Description

SpellBound, the oriental fragrance with floral notes, was launched in 1991. It is passionate, thanks to delicate, slightly spicy heart of the composition: orange blossom, daffodil, carnation, cardamom. In the top notes there are rose, citrus and apricot. The base is made of sandalwood, vetiver, vanilla and amber. The nose behind this fragrance is Sophia Grojsman.

When does the civet make its entrance? I was overwhelmed with the carnation/clove note at beginning and nine hours later, it has evolved into a still strong, close to skin floral scent; still holding my attention. I so much prefer what developed after the carnation, the fruits and flowers. I’ll wear this vintage in the coming months but no more than two or three spritz.

An exquisite beauty. It’s got it all, concentration, longevity, projection. A powerful spicy, sweet beauty. They do not make them with this high quality and thought much any more. I’m rediscovering it now and I think it’ll be perfect to take into fall and winter but I also like it right now , it’s quite warm. I highly recommend a try no matter what your age.

I wore this in my early 20s, probably too sophisticated for me back then. There is definitely nothing else like it, to me it’s totally unique. Very strong and spicy, a little goes a long way and lasts forever.

This was the first fragrance I fell in love with when I was 15 years old. Everyone tried to get me to go with juicy or guess but that’s just not me. I love, love ,love this fragrance soooooo much!!! All winter long I want to bathe in this and smell it constantly! It’s been 20 years and I’m still madly in love with this perfume! It’s my all time fave forever and ever…

It was and is my favorite perfume, I still have the smallest frop that has not turned by miracle and it is as prodigious as remembered.Longevity of 12 hours with huge sillage for 3/4 hours. BTW, have Rapture and, on my skin, it does not have an iota of similarity to Spellbound.diamons and Rubies at least, although not similar has a vibe of Spellbound in its spicy floweriness (carnation/apricot for Spellbound, rose/peach for D&R).Probably a variation for Sophia Grojsman’s formula for Spellbound.

    Dear mshilov ….
Please ignore my list of favourite or hated fragrances picture list : it’s mostly incorrect as I’ve no computer knowledge at all. ( Computers were almost fridge freezer sized with punch cards when I was a kid at school hence my inability to even cut and paste) moving the fragrances around seems to just get them all on wrong shelves etc
I will try to work it out especially as it’s so nice to know someone takes time to read reviews or look at what I like !
I’ll try to work out how to change shelve images I bet it’s easy really ! Thanks for saying that it makes no sense and I’ll try to fix it asap.
By way Estée Lauder spellbound is quite magical , even if nowadays I prefer newer discovered fragrances like Chanel no 5 and 19 , I still remember spellbound as beautiful ! In fact I may get another vintage to test !
    Kindest regards
    Camden girl 🙂

This is absolutely gorgeous, this is one of my favorite scents ever. A beautiful strong fragrance, all it take is 4 sprays, and it last FOREVER, on my clothes. My bottle is from the early 1990s. Nothing too do with the current version. For those who say that they, can’t tell a difference between the vintage and current lol must be nose blind because, there’s a huge difference from the smell and lack of staying power. I tried the current at Macys it smelt awful. I’ll always stick with the vintage formula. Just gorgeous. (Masterpiece)

Wow, what a beautiful scent! I tried it today for the 3rd time and I decided I WANT IT!
First spray is mainly fruits, spices and woods and as it dries down the amber, tuberose, carnation and apricot appears gradually, yet I can`t get any cardamom on me! Drydown is mainly floral and woods, 2-3 hours into wearing it is the time when it turns into a very sexy close to skin scent. It`s the kind of scent that is initially too spicy, but yet you won`t think it`s dated or `grandma` – it`s more like a boozy apricot drink brewed with spices and some woody notes floating above it all.
I like Estée and Very Estée also which are aldehydic, but this one hits the right chords with me, it`s warm, fuzzy, apricot-flowery and not heavy! Love!

Before I tried Spellbound today, I thought no perfume ever can smell similar to my beloved Tresor, but here we go! The two are practically identical to me, with Spellbound perhaps being a little lighter and more floral. Sadly it doesn’t stay on my skin for anywhere as long as Tresor does.

My God I love the smell of Spellbound so much, It’s a shame that perfumes aren’t made anything like this anymore. Beautiful is my signature, Yet, this I would say is somewhat a signature also. Just beautiful in every possible way. If a perfume company created a perfume that would smell like this I would definitely purchase it. Perfection in a bottle. (Vintage only) not current!!

Beauty in a bottle. Extremely strong. I have a sample bottle, so my application was a dab. I cannot imagine spraying this as those little dabs transferred to my shirt, and waft around me with movement. It’s golden, but not sunny bright golden. Instead, dark deep resinous golden, if that makes sense. Warm, spicy, ultra feminine, clean. This fragrance is either perfection to those who have a deep love for thick powerhouse perfumes of the 80s and nineties, or an instant migraine to those who do not! That said, I don’t think it’s outdated. Smells extremely similar to red door.
Edit- I Just Bought This. Bummed, I Get A Pretty Strong Grape Soda Vibe. May Return It.

It’s all carnations on me. No civet. I’ll wear it in cooler weather because the formulation in this pre-rectangular design bottle is very potent. My favorite EsteeLauder is All of them, but I reach for Azuree most often.

Everything in the House of Lauder has been reformulated (seemingly) to the point of no return. All the unique bottles are gone and have cookie-cutter housing. They’re called “eau de parfum”, but they only last around 3 hours. The reviews on the EL web site are very telling.

This smells very Grosjman, a sibling of Eternity and Volupte and Sun Moon Stars, all brilliant. Back in the 90s I received a gift set of Spellbound, and I knew I’d never wear it but it was intriguing. Today, I was in a department store and I made it a point to sample. It is still recognizably Spellbound, but it has definitely been reformulated, modernized. It isn’t as rich and hefty, yet somehow though lighter it is hugely radiant, which I suppose is some perfumery sleight of hand to distract us from the fact that it has lost something vital and saturated and 3-dimensional. This could be my imagination – it’s been a long time, and now that I think of it I had a parfum of this. Those who can compare vintage vs new will need to weigh in. I like it very much, actually, and I can’t stop sniffing my arm, but I might feel self conscious wearing it. Maybe only occasionally. And I think the old one was better. But this is nice. Bath & body line would be my thing in this fragrance (alas, there is none). Radiant, spicy woodsy floral, and powdery. Yum yum.
Adding: Sniffed my arm all night until it faded away. I have to admit I’m smitten. ♡
October 27, 2018: I tried it again today (and Beautiful Belle on the other arm – meh). This smells so good to me. I fell asleep on the couch while reading and when I was surfacing to consciousness I smelled this incredible, indescribable, sweet-spicy perfume like from a Kublai Khan dream. It was Spellbound, long dried down and weaving a magic spell on me. I must have this one. It’s settled.

The guest’s was mine while… offline;)
SpellBound…I have the new one, bought at Estee Lauder and I wouldn’t say there was any reformulation. I don’t feel the difference. Still the powerful fragrance as it used to be. Only the bottle from the 90’s was prettier. Why do you think it was reformulated?

@camden-girl, your review says you love Spellbound, but it’s in your ‘dislike’ list at the same time – how it can happen? Weird! The only explanation is that Spellbound fans are as controversial as this scent is: can be sexy and flirting, can be a femme fatale statement, and can be even good for the informal office ambience if used moderately, with some nice pencil skirt and a tailored jacket or cashmere turtleneck. I wish I had such a colleague in my office (but she should have kept her perfume at home, not in her bag!)

I had the original Spellbound, pictured above and it was gery potent. One spray was more than enough. Though I liked it, due to its sheer strength, I wore it very little and so ennded up selling it.
This weekend I had been wearing the new formulation, new bottle. It is the same scent but less potent, and thus I feel perhaps more wearable.
I like this scent in the winter, for evening.

I initially was wearing Beautiful edp today but while I was laying in bed last night I was dying too put some Spellbound on so about 30 mins ago I went through my purse where I have a vintage 1991 version of this in pure Parfum and I put some on my wrist and I can’t believe how much I love this it’s magical and majestic. I’m trying this out as one of my Signature scents. Beautiful spicy floral.

Edit: My new Obsession! I can’t fathom how I went all these years without Spellbound in my collection I am obsessed with this. The staying power is incredible silage is soft, I’m in love. I have so many favorites by Lauder Dazzling Silver, Beautiful, Cinnabar and now Spellbound.

What an unexpected scent. So this is really weird on me…I was expecting something damper and earthier like Magie Noir perhaps. This is reminiscent of the original Poison and some kind of grape soda concoction. There’s an underlying ” evil flower” scent…a dark secret bloom that might be intoxicating or just plain poisonous. I’m not sure what daffodil smells like, I usually don’t like carnation but I don’t detect it at all. Its certainly not unpleasant and I will be trying it again. As of now my persona isn’t fitting this perfume. But I’m sure for some, its perfect.

I have a mini of this and wear it like an extrait – one drop on each wrist, gently spread to elbow creases and decolleté. That’s enough to make an impact and appreciate its spicy start, floral heart and vanillic drydown. I can’t imagine spraying this – it would knock birds out of the sky for miles around. Lasts 10-12 hours. Beautifully balanced, just don’t wear much of it.

When I bought a bottle of this fragrance many years ago, I thought that the vintage one it most reminded me of was Coty’s L’Origan. It still does, and needs to be worn very sparingly, as many of your reviewers suggest. While L’Origan was a huge success for Coty many decades ago, and is still available, although perhaps in not as fine a form as it once was, Spellbound doesn’t seem to have had the same outcome for Estee Lauder. Still …..

I have a vintage small mini of the pure parfum. I have had this one for a long time, but just tried it again today. It is a really gorgeous scent. Nothing dated or old fashioned about it. I feel like Spellbound could hold it own against any niche or exclusifs offering from any big name designer. I think Estee Lauder is a vastly underrated perfume house, they consistently make high quality gorgeous perfumes, and have pretty much since the beginning, but Chanel gets all the attention.
Warm, spicy, powerful but not overpowering, definitely smell the carnation, and then the sandalwood and amber. Very long lasting, I only used a small drop and it lasted 6+ hours.

have the pure perfume vintage, small bottle.
Carnation + me broke up the marriage since a year, so I havee to try this again in ( near?) future. It’s VERY potent, and good preserved.

I purchased a package of minis and samples at a thrift store and one of the minis was vintage Spellbound. At first I ignored this one I’m not a big fan of warm, heavy, spicy perfumes. A few months later I was looking for a perfume to wear during the Christmas holidays and thought I’d give Spellbound a chance. Just WOW. From the moment it touched my skin I was enchanted–ripe sweet apricots, warm spices, a touch of vanilla and sandalwood to give it sweetness…I was hooked. Being a classic early 90’s powerhouse perfume, it only took a small amount to surround me in a cloud of beauty that lasted for hours. I don’t know that this is a perfume I’d want to wear daily or even on a regular basis, but this is now my go-to perfume for the holidays and will be until my mini is gone.

Once again, I have to disagree with Luca Turin. I believe he gave Spellbound a fairly dismissive review and I cannot understand why. I was lucky enough to be able to test this today and, my first thought was, “This is a cinnamon Tresor!” Looking on Fragrantica, of course, it was composed by the superb Sophia Grojsman. I tend to like almost everything she ever created.
Spellbound is peach heavy but warmed with spices. It’s almost reminiscent of mulling wine on the stove. Warm but with a breeze the carries the fragrance and keeps it from being dowdy or stale. I’m assuming it’s the combo of hyacinth, oakmoss and LOTV that keeps this an alive perfume. The best descriptor I can come up with to describe this is “full.” It is not alcoholic, thin, or screechy.
Love, love, love!!! I was only able to sample the reformulated version from the Estée Lauder counter in those dreadful new bottles. The bottles are the height of tackiness, in my opinion, but the scent inside is a treasure. I only spritzed a delicate amount on my arm, so I can’t comment on longevity or projection as I applied much less than I would usually wear.

Spellbound Eau De Parfum Black Box Spray Bottle
Sophia Grojsman was in a witchy Dior Poison mood when she formulated this fragrance. Spellbound, to my knowledge, has not been compared to Poison but it has a similar effect. A fragrance for a Gemini woman who has two faces one is innocent and demure, seemingly good-hearted but in the end she is a witch and up to no good. It is pleasant, initially, but it has a bitter under taste. This is for those of us who like our big loud sorceress perfume like Lancôme Magie Noire. This is for Lisle the enchantress who can never age in the movie Death Becomes Her played by Isabella Rossellini.
Starts off sweet and fruity, not in the candy or bubblegum sort of way, but like a Christmas fruitcake and like such fruitcakes as gifts from our aunts or grandmothers, we don’t always care for it. The Christmas connection is there in it’s profusion of cloves, spices, resins, cinnamon, honey and fruit, plus flowers. It’s like a fragrant Christmas wreath that you hang on your door or wall. As such, it does come off as an Oriental, but there is a vulgarity to it, like the laughter of a witch as she casts her spell over her hapless victim! The civet and musk bite provides this effect, and the heavy dry base notes which would put any of today’s junk perfumes to shame.
There’s amber, sandalwood, incense, precious woods, supporting a heart of honeyed flowers of carnation, rose, tuberose, jasmine and heliotrope. There’s a sprinkle, a dash, of gourmand notes – honey, vanilla, and a hell of a lot of cloves. The clove matches up with carnation and the citrusy notes of orange blossom and apricot nectar. This is quite nectary and juicy. But I wouldn’t drink it!
This perfume has staying power and lasts for hours in fact through the next day and the next. I wish this could be tamed and subtle so I can douse myself in it but as it’s quite a powerful potion I can only spray one time over my favorite spot – my neck. This leaves behind a trail of orange blossom, honey, rose, amber, clove and sandalwood.
SpellBound is spicy and opulent, and it is very much a vintage though it smells more of the 70’s or 80’s than the 90’s. The fruity top note is consistent with the fruity openings of such 90’s perfumes as Chloe Narcisse and perhaps even Victoria Secret Rapture. But while those fragrances tend to become powdery and are wearable as delicate subtle feminine scents, this is one is a showy, flamboyant, extravagant creature. SpellBound can also be compared to Red Door by Elizabeth Arden but again even that one is more subtle. This is a perfume that has a lot going on so it’s hard to pull off by younger women today. I am glad that I am the age I am so that I can wear these masterpieces of perfumery.
When I am wearing this perfume, and when I see those letters in big print ‘SPELLBOUND’ it’s like reading a 1980’s fiction, the performance of this perfume is a novel. Or the film adaptation starring Sigourney Weaver! It tells of a betrayed wife, who is set to lose everything in the divorce because she does not come from money and who gets her hands on a revenge potion, this perfume. One spritz and she is transformed into a younger and more attractive woman. She fools around with many handsome studs for a period of time before she realizes that all she wants is her old husband back. So now through the power of illusion and enchantment, looking like an entirely different woman, she seduces her ex-husband gets him to marry her, without ever telling him she is the ex.
For practical purposes, this is a fragrance to be worn in the November through December months as the holidays begin. It is very wintery and definitely a great holiday party perfume, nocturnal, formal, matches up with black evening dresses and gowns. This is cloying and aggressive but it is best to spritz one time so that the beast is on a leash and doesn’t attack anyone around you. A beautiful unusual fruity floral, an exotic spicy Oriental wicked witch potion. The price for this Estee Lauder perfume is good though on Amazon.com it is selling for over 100 bucks which is beyond me. Unfortunately it is a perfume that does not have as big a fan base as Beautiful bye Estee Lauder. Beautiful is a well-behaved and lady-like “good girl” princess perfume. If Beautiful is the fairy tale princess, SpellBound is the wicked witch. But let’s face it. We all have a witch inside of us and wearing perfume like this lets that inner witch out once in a while. Love this fragrance.

Having not wore this scent since the early 1990s , I gave it a generous testing in Boots the other day. WOW!! This is a SILAGE MONSTER !!! My main gripe with modern scents is the terrible quality , so many I will test and although I like the scent ,it is gone after ten mins. …………….. None of those problems with this heavy hitter vintage gem !
I simply must own this as my next purchase. So glad I randomly tested it as I couldnt remember much about it from my former wearings all those years ago, except that i liked it.
This is so sweet in a classy floral way, not a synthetic candy way.The notes that stand out to me ( this is prior to checking if they are actual listed notes) are carnation , a heavy STRONG CARNATION on me which I love , violet , white musk , a powdery iris , a touch of somnething carnaly dirty …… Some soft sweet spices , maybe cinnamon ?
The overall affect is a beautifully scent that is complex , and hard to define. It changes on my skin between sweet/spice/floral/musky. Just amazing .
The silage and longlevity are off the scale.
In a sea of modern EDPs thathave little more strength than a toilet water , the quality of this is just perfect !!
Im thinking this would make a lovley gift for a lady of any age , but it would be especially perfect for a young lady who loves sweet and loud scent , and is looking for something that one doesnt smell on every other person.
A forgotten gem …So happy they sre still making this.

Spellbound either works with you or it doesn’t. I have been wearing it for years (since my 30’s) and always get stopped, especially by men asking me what I’m wearing. I take breaks from it, especially during hot summer months and find myself missing it. I have never found an alternative I like better.
It is spicey, sweet, exotic, woodsy, but more complex than your typical oriental scent.

I have such a hard time with Grojsman scents 🙁 I thought that the skanky spicy Grojsman might be the one for me. Well… at least it doesn’t have that barfy melon note Vulupte has. This does slightly resemble VS Rapture which I love but I’m having a rough time with that signature sickly sweet syrupy peach. The silage is massive, the spice and skank are very much present. Time will tell if this will work out for me or not.

Beautiful heavenly perfume! I absolutely absolutely adore it. It’s the most gorgeous vanilla, which is the most prevalent note for me, with glorious rose, lily of the valley, cardamom, amber, sandalwood, apricot, carnation and orange blossom, all blended in such a perfect way as to make me swoon all the day long! It’s divine!! So rich and strong, incredibly long lasting, soothing and comforting, very sensual and alluring, extremely feminine, and totally intoxicating!!! So beautifully spicy and exotic. So so so gorgeous. I douse myself in it! I love it so much!
And for me, the new bottle is magical! SO much more beautiful than the old one, and suits the gem that it contains, to a tee. It is elegant and feminine, and classy and sensual, pure, pristine and gracious. I love it.
Spellbound……well, I certainly do feel that a magic spell has been cast on me when I’m wearing it, and even when I’m not!! – because I can’t stop remembering the divine smell of it! It is a truly TRULY magical perfume!!!!!

Spellbound, I am! This is such an elegant, high-quality perfume. Beautifully rich and strong and lasts for more than 24 hours on me, hardly losing any strength at all. It’s amazing. It’s such a lovely spicy floral, with a fantastic smooth creamy undertone. Very sophisticated. Completely captivating, sensual and alluring. Wow! The quality! It’s unbelievable! Utterly bewitching!
I completely adore it. I fell instantly in love with it, and can’t bear the thought of not wearing it! I never want to be without it. It’s a glorious perfume!!!

I’m In Love!!!!! I’m completely SPELLBOUND!!! It’s absolutely wonderful!! Such gorgeous carnation, cardamom, rose, lily of the valley, apricot, orange blossom all blended so well with the gorgeous sandalwood, vanilla and amber!! So lush, so creamy and sweet!!! So sensual! Oh it’s gorgeous!!
I have the latest bottle, which I love – I love it so much more than the old one (which I’ve only seen pictures of mind you) – it’s so elegant and refined, so pure-looking, and so lovely to hold. I love the rounded edges, and the lovely grooves in the glass, and the beautiful cap! It’s gorgeous!
It’s such a rich, smooth, feminine fragrance! I could bathe in it!!! Truly adorable!!!

This is quite different from everything else I own. It’s like balmy and resinous. Does it actually contain clove or would that be something else that mimics that a bit ?
I’m using vintage style bottle but it doesn’t seem overly heavy to me, maybe it’s lost a little strength over the years ? Do I like it ? ? ?
YES I think I do, I’m taking no notice either that my hubby and my daughter wrinkled up their noses a bit at this fragrance when usually they don’t.
Maybe it hasn’t cast a notable “spell” on them just yet but it has me ! !!
Honeyed syruppy sweetness ,lightly soapy with a kind of spicy yet floral heart.
It kinda reminds me a tiny bit of hot cross buns being toasted but just a perfume version if that makes any sense. It’s refined and glamorous and I’d say for over 30,s . Elegant and well blended !!!
    7outa 10
Edit : WOW this has grown on me more and more , I’m under the influence of this beautiful spell ! What’s weird is usually if a perfume seems a bit dated right off the bat, well, I don’t warm to it , but, boy oh boy this is the nuts ! Out of all top notch 22 fragrances I own ( novice yet), this is one I reach for the most , I need to smell it !!! I need a fix of the spices and warmth!! I don’t wear it out well so far not, I just spray a little on wrist and spend ages sniffing it’s like a drug addict to fragrance. I can’t say even why this has this effect ??
Captivating juice or what ! This is ADDICTIVENESS in a bottle. Mmmmm and that 7 outa 10 , that’s changed to a 9/10

I first tried this bout 20 years ago and loved it as a teen. Along with Calvin Klein Contradiction and The Body Shop Tea Rose, it was one of my signature fragrances, but I recently tried the new formulation and really didn’t like it. Not sure what they’ve changed, but the change hasn’t been for the better. If they relaunched the old formulation with a better designed bottle, I’m sure it would quickly develop a new following!

  44. :

One of my friend had the best description of the current formulation of Spellbound. She said “it’s like sweet cinnamon oatmeal with metal coins it in instead of raisins”. What have they done to the classic Lauder’s?? All of the ones in the new bottles are so far from the originals…

I am really happy that you found someone who will love SpellBound and wear it proudly.I think it is better that you don’t really love it because it is very sad to pine for something you will never get again. SpellBound is such a masterpiece, it got me in orientals and now I love Opium, Coco and Kenzo Jungle L’Elephant. But SpellBound is extraordinary, I wore it for years and years till my supply ran dry and people would stop me on the streets and asked what scent was this. So remarkable, it has tuberose, a note that generally is very bad on my skin, but I don’t feel it, I feel cloves that don’t exist, the cardamon and the spicy carnation with an all day longevity on skin with heavy sillage.

  46. :

    To Socorrosouza:
I gave it to a friend of mine. She has a great personality and facility for wearing orientals. When I first met her a bit over 28 years ago, she was wearing the original Opium and even though I was a novice at appreciating perfumes I could tell that she wore that scent exceptionally well. Within a few years I found my own personal signature scent, which at that time was Lou Lou and a few years later I advanced to Poison. And that is why it pains me not being able to wear Spellbound especially now that I have been wearing a few classic scents of Estée Lauder.

Unfortunately, this is a negative review, although I am not sure whether I am more disappointed with my nose or the perfume.
I have worn 10 scents of Sophia Grojsman’s, among them my all-time favourites of Lalique (my most repurchased, the one I most identify with myself), Calyx, Kashaya (most sorely missed), Tresor, Paris, etc. I adore every one of her creations I have worn.
However, I cannot stand Spellbound. On me it is cloying and just stinky. I cannot even figure out which note would do that.
I do have the same problem with Diorissimo. I adore lily-of-the-valley, and adore this scent version of it, on others. On me, it is a stinking mess.
Intellectually I know Spellbound is a great scent, beautifully built, and its longevity is fantastic. I just can’t wear it. I wish other scents would cling to my skin like this one though. 🙂
I had to give it away.
I am really so envious of those of the other reviewers who enjoy it.

The florals remain all the way through to the Base. This is one of the longest lasting fragrances that I’ve encountered. I can’t be more sorry to read previous reviews about it been discontinued, I must snatch some up before it disappears into the woodwork of the fragrance world.

Tiger, Diamond and Rubies by Elizabeth Taylor has some of the Spellbound vibe, a sophisticated and delicious spicy peach. The perfumer’s nose is Sophia Grojsman and it is very cheap, even in Brazil. I also love Spellbound, but Estee Lauder used IFRA rules to discontinue it.Such a pity, such an unique scent, long lasting with great sillage.People stopped me on the streets to ask what was that incredible smell.

Just incredible – I’ve loved this since it first came out when I was in my early 20’s and I’m 50 in a couple of weeks so it’s a very long love affair, and I’m the most fickle person I know. First of all, the opening clove is a little overpowering but give it a minute and beautiful notes fill your nose with pure heaven. If I were to choose a perfume to wear for this rest of my life, it would be Spellbound. No doubts about it. It’s so different to any other fragrance I’ve ever tried. It’s in the same vein as Beautiful which opens with a tobacco note which then fades to reveal a stunning fragrance. Classic Sophia Grojsman. I adore her creations.
When this first came out I was in my first proper job and there was a sample in Cosmo. I fell in love with it instantly and until I could afford some, I left for work early every day and walked through the perfume hall so I could have a spray. I often went back at lunchtime and again on my way home. I was beside myself when it was discontinued in the UK. A couple of years ago I saw a bottle on a shelf in another perfume hall and I was amazed it was £50 for 100ml. I just wish I’d bought two… I allow myself one spray at a time because this is so precious to me. I saw a similar bottle on Amazon for £200 so could have made a lot of money selling mine but no chance of that!

On YOU it smells like this. On my skin it is divine, sophisticated, exceptionally long lasting, spices and carnations scent in an absolutely WOW perfume. A man followed me on a street fascinated by the scent, it is that kind od perfume, at least on me.

This smells like a carnation doused in cherry cough syrup with a hefty dose of spice thrown on top.

    PERFUME!
    This is a PERFUME y’all!
I remember when I first put my nose to the nozzle. I was casually sauntering by the Estee Lauder section of the perfume department in Nashville a couple of years ago. By that time this fragrance was outdated. But they were selling it and I thought what the hell. The sales lady spritzed it on my wrist. I inhaled and the aroma was amazing!
This perfume opens with citrus, fresh and sweet, perfumy and the orange and lemon scent is joined by apricot and peach. The fruitiness is typical of Sophia Grojsman fruity florals. But this didn’t wear like an ordinary run of the mill fruity floral at all. The fruit settles down and the florals emerge: rose, carnation, l
