First Jo Malone perfume and won’t be the last!!
Some people might say this is generic. But I gotta say this is a beautiful scent. Women of ages 25 to early 30s would appreciate this. Such a light but lovely smell.
I do not detect too much fruitiness in it.
I would characterize the smell as light floral and also powdery. But the drydown is kinda musky with still a hint of powder — not the masculine type of musky but fresh like a raindrop kind of fresh.
Sillage is good enough. On my first day of wearing it, my niece commented on how fragrant I smell, when I was about to approach her.
Love it!!!!! I would definitely recommend this fragrance, especially to people who HATES LOUD perfumes, as well as for those who love floral scents. 10 out of 10, for me.
My fave perfume at the moment, while I’m still looking for another Jo Malone buy.

Out of the whole Blossom line, I like this one and the Nashi Blossom the best. They are both gently florally sweet, nothing so spectacular or unique, or I haven’t smelled before, but they do provide me pleasant, crisp and fresh scents, unlike Sakura Cherry Blossom, Plum Blossom and Osmanthus Blossom. I got instant headache while testing those, because of their overly sweet and heavy floral scents.
Silk Blossom is a light, casual day time fragrance when you have hard time deciding what to wear. It suits for spring and summer. It is “environment friendly” and its quality is still much better than many similar cheaper fragrances from different brands out there. It lasts quite well on me with the same consistency and has good sillage. It is definitely not a must-have fragrance but if you collect Jo Malone’s, you can still enjoy it easily, depends on the mood or occasion.

Blind bought this because I was desperately looking for a silk blossom scent. Albeit it’s a pleasant floral fragrance, it’s not what I’m looking for. The silk blossom goes rather unnoticeable, and instead we get a pretty generic floral perfume with a nice fruity opening. The opening is beautiful and unique in its own term with apricot, bergamot, rose, and a pink blossom note that might just be the unrealistic imitation of silk blossom, but unfortunately doesn’t last longer than a few minutes. It makes a sweet turn from there, giving way to jasmine and heliotrope, and dries down to a fresh, clean, stripped down mossy floral.
If I wasn’t specifically buying this for the silk blossom scent, I’d sound much less disappointed. This IS a nice floral perfume and it’s a pleasant alternative to the countless similar ones on the market, but don’t let the name trick you.
Longevity and sillage are of cologne strength, 2-3 hours if you don’t spray liberally.
