I worked for VS MANY years ago, and I believe the last time I felt the “right size” to walk into a store was right before my wedding when I was shopping for my trousseau.
I honestly had no idea VS had invested so heavily in fragrances! This is the first one I have smelled since the debut of Rapture (yes, I’m dating myself). It’s rather fresh and reminds me of something I would more likely have found at Crabtree & Evelyn (this is a praise) or a small specialty linen and gift shop (also a praise). It reminds me of fresh spring and early summer days, and would be a lovely scent to spray after a cool shower or long, languid soak in the tub.
Had I not received this from a special someone (wink wink), I would never have considered trying it – the bottle is so wrong for the “message” inside. The name and the color, even the shape deny the juice its place upon many more shelves, in my opinion.

I blind-bought this based on the pairing of cotton blossom and lily. Sheer Love EDT is a clear, cold floral.
The cotton blossom is soft but bogged down by a soggy wet, ice-cold lily. This is a bit odd. Nothing else in my massive collection smells anything like this, which I find unique.
Scent: 7/10, although it does confuse me a little bit.
Performance: Average; no complaints.
Value (bang to buck ratio) = also no complaints.
This pretty scent probably won’t rock your world but it’s light, delicate, inoffensive, and easy to wear.
A ‘must smell’ for lovers of cotton blossom and/or lovers of lily. Even though I don’t prefer the combination, each of the notes in its own right is well-done, I just wish something else had been added to this combination to blend the two or that balance and depth had been reached in some other way (alas, there are no base notes and it shows). Perhaps layering over musk would be interesting. I’ll never know now…
She has been passed to a new (surprise) home!

Bought the body spray and LOVED it so of course I had to buy it’s perfume version

Bought Sheer Love on a whim. At first I liked it, but then it seemed too strong a floral – sharp with the cotton becoming more evident with the dry down. For those who enjoy a dominant lily/cotton scent, this is for you. For me, it was too strong.
