I’ve been wearing this 10 mins. Very “Phish concert” circa the mid-1990s. It’s not bad but so far a very literal interpretation of a smudge stick. For intense and masculine patchouli scents, I prefer the complexity of Monsieur.

I bought the ‘heretic’ sample pack from twisted lily.
smudge comes on waaay too patchouli-like. just way too much for my sensitive tastes. it feels a little plastic in parts. in other parts, resiney and herbaceous, but, to be brutally honest, i don’t like it. but, you know, i don’t like most patchouli scents, so, take from that what you will.
it’s a no from me…
EDIT: a few hours in, it gets a little boozy and reminds me of Frederic Malle’s ‘Monsieur’, which I already have.
