Unexpected surprise, classy chypre with powdery and sophisticated notes from woody floral mix. Lasting and elegant, balanced composition, great for evening in the opera or as a signature of some classy lady. I liked it, great blind pick.

I was gifted a large decant of this (thank you so much to the beautiful Yohji), and I’m very enamoured with this lovely perfume. It was love at first sniff for me.
This is a really lovely fruity, floral chypre fragrance. I am getting shades of early autumn/fall as this is a warm, woody fragrance held together with top notes of sweet fruits, middle notes of summer flowers and the base is the sweet woody tones of fall.
The quality and the style have impressed me, this is such a comforting and elegant perfume, a beautiful, vintage, classic and I will have this in my collection to treasure. I think that if you love Chypre florals, then this stunning little juice is a must to try.

Most underrated floral-woody chypre, so nicely done, smooth, attractive, addictive. Constantly sniffing my arms, turning around just to create new wave of Strass.
Most prominent note here is amber and benzoin, which gives luxury-feel from the first spray, flowery-mandarins, everything seems to be classical and at the same time very unusual, with hint of boozy note
If I had to compare I would choose Sherrer 2 among all, because of deep rich feeling. But in Sherrer its honey and in Strass, as I mentioned before, same “evening” effect gives amber-benzoin.
Its discontinued(

When woody, balsamic, and spicy are listed in the accords, I tend to like that fragrance. I also find that when I “like” a scent straight from the bottle before it dries down, it is going to be very pleasant for me to wear.
The dry down is the important part, but there are usually hints in the initial spritz that I will love or hate what happens next.
I tried Strass for the first time two days ago. And while I’m a believer in “living with” a fragrance for a while before passing final judgment, I really love it. It’s warm, spicy, sophisticated, seamlessly blended, soft, and alluring.
I love how it’s woody and natural with small blossoms of yellow flowers.
I’m a terrible rule breaker when it comes to “evening” or “daytime” fragrances or “summer” vs “winter.” I’m definitely driven by mood and the clothing I am wearing. I tend to match fragrances to my outfits. That may seem strange. But a wool sweater outfit “smells different” to me than a floral blouse or a pair of jeans.
I could wear this anytime. It feels a little dressy, womanly. I am totally intrigued to try more Soprani. I have a few on the way.
I’m perplexed by how inexpensive my bottle of Strass was. How can this cost less than a “celebrity” fragrance that falls flat into a chemical department store mess?

OH my god, I’ve just received this, it’s waking up on me, it’s so smooth , yes buttery, vintage vibe, perfect! It’s starting when I think it has finished, such a slow development, soo classic, I respect this and dearly enjoy and love already!

A very green buttery perfume this is! Goes in the line of Niki de Saint Phalle and Halston Classic!

I have to say I was disappointed. Not with the fragrance which was perfect but with the fact that it did not last at all and was very faint to begin with. Reviews have said this is a “subtle” fragrance but that is an understatement! Sad.

Strass is really great but on my skin keeps near 30 min only, pity. I am writing about EDT.

It is rather dark, very heavy, but still sexy smell. It last so long and chypre keep you feeling it all the time. For those people, who doesn’t have migranes from perfume it is good and evening time perfume.
