Not my cup of tea. This easily leans masculine and smelled like a generic overpowering aquatic musky cologne which drys down to a slightly more unique cedar musk. I sprayed 3-4 times and would not recommend it as it’s very strong. 1-2 sprays would do. I attempted to wipe some of it off and it is still too strong (although it isn’t giving me a headache at least) so points for longevity.
Definitely not a fan & I wouldn’t describe anything but the initial spray as “fresh” because it almost immediately turns into musk overload. It’s not bad… just not what I look for in a scent.

Meh, it’s a unisex freshie in the style of Davidoff Cool Water. Top notes are too masculine for me, and the dry down is soft and sweet like rain (hence the name, I guess). Nothing different or unique here, and frankly, this ground has been covered before back in the 90’s, which I remember all too well, when the fresh scents like CW and Acqua di Gio exploded. So this reminds me of a man, fresh from his shower. That is not how I want to smell, personally.
Edit: When this is nothing more than a skin scent, it becomes truly lovely: a tangy cedar-vetiver combo. That’s my favorite part, but it takes to long to get there (all day).

Summer Rain is a fresh, lovely summer scent. I don’t get any rainy humidity smell from it, but it is fresh and summery, opening with lovely fresh-squeezed lime and jasmine, with soft orange blossom. Very tropical smelling to my nose. Vetiver and cedar come in strong as the fragrance developed on my skin, but it is very well balanced and very unisex. A soupcon of juicy grapefruit rounds out the composition. Just perfect for summer, especially a tropical Florida summer. FB worthy in my opinion.

Im a sucker for trying fragrances that I hope will smell like rainy weather. And I was convinced to buy this one after reading the note breakdown and it having some of my favorites – lime, jasmine, orange blossom. I will say it doesn’t actually remind me much of rain or humid/thundery weather – if not for the name I don’t think I would make the association on my own. However I do really really love it anyway. It is very ‘me’. Youthful and active because of the lime and citrus but still girly and fresh because of the florals. (I know they say unisex but to me this really does smell more feminine ). Occasionally I smell a bit of the woody notes that give it a bit of creaminess to stop it being too sharp of a citrus scent. Its a perfect summer fragrance that feels refreshing and energizing and mixes perfectly with hot days, which is maybe what they were going for, a nice accompaniment to hot stormy weather as opposed to recreating it. I can see myself repurchasing this as its becoming a standout in my collection.

Yes! This one also matches its name. It’s very fresh, and does make me think of how it smells after a rainstorm. I like my scents a little warmer and cozier, so I probably won’t purchase this one. However; if you enjoy fresher or citrus-type scents, give this one a try..

LOVE this! Great citrus to start balanced nicely by white floral, which I smell as jasmine. The base of cedar and vetiver are there, all blended so nicely.
This is my first try with this fragrance, after purchasing the discovery set from Raw Spirit’s website. (Delivery was outstanding btw!) I also tried their Bijou Vert – also nice – in my hunt for a unique citrusy summer frag. Will try this a few more times, but my hubby deems it FB worthy, and at this point so do I!
Edit: the dry down is very clean, and definitely says Summer Rain! Super frag!

After putting off purchasing the sample set of Raw Spirit fragrances, I was delighted to see that my procrastination had allowed for the emergence of a new fragrance in the line up! Summer Rain is the one I’d assume I’d be the least interested in based on the notes (I’m more of a dark, spicy & smoky oriental kinda gal). So please, bear in mind that I’m not typically into light, citrusy or fresh smells, but I must say, this one is quite nice.
The thing I generally dislike about citrus scents is that they can be a bit too sharp and tickle my nose… Summer rain luckily lacks this quality, offering a very “soft spoken” grapefruit, which seems to overpower the lime just a little bit. It helps that I personally love white florals (particularly jasmine), and here, they lend a soft nearly-edible sweetness to the mix.
With that out of the way, let’s get to the best part: The name “Summer Rain” really is dead on – It absolutely reminds me of summer, and it really does remind me of the way it smells either before or after a good rain. The woody notes give it a little more depth and a little more… petrichor. That’s what sets it apart from other citrusy florals. It’s fresh, green, citrusy, sure… but has a bit of a “gloomy side”, like an incoming storm.
It’s simple yet intriguing, perfect for women and men alike. Can’t recommend this one enough!
