I bought a set with three ID scents in mini bottles of 7,5 ml, to get a beautiful free bag. All three scents are a pleasant surprise, but especially this one! It is the only one of them on which I got spontaneously complimented, my colleague especcially loved the incense smell of it. I bought a 60 ml bottle of all three of the scents within a couple of months.
I just can’t get over how great this scent is! I am totally, head over heels in love with it! Finding gems like these, by accident, can make me so happy:-D! It is the cheapest scent that I ever got complimented on. ID Parfums is really just as good as high end scents. Isabel Derroisné is a daughter company of Yves Rocher, but while I find the scents of Yves Rocher all very middle of the road and not outspoken and special enough, I absolutely adore Siam Flamboyant and Sorrentina by ID Parfums (two of the three mini bottles that I now also own full size, 60 ml).
As the name clearly says, it is an oriental scent. I really love the benzoine Siam, that gave this scent its name. The mandarin orange, orange blossom and frangipani, light the scent up, it makes it a happy fruity fragrance as well, and the vanilla softens it and brings everything together, which makes it sweeter and softer.
It reminds me a little of the original Juicy Couture scent, that is hard to find these days, in The Netherlands.
One of my favourite scents ever is Birmane, which got discontinued. Because my bottle is almost finished, I went searching for a replacement. While searching I smelled Casmir by Chopard, another oriental flowery scent with vanilla, which was way too sharp and way too sweet for my taste. I didn’t even smell the similarity with Birmane, I only noticed almonds, which aren’t even an ingredient of Casmir. But, Casmir did remind me of Siam Flamboyant, that I do love. So now I finally realised that I already have a scent in my closet that is kind of suitable as a replacement of Birmane, but that is unfortunately sweeter, less blended and luxurious and that is Siam Flamboyant! Fortunately it is also less expensive.

Luminous and mysterious. Luminous because of orange notes which are very present, mysterious because of benzoin.
For elegant women.
Very good lasting power.

Am I really the first to review this Gem?!
Such an honour!! 🙂
I know this perfume is not so widely available and therefore quite unique. For that very reason I am also extremely happy to own this fragrance now 🙂
I like the way I can step out of the mainstream crowd out there and wear something ‘different’.
However… it’s not really that different, because the first fragrance that came into my mind when I sprayed this one on and it dried down was Dior’s Hypnotic Poison eau Sensuelle.
I did a wrist to wrist comparison: in the opening they’re not too much alike. They are both creamy & sweet though! But in the dry-down they definitely share a fair dose of similarities!
This one is just as HPeS a lovely & sensual, soft but present fragrance! I adore it!
Longevity: 8+ hours on my skin.
After 6 hours I noticed that it started to smell similar to the dry-down of Kenzo Flower Le Parfum, another favorite of mine.
