This is sugar-sweet and powdery. I also smell a smooth almond extract here. The only problem is that I have to hold my wrist up to my face to detect anything. I would love this if it was stronger, but it’s a barely-there scent.Nice-smelling,but too soft.

Does actual sugar cane smell like almond? If so, Demeter’s done a great job. If not, this perfume is way, way off the mark.
Demeter’s Sugar Cane is sweet and surprisingly heavy on the almond, with a touch of green that keeps it from smelling entirely like baked goods. Even so, I can’t help being reminded of pound cake batter when I wear this (my recipe uses both almond and vanilla). Seriously, if a pound cake could smell cool and green instead of warm and golden-brown, it’d be a dead ringer for Demeter’s Sugar Cane.
