Description
Jardin de France presents Bath & Body collection called Culture & Nature. The line includes: shower gel, body lotion, organic body butter, exfoliating cream, massage oil and Eau de Toilette.
Culture & Nature introduces six fragrances inspired by Madagascar, Russia, Brazil, Morocco, China and India.
We learn about China when catching a whiff of Shaiming: it smells like a soft flowery breeze, redolent of fruity osmanthus and tender linden flower. Light and transparent, Shaiming would please someone who is into fruity florals.
Products of this line are based on Camelia oil.
Extracted from the Camellia Oleifera seeds, this oil is widely appreciated in China for its nourishing, softening and anti-aging properties. In beauty care, it is usually used to hydrate the dry skin.
Shaiming was launched in 2008. The nose behind this fragrance is Expressions Parfumees Grasse.

I received a tester of this in a swap with a fellow Fragrantica member (thanks Rebella!!) and I am SO in love with it!
The very beginning starts off with a burst of freshness; the grapefruit is tantalizing and blends beautifully with the mandarine orange and amalfi lemon…its hard to describe how sweet yet delicate the opening is; its almost like 7up used to smell when I was a child when you first opened the bottle. Almost, but not quite. It quickly gains an almost ‘gingerale’ smell to me but I must stress that this ‘sweetness’ is not cloying, or artificial. It is almost ‘fizzy’ or ‘effervescent’ smelling.
Then the middle notes come in, balancing out the citruses with delicate osmanthus and linden. The peach and green apple notes complement the composition so perfectly, which is not usually the case with these notes. The finish is superb, with the jasmine, amber, musk and vanilla blending so well that none of these single notes stand out…rather they form a single harmonious melange that serves to uplift the rest of the perfume. Quite exquisite, masterfully done.
I wish like crazy I could buy this in Canada (or order from the states) but I am pretty sure I am out of luck.
If you thought you did not like citrus notes, you may want to try this gorgeous creation; done the right way they are refreshing and quite beautiful.
