Not going to lie I didn’t really care for this but with that said I didn’t hate it either. I was surprised that this came out in 2009 because it smells like something I would have smelled in the late 80s or early 90s.
To describe the smell it’s a sharp, cheap smelling, synthetic sporty smelling that to me smells like a sharp violet floral. Scents that this remind me of are navy for men, polo sport and the original Stetson but only a little. The opening of this is pretty off putting but once it dries down it does get slightly better.
Performance was average as it lasts 2-4 hours with minimal projection.
Overall rating— 6 out of 10 ! It’s only an ok smell but for the price I can’t complain. Even though o didn’t like it I can see why some people do.

    Touchdown!
Stetson is known as a cheapie but goodie and it delivers another winner with this cologne. The name All American is a bit too on the nose and with the American flag themed packaging and the blue bottle, plus the face for the cologne is model and NFL Patriots athlete Tom Brady. But it sells right? This is a youthful fragrance, not mature despite the fact that this has a lot of the notes in the dry down/base notes which would have worn like a more confident mature scent (i.e. patchouli, vetiver, musk, amber). This is still a young man’s cologne. This would suit a young high school Varsity football player, adolescent, 18. This cologne is affordable and probably not going to be to everyone’s tastes but it is really much more masculine than the powdery Stetson Original.
At the first spritz, a light and passing sweet guava fruit note is there. It reminds me of guava flavored Kerns drinks. Then it turns spicy with cardamom ginger nutmeg and sage. This is spicy but not in an exotic or heavy way. It’s sweet AND spicy. The sage bush is aromatic and green, like the sage I like in other colognes. The green note of herbal patchouli matches up with the sage. This is a very nice green scent. Vetiver and fern add to the greenery. This goes from spicy to green but it’s not floral so it depends on the suede and leather musk to give it a decidedly masculine body.
The suede and musk is what makes it stand out. It is not anything to go nuts about but it’s a good musky dry down. The leather note is very well done. So despite the cheap price this is not a cheap cologne. This is also coming off as both US and UK! Despite the football theme, it smells of a rugby player! This is a sports cologne for jocks who want to smell good after the game when they are with their girl or among friends. It is clean and green, spicy and musky, nothing about it is powdery or overly sweet. It’s subtle and could have better projection and doesn’t last too long but it’s not bad. It has a modern appeal. Every time I wear it I get compliments. Girls love this cologne on guys but I wonder how much Tom Brady has to do with that. PS I doubt Brady wears this.

I happened to take a whiff of this cologne on a guy friend of mine in Miami at my Super Bowl Party. I asked him what he was wearing he simply replied Tom Brady’s cologne. I looked it up and voila this is it. Brady modeled for this cologne but I’m not sure if he wears it himself. This smells very nice! It’s not very masculine, mature, sophisticated or as musky as other men’s colognes. There is a nice touch of suede which takes over at the end. I smelled a lot of different scents: guava, ginger, spices, sage. Overall it’s spicy and fresh, slightly musk and sweet. This is day wear stuff, easy on the nose, and very casual. It’s suited to young guys teenagers and in their early 20’s. Not bad. I did like it and smells great on a guy.

So what if Tom Brady is compromised these days? His honorary fragrance needn’t be. This came up when I was searching for an affordable vetiver, and I also thought the bottle was appealing compared to the rest of the Stetson line. I would say it’s inoffensive, warm and sexy. It’s softer than Lanvin L’homme sport, but not as floral as Burberry Brit. There’s a little citrus tang that keeps it masculine. The only problem is it doesn’t last long. So, feel free to drench yourself.

When I bought this cologne online it was a blind buy and didnt see all the negetive feedback on this. After receiving it today i was afraid that it was a waste of my $10 for a 1oz bottle. Once i Received it I sprayed it right away. It is really harsh on impact then after 10 seconds the real fragrance appears. I dont get the Guava scent but man was I surprised, this is a great fragrance. The only thing i regret is not getting the bigger bottle. I give it a 8 out of 10. This reminds me of a mixure of Cool Water meets Polo Sport. The dry down is where the heart of the fragrance is. I will be trying it out this weekend, i will try to update this post with feedbacks and complements. I would recomend this to anyone. Great for a day to go shopping or just relaxing with some friends. i will try it at night to see how the summer night reflect on my skin. Great pick up. A+++ for its age… Great job Stetson..

Harry Fremont is a genius at finding ways to be innovative on a tight budget, Stetson All American is yet another showcase of his exceptional skill and ability to find balance from very divergent notes that under the wrong guidance could easily have gone astray. Instead we have one of the best budget drugstore releases of the last twenty years and though largely overlooked by a somewhat misguided marketing campaign and short sighted decision to call this All American instead of going more global and targeting markets like Brazil, Colombia and El Salvador where the guava, musk and spice would have been very welcomed by the masses, instead the fragrance was seen being dumped at discounters across the United States within a year of release.
Sometimes the advertising department blowhards can truly fall face first in the mud, this is one of those cases. Getting Tom Brady to be the face and then going after middle America’s football watching weekenders men who generally still wear Cool Water, Acqua Di Gio and anything with the Polo logo on it just didn’t strike a chord with that limited audience and killed any hope of Stetson going forward with the ambitious concept of reinventing themselves as relevant to anyone born after the 1980s.
The juice here is nice, very well blended, very soft yet present. It smells nothing like its low MSRP, there is a refined class and charm to this you just don’t come across that often for a budget line release. The guava and ginger is vibrant, fresh, uplifting and organic. The suede is there from the onset but doesn’t dominate or puncture the sinuses, there’s a subtleness to it that goes nicely with the nutmeg and fern while allowing the guava and musk to stretch out.
Composition is finely done here, this is subtle to the wearer yet projects rather well with only a couple of sprays. It has aquatic elements here but it’s mostly musky spicy aromatics with a touch of tropical Caribbean. By leaps and bounds Stetson’s finest release, though Stetson Black also is impressive if used in moderation. The wear is rather linear after the ginger flickers to the background and the suede and musk take over with the spices and guava but despite that it’s a nice and attractive enough scent to pull out in the spring and on summer evenings. Will get you compliments if you need those sort of things, but more importantly it adds a nice touch of variety to your wardrobe at bargain basement prices. If you like musk and tropical accords, this one is for you.

I miss this so much! I got this months after it’s release in Target I believe and I fell in love with it. Unfortunately it was quite a small bottle and used it up very fast when I got back into my fragrance obsession (no pun intended). It had a very dreamy effect on me. Partly because it reminds me of this aroma therapy spray that my mom would spray my pillows and bedsheets with when I was about 4 when I couldn’t sleep. Not only do I like the cobalt blue bottle, but I love cobalt blue and think it matches the scent perfectly. I want to get some of this again.

It’s a soft yet masculine fragrance. On my skin it smells like a more subtle version of Antidote by Viktor & Rolf. In terms of longetivy, though, it might as well be a body splash for men, because it doesn’t make it through an hour and a half.

    I really like this scent.
It has that Michel Germaine’s Sexual dirty melon smell to it.
It is inexpensive and can be had at so many places like drug stores or ebay.

I didnt like this scent from Stetson,it kind of reminds me of Kicks by Curve, another one I dont like.I much perfer the original Stetson or even Stetson Black to this All American Fragrance.I didnt really pick up the vetiver or even the musk, all I could smell is the ginger it opend with and then the fruitiness of the guava.

A very different, modern Stetson that is quite well-done. I had my doubts about anything bearing that name (an old ex wore Stetson and though I love chypre scents, I cannot disassociate the scent from his memory)…
On first spray the ginger is soo nice and the addition of smooth, mildly fruity guava is absolutely delish. The opening is a tad alcohol-y but it evaporates before you even realise it might bother you. The water ferns in this remind me of the scent of the woodland pond where we used to play as kids. The sage and nutmeg keep the spicy thing going, but tone it down from sweet/warm to smooth and herby. The suede here is not as prevalaent as that in Rich Suede, but is very nice and adds to the overall smoothness. The base of this is sexy and very earthy. So many mens scent use VAMP (vetiver, amber, musk and patchouli)but here it is tolerable, even pleasant. This is probably the ‘best’ smelling scent in the Stetson line, due to the fact it is so very modern; and I agree with PieRat that it smells like it costs more than it does…
    Sillage: okay
    Longevity: good
    Overall: 3.75/5
I bought (tentatively) a 1/2 ounce bottle to try it, and as soon as this is done, I will be getting a larger size. It is a good scent for wearing with ‘the guys’, to a family gathering or work; but it is sexy and smooth enough to wear on a date (applied a little heavier). Do not judge this juice by the House name or the Line it flanks, you would be missing out on a pretty good cologne…

Wow. I think Stetson did a very good job with this scent. Very clean and fresh. Perfect for the summer. To me smells more expensive then it cost.
