peaches and vanilla ice cream on the moon to me, so do with that what you will, lol.
Overall, I like it. I’m a fan of what I’ve smelled of Grojsman’s work, and Sun Moon Stars is smack-dab in her “comfort zone.” Bonus? Super cute bottle for anyone who loved the 90’s. Very kitschy now in 2016.

Syrupy, sweet, like an apricot that has been squeezed into a perfumed oil that you apply on your skin. It has a delicious powdery aura, like an orange halo. It smells innocent and angelic.
The bottle looks like it belonged on the table of an alchemist or magician of the Renaissance period (i.e. Nostradamus). The name Sun Moon Stars grabbed my attention. This is a powdery fruity floral boudoir perfume. It’s easy to wear and flexible for both day and night, casual and formal occasions. There is no age group to this perfume. My daughter loves it and has borrowed it from me.
The first spritz is an orange blossom and honey. It smells like a sweet mix of orange blossom and peach or peach-apricot. The fruits segue into a floral heart of heliotrope, rose, orchid, ylang and water lily. There might also be a carnation. It smells like a typical Sophia Grojsman if you’ve worn frags of hers like Tresor by Lancôme. This is absolutely gorgeous.
My husband loves this perfume on me but I find that it wears best in spring and summer as it is a heavy fruity floral. The rest of the time, in colder weather, it smells like fruit that’s been out in the sun for too long.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

SUN MOON STARS is a fragrance I tend to save for days like today when I have time to let it develop. The dry-down is lovely and worth the wait, but for me the initial notes have too much peach and on me, peach can go a bit sharp. Once dry-down occurs (which takes about an hour on me), the fragrance becomes softer, warmer, more blended and more powdery. It’s creamy, woody and a little spicy. The floral notes are quiet. There’s a bit of sweetness to it, but it isn’t sugar-sweet in the way that is currently fashionable. Overall, sillage is moderate, but I tend to go easy with this one and spray just once or twice at the most. Longevity is excellent and makes me forget about the initial peach blast.
This is a sophisticated fragrance, perhaps a little dressy and a little retro, but still versatile and easy to wear if it suits you. Possibly not one to blind buy unless you can return it easily.

This little gem deserves more appreciation by perfumistas everywhere. This is a Sophia Grojsman one of the biggest noses in the business who gave us such masterpieces as Vanderbilt, Tresor, Diamonds and Rubies, Eternity and many other perfume classics. This is a powdery scent of flowers and vanilla. At the first whiff I get some sweet fruit. There was something like an apricot but it could be the peach. The peach in this scent lingers and lingers so that it never does turn into a mature or heavy floral. All the flowers are soft: heliotrope, which is powdery, rose which is also powdery, and orchid. The dry down is amber and vanilla. Puffs of little powder waft up out of this pretty little blue bottle. I keep this on my dresser table. It’s light and inoffensive so even if you overspray it sticks to your skin like a syrup and it does not project outwardly too much. It’s a fragrance to wear to any event at any time day or night winter spring or summer. A very beautiful fragrance.

    Amazing scent.
My mother used it, now I use it. The beginning was hard and I disliked it (on my mom it smelled warm, cosy), now I love it.
I have to admit that I had to “grow” to wear it and appreciate it among sweet, tropical, beachy scents on my shelf.
I am not a fan of vanilla, but here it is cold, metallic; even peach is not so juicy to my nose.
It lasts for hours on me, the whole work day. The opening is strong, but it ends with beautiful delicate flowers, also the vanilla becomes more warm with time.
Eternity is milder to me. I love both and will use it as long as possible!
It smells best during winter and autumn. I am amazed by the fact that it actually whispers: 90’s! yet it is modern. Ageless.

Pas le meilleur des Karl Lagerfeld…
Peu de tenue mais un sillage agréable

For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams
    Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes
    Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
Her name was not Annabel Lee, but the one which exemplifies beauty since antiquity and brought Troy to its knees. And I guess her sparkling aura was the sun missing from E.A.Poe’s immortal elegy.
    And now she’s gone…
The lodestar of five wonderful years of my life has stopped twinkling. And the perfume which was once the epitome of immense tenderness and fearless devotion has now become a lachrymose memento mori.
She was living in Sweden for some years now. I believe she somehow belonged there, for, despite coming from the easternmost part of the Mediterranean, she was a tall blond green-eyed Valkyrie.
I still remember the day when she stormed our tiny appartment some 20 years ago, looking forward to show me her newfound objet d’art. She was like a night witch caught red-handed in broad daylight with a blue sphere of rather questionable intents in her hands. I couldn’t help but admit that what she was holding looked and smelled so very beautiful, but still, I asked her what was it that she found so irresistible about it.
“First of all its name keeps my alien heart dreaming. Then, I love the idea of holding a tiny cerulean cosmos in my hand and be its ruly queen. Oh, and this is where I shall be roaming when I’ll leave this planet…in a hundred years from now.”
She left at 42, 80 years short of her giggling expectation. I guess she could no longer resist the skies beckoning her.
She fought bravely till the end.
I sank in a corner, rerunning the reel of our time together in the theatre of my mind. Drowsy mornings, lazy noons, wistful evenings, tender nights, quirky days, sweet cravings, hilarious fights, all reeking with Sun, Moon, Stars, the perfume she loved the most. I won’t label it as her signature, for her true signature was her mere existence, knocking silly my enamoured heart. When I raised my head anew the night had already began to unfold its inky, condoling tentacles all around me. I can’t recall another time of my life being spent in such an “idle” way but I guess I can’t recall such a cataclysmic downpour of memories either.
I sprayed some of her tiny cosmos on me and hit the streets, melting in the warm Greek summer night that she will never feel again. I’m sure she’d never want me to shed a tear for her, but this is her only wish that I find impossible to grant.
Farewell my beautiful sköldmö. Please don’t be sad that hereafter my gothic heart shall always be a little more gothic forevermore. I hope you’ll find peace someplace between Mount Olympus and Valhalla. Someplace amongst Suns…Moons…Stars…

    UPDATE:
Idk what happened, but… I’m in love. I’ve gone from a solid “Meh” to nearly Over the Moon.
Anyone know what the deal is w/ the recent, huge price increase?
She is not what she used to be, for sure.
Back in the day, when all perfumes were glorious, and you could spray them on Friday night, and still smell them Sunday morning, this was a different fragrance.
I don’t much care for what it is now. It smacks you in the face w/ carnations. Longevity is about as good as most things that pass for ‘perfume’ these days.
The drydown is quite good, however. I have a hard time NOT sniffing my wrists.
ETA: Thank you, Kameron! I didn’t know.

This is fantastic. I’m so glad I got into vintage perfumes from the 80s and 90s. I always get tons of compliments when I wear this. This is a romantic perfume. The feelings it evokes are of innocence like a memory of a first love. Even though it does have a sweet innocent charm it’s not girly or teenager type either. It’s definitely for a grown woman. It’s a gorgeous bouquet of flowers: carnation seems to be taking the lead followed by rose but it has plenty of powdery heliotrope and iris, orchids, fressia, water lily lily of the valley and jasmine. The fragrance is mostly floral and as for the fruit notes all I got was the peach but it did something weird and it seemed to appear after I smelled the flowers. The peach then turns into vanilla and it sort of kind of smells like a perfumed version of peach yogurt. The vanilla in the dry down is absolutely divine. I think it smells so good and the bottle is very pretty. This makes me think of something worn by a fairy or a character in Lord of the Rings. So beautiful.

Okay, seriously, this is a dead ringer for the smell in the dentist’s office where I grew up. My SO thought I was going crazy so I stuck the bottle under his nose. He was silent for a couple of seconds, got a funny look on his face and said “okay, you’re right”. That said, I don’t dislike this scent, it is rather intriguing, but it will forever read “dentist” to me.

I find this to be like a candy perfume, it is so sweet, fruity and light.
