I absolutely love this fragrance. It is my favorite of all the Graces. I get compliments when I wear it. It’s light and fresh, and on me, it has great longevity. I am so sad it has been discontinued. I am stocking up on it on eBay.

I wasn’t sure I liked this but I tried it again and really enjoy it. It’s been hot, maybe that is why.

I bought a full bottle of this at a thrift store for $4. Yes, you read that right. Mixed in among all the plentiful and forgettable Avon stuff (there is a reason why thrift stores are full of Avon perfume) was this little gem. This is not a light floral, but a richer one. I definitely get gardenia, one of my favs. It stuck around for a good long while too. Nothing sour or synthetic on me. Pretty happy with my find!

Pretty greenish floral with way too much calone. Very strong on me (dry skin type). Migraine-inducing for me. 🙁

Let me preface this by saying, I live in Chicago. Winters here are hard on us, but summer can be just as rough on us-at least our perfumes! I like a scent in a store, it works with my chemistry, then BAM! A high heat/humidity day comes along, and most scents seem to either wilt, or becoming cloying in those conditions. Sadface! I blind bought this scent at TJ Maxx for $29.00 and I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, but after it stood up so well on a 90% humidity day I am sold! It smells light and fresh for hours in the summer heat, and I keep on getting compliments on it! Great buy! Excellent value, the longevity could be better, but I don’t mind a quick re-spritz every 5-6 hrs! Good work Philosophy!
As far as scent notes go, I get a lot of gardenia, honeysuckle, lilly of the valley, along with some citrus as well.

I bought this as a TSV special on QVC which came with enormous bottles of shower gel, lotion and then the bottle of perfume. I can honestly say I was into it at first, but it kind of reminds me now of household cleaning products on my skin. There is something about the whole philosophy line that kind of bothers me. None of the scents last on me! They are way overpriced! I rather go to Victoria’s Secret and treat myself to a $10 or even $25 body mist.
Update: Wore this all last summer during hot humid weather. Kind of got bored and moved on to other scents. Gave half full bottle with all the shower gel and lotion to my sister who loves clean scents. I am finding it harder and harder to find clean scents I love.

I wanted to like this soooo much. I kept trying it. I can barely smell anything and even when I use a lot. I smell faint flowers of some kind, but nothing that sticks out.
So disappointed because I love the idea of a “clean” smell and nothing obtrusive. None of the scents from Philosophy smell like anything to me. Maybe it’s my chemistry or my nose isn’t sensitive enough, not sure 🙁

I didn’t like the top notes of this perfume, but after letting it sit on my skin for a while, it turned into a beautiful, bright citrusy scent, which was just what I was looking for! LOVE this for summer.

This is a work safe light, day time summer scent especially great for those of us with sensitive skin and sensitive noses. If you are into powerful, sexy musks or super sweetness and like to ‘make an entrance’ this is not your perfume and it’s highly unlikely any other fragrances in the Philosophy family are for you either.
With that in mind I feel this has fairly decent lasting power I get about 6 hours to it alone you will get WAY more if you layer it with the body lotion like up to 12. The lotion is much stronger I can get 8-9 hours from lotion alone. As always those around us seem to smell our perfume more than we do. I always get compliments when I wear this and it’s always along the lines of “you smell lovely” or if I’m in a crowd “someone smells so good”.
As for notes and layers. This is not very layered at all. It comes out all bright with peach and rose and just a little and I mean little powdery. It dries down to a beautiful blend of peony, vanilla, sandalwood and a musky coconut.
It’s not the kind of scent you wear to exude power in a business meeting or attract attention in some overcrowded night club. We all know those kind of scents and if you find them unpleasant you will find summer grace to be a winner.
9/10 for this lady only because her sister falling in love summer is so unbelievably soft and yet alluring that it is my perfect 10.

I can hardly smell this. This is a big waste of money. This is the second Philosophy scent and the absolute last I will buy. I bought Unconditional Love and that disappears in like 5 minutes. BBW lasts way longer than this and those are light to begin with. What a shame. For the little that I do smell, it does smell nice but I have to really strain to smell it. I guess I could use this on a hot day to cool myself off, like water as I won’t be able to smell anything. I’m usually not that picky and negative, but give me a break, this is not worth the money.

Soft and floral and dissipates within an hour. Nice but not unique. More like a body splash than a perfume. It’s probably easily duped at a cheaper price although if you’re looking for something cheaper than Marc Jacobs…then here you go.
    On me,
    Sillage: close to skin
    Longevity: one hour
    Rating: 1/5

I’m sorry, but it disapears after 20 minutes from my skin so I can’t feel anything.

I agree with timetoski. This smells a lot like a more watered-down version of Marc Jacobs.
Pleasant gardenia, very light. Emphasis on the word “light”. If your nose accidentally catches a whiff of it blowing in the wind, it’s quite nice.

While this fragrance doesn’t have the best staying power, and it isn’t really layered, it is beautiful in its simplicity. Definitely a good scent for the summertime– nice, light and feminine.

Bought this fragrance 1 month ago and its smells beautiful, ive notice that when I wash my clothes in the yellow bottled lenor, this philosopy scent last on my clothes all day and i mean ALL DAY!!!. A lovely addition to my stash!

Smells like Monoi Tiare Tahiti. Very summery, sweet, and warm. I enjoy this so much on hot, casual days.

I think it must have a bit of gardenia in it because, when wearing it today, several times I kept thinking “I smell Marc Jacobs….?

I liked this more than I thought I would, and I’m probably going to pick it up tomorrow. Like the name, it’s perfect for Summer. It starts very sweet, but to me dries down to a soft linen and water scent. Like Amazing Grace, it’s very comforting.

there’s a note that’s so light and a tad sweet, i can’t put my finger on it, is it vanilla? coconut? some kind of fruit? i think it’s vanilla but it’s barely there, all i can smell is flowers which is not bad but not special either, it’s nice and honestly, it’s for home use, it’s like a body spray to me, i like it

I recently purchased this and enjoyed it.I can really smell the hint of peach in it.Its a soft sweet smell. It actually makes a great hair perfume,it clings to your hair and leaves a great smell. It has better staying power when combined with the shower gel.

Well, I recvd a sample of this fragrance and expected it to smell like Amazing Grace. It is not the same, and I like it, except it is just way to soft. It disappears on the skin, and have to keep reapplying. Is that a hint of coconut, I smell? Who knows since it is simply described as floral notes. I would buy it if it was more potent-my soaps have stronger long-lasting scents!
