Sportclub is a superb and very inexpensive clone of Eau de Guerlain in a very light EdC concentration. I don’t have a bottle of EdG to hand to compare, but I’m pretty sure Sportclub is slightly less deep and complex, but the longevity is comparable if you splash enough out of the bottle to make up for the weak concentration.
I don’t get overwhelming aldehydes or anything. Also more floral than fruity (peach, apple?), definitely get ylang and carnation. Then again, EdG lists fruity notes, so there you go. Regardless I don’t get much (other than lots of citrus). There’s a distinct and excellent indole accord that must be the jasmine as well.
The famous musky base of EdG is here, too, though with a bit less heft – not necessarily a bad thing, as EdG can become suffocating if overapplied. So, this is a bit like an EdC concentration of Eau de Guerlain that can be had for pennies on the dollar. Certainly not original, but a great value. Worth it!

Tested over the last few days. It’s a pleasant, old-fashioned cologne. Predominant notes for me are oakmoss (which is more apparent at the start) and the spiciness of carnation. For my personal taste I would have preferred more oakmoss and less spiciness. Sillage and longevity are good, considering this is a cologne, rather than an EDT/EDP. I’m not used to fragrances without an atomiser, so I struggled a bit with the open-necked bottle, but I can get round that by decanting into a spray bottle. Good value for money.
