The citrus, ginger and cardamom is what makes it feel clean for me. I pick up very light florals which are subdued and not the main attraction. This has a soft sillage, and becomes a skin scent quickly. This is one of those “You smell good” fragrances that we can’t have too many of. If you work in close physical contact with people (health care, beauty services) this is a very appropriate scent.
This is something you can carry with you to refresh yourself and not overpower others. Very versatile and acceptable to most people. I can’t imagine anyone who would find this offensive. A good blind buy and very inexpensive.

My mom has a vintage bottle of this, with the juice that was purple that has now turned teal. I sprayed it in the air and on my face. I couldn’t remember what it smelled like to me as a child, except that it was milder than my mother’s other perfumes, such as Opium. Now, it smells strongly of spice and something a bit chemical-like (maybe aldehydes?). I’d say the juice has definitely turned. Now it pretty much smell entirely of ground ginger.

Just received my big bottle of “She” from CheapSmells. Bought it purely because it seemed very good value for money and its a lovely scent. When I first sprayed it on it was quite alcoholic but quickly dried down to a very fresh, citrusy fragrance with a warm base. What is great is that I sprayed it this morning before work and now its time to go home and I can still smell it on my wrist! Really good staying power and a great everyday scent that is not too strong but strong enough to make an impact. After a while the citrusy top notes fade to a warm floral, slightly spicy scent. It is clean without being antiseptic – charming!

My big bottle of She arrived this morning and I was so excited to receive it because from the nice review Pierina wrote about it below it sounded so nice!
The thing that grabbed me most about what Pierina said is ‘it’s clean, it’s fresh and reminds me of fresh linens in a way’. Those are the kinds of scents that I really like for everyday use because they tend to be quite natural smelling, subtle, clean and make me feel fresh all day long. My most regularly used, everyday perfume is Oxygene which, to me, has exactly those qualities and its own uniqueness, which is why I love it so much.
Anyway, happily She has turned out to be a great, cheapy buy! On first spritzing it came off as being a bit tart and reminded me of watered down vinegar, which isn’t the great part and is presumably the zingy grapefruit! At this point the watery aspect and the slight woodiness as well was scarily reminding me of Alfred Sung Shi (which nearfantastica alluded to in her review), which I really dislike! Luckily though, this was fleeting and after only a few minutes it became much softer and the freshly washed linen smell began to become much more prominent. After that it’s pretty much stayed that way, which is absolutely fine with me and it smells really nice!
I think the main notes that come through for me in this perfume are initially the grapefruit, and then that fades away and the orangey’ness emerges more together with the magnolia, blond woods, musk and maybe a tinge of sandalwood. I don’t really detect the other listed notes.
So, this is a really nice perfume and, as with Fire & Ice, I really like it. Both are light, fresh and clean smelling, are perfect for warm weather and everyday use and are ‘ageless’ so they’d smell good equally on an 18 year old as much as on a 78 year old!! Pierina said she’ll be wearing hers to work, as a nurse, and I think this is a great perfume for the workplace because it’s unlikely to offend anybody. I wish more women would wear light, clean perfumes like this to work and then their colleagues wouldn’t have to feel overwhelmed and suffocated by strong, stinky perfumes that some women inexplicably seem hellbent on wearing all the time! So, this is a very nice, wallet pleasing perfume and is almost certainly going to be one of the very few perfumes (along with my beloved Oxygene!) that I actually finish an entire bottle of!

Based on the good reviews for She (coupled with the fact that I saw it on a British perfume website for barely over £5.00 for a 100ml / 3.4oz bottle!!) I decided to blind buy a bottle of it earlier on over the internet and I really hope it’s as nice as it sounds! The only slight worry is that one person has compared it to Alfred Sung’s Shi, which I really dislike, so I’m hoping that to my nose it will smell entirely different and more like fresh linens, which is what Pierina thinks it smells like! So, when I get my bottle I’ll update. 😉

Interestingly enough, Alfred Sungs “Shi” smells identical to this!! I have not seen this gorgeous scent in many years and last Christmas I was shopping and took a whiff of “Shi” and lo and behold, if it isn’t the same composition….I wonder if Sung bought and renamed the scent?

ps
sorry forgot to mention. the woodsy bits and gentility of this remind me of Noa but the rose/cyclamen freshen it up a bit.
Cheers!

And it is now here. Its an EDC
Open; fresh, citrusy sweet but not too sweet and a whisker of ginger just a bit of spice which dissapates as the frag is drying off.
Middle; cyclamen and rose are whispering through as the stars, a tinge of honeysuckle to maintain that sweetness.
Not detecting cardamon at all.
There is something else, my nose wants to ID it as a hint of carnation but its probably the magnolia or musk coming through.
Finish.. so far Im not detecting sandalwood but the woodsy notes and musk are here and very gentle.
Im actually quite impressed.
This is a cheap Frag less than $20/100ml (in australia thats like EU and USA equilavent of $5-$10 perfume is expensive here)
So to conclude I would recommend this suitable for daywear and work. Its clean, and fresh and reminds me of fresh linens in a way.
It is the cheapest frag in my collection and I am going to be wearing it.
I will take it to work. I think my patients would like their nurse to smell like this.

Im waiting for this to arrive.. I bought it out of curiosity because the components are nice and it irritated me that no one had reviewed on here. Also it was a real steal!
Will give details ASAP.
