I could imagine this being sold by a niche company these days! It might have a bit more of a rum note or more spices, but otherwise, this has a “high quality” feel to it. And the vanilla isn’t to obvious, as is so often the case these days. The musk doesn’t have that piercing quality that some white musks do either. I prefer scents with stronger spice than this, an example being LP by Penhaligon’s LP No. 9 Men or even Night Time, but this one works for when I want a smoother blend. The bay and sage may impart a bit of an odd quality, but it also makes it more complex; personal preference will come into play there. One of Avon’s best releases in the last 25 years or so.
