I bought this untested on-line with a couple of other fragrances (as an after thought more than anything). I was not expecting much because it was so cheap.
My first impression of the fragrance was not favourable; I found it to be too sweet and sickly, floral more than citrus and, if anything, I would have guessed this to be a woman’s perfume. I dispatched it to the back of my collection immediately; bewildered by Fragrantica’s seemingly misguided description of this confection.
However, after it settled, it gave off a totally different scent; still sweet, the sickliness subsided. Citrus notes overtook any floral ones. The initial intensity was replaced by a more subtle, masculine fragrance.
The description above is, as it turns out, relatively accurate: I suppose that I do get notes of sandalwood, bamboo, citrus and watermelon with a hint of patchouli.
There is nothing negative to say about this fragrance. I like it very much. It is now firmly at the front of my collection.
I recommend Speedlife Man to anyone for any occasion. A truly pleasant surprise.
