I’m not getting an outstanding suede note. It is musky. This LE flanker’s white florals are forefront but more muted out by musk in a way.
The main note that sets this apart from the original (discontinued) Michael edp and Michael Kors edp (current or original) is champaca. Then there’s that muskiness that sticks around too. Frangipani adds a nice subtle & sweet floral touch and keeps it exotic. Suede is quite a bit tamed down with projection compared to the other 2 MK & Michael edps but is no skin scent either.
I prefefer this over MK edp but nothing beats the htf vintage Michael edp in my book. I got more of a suede impression from the vintage Michael compared to this.
Maybe I would enjoy this more if champaca did not cause me headaches. Despite that, I feel this is well worth looking into but I don’t get a huge suede impression that I was expecting out of this limited edition.

For me it is the total feminine , sensual , woman scent! All the ingredients are mixed perfectly.Warm , without having vanilla , which is very sweet for me. When you wear it , you feel secure and confident.Wearing it you can never be unnoticed!

This is a beautiful and creamy floral.
This is Michael, the original, minus the pickles and incense, plus loads of frangipani and some creamy gardenia petals.
Water lily keeps it a tad fresh, but it’s barely there. This is a creamy floral, for sure, where Michael ~ albeit strong and thick ~ was not.
There’s something velvet- or suede-like about this, but it doesn’t have a leather note.
Scent: A+
Sillage: 7/10
Longevity: excellent ~ after a while, it stays close, but is still very very much there.

Suede is Michael with the edges smoothed out. I prefer it. Fans of the original will love it. It’s worth seeking one of these out before they are all gone.

I bought this online because of the notes and I just got it today. It was nothing like I imagine. It’s better, it is so delicious with that frangipani (just the right amount) and the cashmere woods (again, just the right amount), plus the main notes which I already love like gardenia and tuberose. Last thing,…if you like white florals you are going to love this. Sillage is good, longevity, I don’t know yet, I was so excited when I smelled it I did not even wait to write a review. We’ll see… It lasted for like 2 hours at the most, sillage is about arm length.

I enjoy stronger scents that are kind of creamy and dirty…and this fits that bill to a tee. I get a burst of tuberose, creamy gardenia and a faint citrus bit that is grounded in a nice musky base. The projection of this juice is grand and lasts really well. So far this is the only MK frag I have admired enough to decide to keep in my collection rotation.

Michael Kor’s fragrances always smell like a vintage throwback on me. This was very heady and made me dizzy when I tested it. The dry down wasn’t great either.

i usually love white florals but theres just something about this that i dont like at all! i find that its quiet sickening and nauseating even though i thought i was going to love this perfume!

I have this & I’m a male…. A guy can wear this if some liked the original but didn’t like the floralness…. It has that classic gardenia/tuberose smell but is calmer & surrounded by woods & leathery notes… So it’s unisex.. But I’m a rebel….
This would smell quite sensual on a guy & lovely on a woman

i bought this fragrance for my personal use and i’m a male it’s about your conviction. If it suits you, then buy it why not. main reason i bought this perfume because it reminds me of a woman i met somewhere 🙂

Anyone think this is a unisex frag? i.e. can I, a male, pull this off? (I’m looking for a masculine version of the original Michael by Michael Kors, and was pointed to this one).
Many Thanks!

I fell inlove with this perfume this weekend.

I too like this one more than Michael. For some odd reason I’ve always wanted to wear Michael but found it too loud on tuberose. Suede does have that tuberose note but tamed. Also, the dry down on this is amazing! Clean, pretty and soft.

I like this one much better than regular Michael Kors which is a disaster on me. This one has that woody undertone which makes it smooth and almost creamy. There are most certainly floral notes here as well but somehow they seem more balanced and not so loud and screechy. I can see why this is called “Suede” because it really does smell like suede. The lasting power is quite amazing as well. Two thumbs up here!

Love love this! Wonderful new Spring/Summer scent.I had a sample of this in a magazine and HAD TO HAVE IT. Feminine, clean, and fresh. The review by poiverose does this scent justice and more! Gardenia is noticable, with powder, and cashmere wood.

At first it’s a heady, creamy, slightly sweet floral. Champaca and gardenia mostly. Satiny, feminine, and sophistacated. The floral essenses smell very realistic. The blooms are very warm somehow, as if they have been resting in the sunlight. The smooth soft woods emerge prominently as it wears on as well as a hint of a powdery essense. At this point I do get the reference to suede – it is soft. The mixture of sandalwood and cashmere wood is very lovely.
I don’t feel like it is completely original, however, but it is nice. It reminds me slightly of Cashmere Mist, only less powder – stronger florals. It is pleasant and inoffensive for those who enjoy white florals and sweet woods. Sillage is good, becomes closer to the skin as it wears on. I suspect it could become stifling if used with a heavy hand though. Lasting power satisfactory. If you like gardenia and cashmere wood I’d say you should give this a try.
