Moins connu que le légendaire Shocking mais aussi beau et complètement différent. Un très beau chypré / floral vert.

I was fortunate to have bought myself a bottle of this original iconic fragrance about seven years ago at the (Roja Dove) haute perfumery on the 5th floor of Harrods. he had it in as part of his collection of classic perfumes. from what I can remember the original shocking fragrance was reissued by the chief director of the designer shoe brand called Todd’s for a short period of time and was only exclusive to (Roja Dove) perfumer area. but I don’t think that it is still in production or it is owned by any of the well known cosmetics giant or if you like distributor. the bottle. always reminds me of the thirst fragrance called (Classique) for women by (Jean Paul Gaultier). I think that was quite possibly were he got the inspiration from for that perfume, the bottle is very curvaceous. I also think that these fragrances (Bal a Versile) perfume (Theo fennel) and (Fleurs de Rcaille by Caron) bares a striking similar resemblances to the iconic Schiaparelli shocking fragrance witch is extremely rare to find. it is a very warm but musky oriental fragrance witch on me after half an hour dries down to a powdery smell. very sophisticated fragrances.

I never smelled the legendary shocking but I’m sure they can’t be similar as shocking you isn’t animalic. It’s green, bitter chypre to my nose, and reminds me a bit of Leonard’s Tamango I think. Galbanun is prominent together with hyacinthus. Carnation, rose and ylang ylang appear soon to tame the initial blast of aldehydes and warm the scent. The heart is interesting, although soapy. It has the quality of those good green scents of 70’s The dry down is deep, mossy with a lot of musk and sandalwood. It’s a very sophisticated smell. Long lasting and impressive.
