Fragrance Review For Sultane White Pearl Jeanne Arthes
Top Notes Mandarin Orange Bergamot Ginger
Middle Notes Rose Violet Lily Jasmine
Base Notes Moss Musk
Easy to wear and delicately mossy like little flowers that grow at the base of trees by their roots, exactly as if a child had picked up the flowers and made a little floral perfume. This is very innocent and child like. I find that some of the Jeanne Arthes fragrances are so blissfully sweet and youthful like they are keeping a secret: Jeanne Arthes is really a 10 year old genius perfumer. This is a very sweet fruity floral with a touch of oak moss, not a big chypre but an introduction to oak moss. The citrus note the mandarin is very delicious as it opens. I enjoy mandarin oranges both as fruit I eat and the scent in perfume. The ginger is what most stands out in the top notes. Sweet and a tad spicy ginger. The florals are at the heart and the core of this perfume as it becomes sweetly floral with a bouquet of roses, violets, jasmines and lilies. Each flower is detectable and you are allowed to have enough time to smell them. The dry down is pure moss but again light moss, not heavy moss. This is sweet, a tad spicy very nice but it could have had a longer life. It was probably on me 4 hours which is not enough time for me to enjoy it. But it’s very nice.

I have all 3 Sultane fragrances in the genie bottle: Sultane in a gold-orange colored bottle, Noir Velour in a black bottle and this one in white. White Pearl is a sweet and somewhat spicy floral scent. Citrus starts off the performance of the scent and they’re fresh and fruity but not cloying. The heart is floral with violet, lily, rose and jasmine. I can smell each of these flowers and they’re beautifully paired. For me this is mostly a floral fragrance. In the base, oak moss is very noticeable. Woodsy but not too strong. This is very subtle. I wore it the other day and no one could even tell I was wearing a perfume. This is a great scent to wear when you don’t want anything too strong, too complex. Just a clean simple floral scent. Beautiful. Jeanne Arthes makes great fragrances. I’ll look into buying more from the line.

Not getting the citrus in the usual way. Getting Moss, cardamom and ginger. Also a dry floral and certainly not a dominant Bergamot. This is a very earthy chypre. Find this could be office appropriate. Wouldn’t even call it fresh. It is very nice but, again, very earthy to me. Good news is there is nothing offensive about white pearl. Of course, this fragrance seems to have nothing to do with water. The citrus here isn’t sparkling. It’s muted.

This is a citrus bomb.
It’s like when you squeeze the peel to get the oil out and its all over your hands and all you can smell for hours is citrus…
In this case it’s Mandarin and Orange.
Bright crisp fresh fragrance with a little bit of ginger. This is a gorgeous sunny day mix.
I’m not getting any of the other notes as the citrus is so overwhelming.
I have been looking for a strong citrus perfume and well, I think this is it.
I don’t think the name White Pearl is very suitable, that conjures pictures of something wedding like, virginal, more creamy floral and musk.
This is citric acid all the way.

I gave a bottle of White Pearl to my daughter as a present at Christmas. During June, she and I were going out to dinner. I was enthralled by the fragrance she was wearing. To my surprise, it was White Pearl. I had no idea how beautiful this fragrance was until it filled the interior of my car. I have two bottles myself, but I had no idea that it had such projection and such a lovely presence. To say the least, I got my two bottles out and have been wearing them regulary ever since. It smells expensive, despite it’s price tag. This is truly a steal! Especially for the summer months, this is a great choice in fragrance!

Against all odds, I used this perfume along the Viennese winter in 2011. Now, each time I smell this, all I could remember was the chilly crisp and the fresh winter breeze.
This perfume is super fresh! I did the right thing. 🙂
Affordable perfume without cheapy scent. Loveable.

Interesting, delicate, maybe a little bit ‘herbal-pharmaceutical’ but not in a disturbing way. I can’t think of any similar perfumes at the moment. Unfortunately not very long-lasting.
