Star Trek Sulu is a pleasant enough fragrance designed to appeal to fans mainly, but not at all bad for the price. And at $5 for 100ml (at Marshalls), it’s difficult to complain about performance if the scent is pleasant enough. Unsurprisingly, the performance is very weak, but the scent is pretty nice, albeit synthetic.
What I get from it is a fresh mix of citrus, mint, tea, and musk, not too sharp, and as it very quickly dries down, the citrus and mint fades into a musky floral drydown. Simple enough, and I can’t complain. Ohhh myyy

A pleasant, but not exceptional, fragrance. It is fresh and light. Surprisingly, I have gotten a couple of compliments wearing this. Grab it while it is super-cheap and before it is gone.

If you are a fan of the first run Star Trek series, a scent collector or Howard Stern Show devotee, then you owe it to yourself to pick up Sulu. If you are a fragrance aficionado, the low price ($5 USD) and cheap packaging are indicative of a synthetic aromatic worthy of a pass. Notes do not progress past base, with sandalwood and musk remaining dominant throughout wearing. A spray or two is plenty as I could see this easily cloying. I only plan to wear this around the house or at times I expect “Trekkies” may be present.
