The perfume Sexy Darling features sexy notes which show popular Kylie’s sexual charisma, with erotic accords. It is created of aromas of exotic floral bouquet consisting of a blend of red rose and juicy pear, with a fondling touch of sensual musk and warm sandalwood. It was created by Sophie Labbe of Firmenich.

The bottle has the same shape as Darling and Sweet Darling, which were creations by designer Lutz Herman.

The perfume Sexy Darling is available in dark red nuances, with hologram-like shining motifs on its package. It is available as 15 and 30 ml EDT and as luxurious body milk of 150 ml.
Sexy Darling was launched in 2008.

I bought this perfume for my mother years ago. The pear note is quite strong. It’s not a fresh, juicy pear. It’s a warm, soft pear. The pink pepper note compliments it well. The florals are feminine and the sandalwood and musk notes are well balanced. It’s very nice! The only downside is the availability. It’s hard to find it for a affordable price since it’s discontinued.

this was a re-gift! someone bought it for my aunty as a present and she didn’t like it so she gave it to me. it’s not the greatest perfume in the world, but i quite like it if only for the musky dry down. sillage is quite soft, while it’s deliciously spicy close to my skin i never get complimented on it because i don’t think anyone else can smell it!! i reapply usually twice in the day, just so i can continue to smell it.
(also, i hate citrusy scents and i don’t smell orange at all, i must be crazy)

Probably my least fave from the Darling collection but still something I’m happy to wear as a day to day sort of scent and for £13 for 50ml you can’t go too wrong can you. I can definitely smell the rose and the pepper coming through and its pleasant enough without being too girly which is a positive if you’re not much into the sweet bubblegum sort of scents. It definitely has a hint of Amor Amor about it, but not as sweet.
I’m happy to wear but probably wouldn’t replace once used (I’m pretty sure its discontinued now anyway) I’d recommend it as an evening scent in the cooler months or worn very lightly any other time. Lovely autumn scent.

it smells like ORANGE with a darkness. how boring! i dont think orange is sexy! it smells boring and plain and like theres just 2 notes in this perfume. all i smell is orange. yuck

i LOVE the darling bottles, ive had darling original and i hated the smell, so im gonna try this soon and maybe later buy it hopefully, because i really want this on my shelf! something tells me, and from your reviews that its very bad…but i just want this!
kylie is sexy and i would love to wear her scent. i also hate pink sparkle and showtime maybe this time i will like it…

A silly blind buy. The initial effect is a harsh and shouty mishmash, characterised mostly, I think, by this ‘musk’ note that blights so many modern perfumes – or is it musk/orange musk/’pepper’/orange? Anyway, this smells like lots of other mediocre fumes out there at the moment.
After about an hour Sexy Darling becomes a little more pleasant and a faint pear/sandalwood accord is evident. Shortly after that… almost nothing remains.
Smells cheap, thoughtless and cheaply done to me. I honestly can’t see Kylie choosing to wear it.
    Next!

I think this was my first celebrity perfume… My personal favourite from Kylie. It says girl power! Smart, sexy and capable. I got many compliments from men and women wearing Sexy Darling.

I would probably call this perfume a “Lovely Girl”
it is very light, floral and…..lovely, but no more than that.
There is no development and notes disappear one after another…it’s all musk at the very end.
I like this scent but it’s just too simple for me. However longevity is good.

well im so so glad i got some samples before i bought this perfume,i have dazling darling and darling so assumed this would be as good, yes its a lovely scent, but for me its very strong in first few seconds on applying, then literly its gone within 15 mins,i cant smell a thing !!! i literly plastered it on and yet gone,im gutted,i dont mind them milder or less silage but i at least expect a bit of scent after a short time,so although its a great smell i wont be buying a full size bottle

I really like this one. It’s definitelly not a killer fragrance. It stays rather close to skin, at least on me. Very safe choice for the office wear. It actually lasts a few good hours, sometimes I think it’s gone just to smell a bit of warm sandalwood hours later.
The fragrance itself is not massively complex – it is nice juicy pear to start with, then it gets warmer, pear is there all the time but perfume gets muskier.
I think it is nicely balanced sweetness and sour pear notes.
Pleasant to wear and the price is reasonable. Just got my second bottle 🙂

Such a great perfume! Very sexy smelling. All of the darling perfumes smell lovely but this one is definitely the sexiest and probably most expensive smelling.

This is My favorite perfume of all time, it’s so perfect. Not too strong but not weak either & the name “Sexy Darling” suits the perfume very well. Smells really sexy &womanly! Love it!

Really IS a Sexy Darling. Not a vamp lady or femme fatale. It’s the first celebtrity scent in my collection and a successful blind buy. I found a 15ml bottle for a very cheap price. And it turned out to be so nice! To me it’s more fruity than floral. Reminds me of a red fruits compote with a hint of darkness, so the name and the bottle are quite appropriate for the smell. It’s subtle – nothing, vulgar, cheap, harsh or annoying. Sexy Darling is not something outstanding, but is really pleasant. I think it’s suitable for night time, but can be worn in colder days. It’s not very long lasting, but as someone else said – it’s good that it it’s not stronger or more intense or it would be a heavy one. On my skin the dry down is sensual sweet, delicate and delicious. I’m pleasantly surprised by this one!

As the name suggests, this is a truly sexy fragrance! Sweet fruits, sensual woody notes and delicate florals melange in an alluring and seductive fragrance. There’s not a hint of vulgarity or poor taste either! It’s just pure seduction, pure femininity.
I’m going halfway through my fourth bottle of this and I’m totally enjoying it! Lasting power and sillage are both good.

I sampled this at a pharmacy about an hour from my home. I loved it but was kind of turned off by the silly name and the fact that it was a celebrity perfume (Kylie Monigue has never done it for me, either!). So I didn’t buy it. But I couldn’t stop thinking about it so ended up searching every pharmacy near my home and, when I was unable to find it, ended up taking the hour-long subway trip back to the original pharmacy to get it!
I also own and love Burberry Brit and can see the similarities, but Brit has a more peppery, citrus-y scent on top of the sweetness. Darling is very sweet but has a well-balanced, musky, woodsy scent that is very sexy, if applied sparingly.

  19. :

    3 out of 5

A gift that by the name alone “Sexy Darling” raised high hopes but alas, as stated before it really is very similar to Burberrys Brit without the nice middle notes and pretty dry down. It reminds me of too many other perfumes, I guess that’s one of the things that bothers me about this scent.
The opening notes are promising but the dry down is very powdery in a dusty almost ‘stale’ perfume kind of way. Perhaps it’s my chemistry, perhaps it’s that they tried to make too many different perfumes ‘happen’ in this scent. I don’t know, but it doesn’t work for me. I would recommend to sample this on your skin and not on a paper strip before purchase. Good luck!

UPDATE: Ok i just don’t get why people dislike this scent , today i bought a new 50 ml bottle of it and its AMAZING , all the notes make it such a warm , slight spicy , dark fruity scent , sexy . Its a perfect blend , its not overpowering sweet like britney spears its a more delicate and mature . The pear and the blood orange mixed with musk and sandalwood makes it a very mysterious scent I loveee it and recommend it to everybody :)) This really is a sister scent to By night by Christina and Hypnotic Poison by Dior (only more simple but still good ). I like the box but the bottle seems a bit stupid for such a great scent , i dont like all the darling bottles , but for such a price they cant make it more luxurious .

  21. :

    3 out of 5

I love the top note of blood orange. It’s pleasantly sweet, but thanks to the pepper there’s a sharp bite to it. A lovely sweet/sour contrast.
It’s the overpowering floral notes that let SEXY DARLING down. The Belle De Nuit flower is sweet and heavy, and combined with the heavy jasmine I nearly always suffer from a headache when I wear SEXY DARLING. Also, when the florals mix with the pear, the sweetness crosses the line into sickly on me.
I also love the contrast in the base notes; the sharp, more masculine sandalwood & the more feminine heliotrope is a lovely mix. Thank God Kylie & Coty have had a break from the predictable vanilla notes, the results are wonderful.
While I wouldn’t re-buy this, I admit that it’s great that Coty have moved away from the sweet shop themes in Darling, Sweet Darling and Showtime, by finally releasing a more adult fragrance that could be seen as a representation of Kylie Minogue.
However, Coty still hasn’t released an original fragrance under the Kylie labe: SEXY DARLING is similar to Dior Addict on me.
Official scent notes: Pink pepper, pear, blood orange, red rose, belle de nuit, jasmine, heliotrope, sandalwood and musk.

i really like sexy darling, in my opinion its kylies best fragrance. im really suprised that there is no orange notes in this one because to me it smells alot like blood orange. to me it smells like blood orange and vanilla. kind of like armani code without the sexyness of the muskyness and spicey notes to my nose.. really nice

  23. :

    5 out of 5

This actually stinks and I have also had someone say that to me, which is a first. The perfume itself is waaaayyy too peppery and musky. Nothing nice about it, it’s not fruity at all.

  24. :

    3 out of 5

Consider of buying this one and I found information on the notes:
Top: Pink pepper, Pear, Blood Orange
Middle:Red rose, Belle de Nuit, Jasmine
    Base:Heliotrope, Sandalwood, Musk
So I bought this unsniffed online for less than a 10 pounds. I have wanted to do that some time now, but there was always something else…
I can definately smell the pear. Sweet and juicy. Otherwise the beginning is somehow a bit annoying, maybe it is the pepper? But after a while (not long), the scent gets softer.
I sprayed once on my wrist and have definately difficulties smelling anything at all after an hour. Then 2-3 times to the other wrist and almost the same efect. I think the scent is very soft and close to the skin. Very pleasant though. Lightly fruity and sweet with pear and then soft musk with something warm and vanillic.
Update: I wear this again after some time and wow! This really is similar to Dior Addict! I did not notice that before, but this is (at least early middle notes)just a lighter version of Addict… I think “Belle de nuit” in this one and “Night blooming cereus” in Addict are the same flower? And it is creating the same sweet and thick feel to both of these scents.

I’ve tried all of Kylie’s perfumes and I think this is her best one. I love the musky, sweetness of this scent. It suits ‘Sexy Darling’ as I’ve recieved many compliments from men wearing this perfume. The only downside is that it doesn’t last at all! I had to reapply every 2 hours which is a little annoying. This is a great perfume to wear on a candlelight date and I think it suits all ages. Highly recommended!

Kylie has a new Dazzling perfume out now. I just got it and it is very nice. It is not as sweet as the others but a fresh light smell. I tried this one again and I do love the smell and agree with another reviewer that it reminds me of By Night by Christina. I find I have to spray it quite a lot to get it to last on me. This would mean I use the bottle very quickly but it is not expensive so that I suppose doesn’t matter. If you like her Darling range try the new Dazzling one it is very nice but I see it is not on this site yet. I will continue to buy her Darling range I think they smell nice and are easily available and cheap to buy. I now know how to use them to get them to stay on so I am really pleased because I love kylie so this is just one more thing of hers I can buy and enjoy. I really wish the Sexy Darling wasn’t a limited edition because I think it is the nicest of all the Darlings. The bottle is very simplistic so I guess that is why people say it is cheap because it is plastic but I think it suits the whole concept she has gone for. The new Dazzling one has a solid silver cap so it isn’t the plastic black one that people seem to dislike. I think this range are sweet but not so sweet that someone like me in my 30s would smell rediculous. I think that could be the case with Showtime.

its amzing , at first i feel like the pear and the rose blend together very good and after while comes the musky sensual seductive scent. i love it it reminds me of in control by britney , by night by christina aguilera.

Again with the good reviews bought a bottle of this and was disappointed. Find it too strong and a bit musky. I like my perfume to be sweet soft floral fruity and not irritating to my nose and others. Last celebrity perfume i will ever buy.

First of all, I would never ever buy this myself. It’s a happy coincidence my younger brother who’s in his early teens bought it for me as a christmas gift. I think the bottle is a huge mistake and I find the name embarrassing. Still, I really like this fragrance. It’s oriental, woody, musky and sweet, but not at all girly-bubblegum-sweet like some of the other Kylie-fragrances (I had to try a few of them on after finding out I like this one). Rather heavy and with good sillage. Unfortunately, nothing happens with Sexy darling. I tried to detect any development, any change, but – nothing. The notes die, one after one, and a bit too soon. It lasts for about six hours on me.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

I really like Sexy Darling. It’s a warm, creamy, slightly fruity and sexy perfume, so the name is perfect for it! Marki-san is right when he says it starts out being a bit ‘dirty sensual’ and then turns sweeter.
To me, Sexy Darling reminds me a little bit of 212 Sexy, which I love, even though in some ways they’re dissimilar, but they’re both definitely warm, girly and very sexy!
Sexy Darling is also quite long lasting and it isn’t over-priced so it’s a great buy. 5 out of 5 stars from me!! 🙂
UPDATE:- Oh, I’ve gone off Sexy Darling a bit now, for some reason, and don’t wear it much! I find it slightly cloying now and although there is a bit of a similarity to 212 Sexy, 212 Sexy is much better (more expensive though, unfortunately!). Also, the more I see the Sexy Darling bottle the more cheap I think it looks (not that looks are everything, of course!). I think the cap is tacky looking and would look better if it wasn’t cheap black plastic!! Because I’ve gone of this perfume a bit now I’d give it 3 out of 5. It’s nice but I’m not 100% loving it at the moment!!

I have been wanting this for ages. I finally got it and it vanishes within minutes no matter how much I put on. I have tried having a shower and applying to clean skin and applying at the end of the day. It does not last on me. It smells just like vanilla to me I cannot smell cherries or burberry? Oh well must just not work for me. Very sad.

This one is so sweet and sexy…but the lasting power is zero, i mean after an hour i cant smell it anymore.
I’ll carry the botle with me to reaply it few times cause i really enjoy the scent. Its soooo damn sexy:)

I like this. There is a definete kick to this perfume. It almost smells like a Spicy kind of pink sugar going on here. Definetely sweet and sexy, not very strong though. Wish it was stronger
Update: ok, I have to admit now that I love this… I wish it was a little bit LOUDER but the scent itself is delicious.. absolutely love this one

Fruity and sexy, one of the best ones among Kylie Darling fragrances. For mature women because it would be too seductive for young people. But, too bad, it does not last.

Mandashell’s review is pretty much spot on. I agree with the red berry feel, and the similarities to Brit but sweeter and more feminine. It could also could pass for another version of Jil Sander Style in her pastel line, the cran-raspberry version. Possibly due to fresh cranberry sauce in my house from Thanksgiving, cranberries and raspberries come to mind when I smell it, add a touch of cherry, mix with JS Style, you pretty much have Sexy Darling.
The red berry feel holds on until the end. This is very long lasting with good sillage. Impressive for the price.

Oh my! Now that I’ve found this I really wish that I had tried it before buying Burberry Brit. Darling has the perfect blend of fruit, wood and musk that I was looking for. It is also fruitier( smells like red fruits to me—yummy), sweeter and overall has a more well blended composition. As others have already mentioned the drydown does remind you of Brit but I get a lot more vanilla. Also find Brit to be a little masculine whereas Darling is feminine and sexy IMHO. ;’D Lasting power is pretty good and the sillage is nice. So, if you like Brit but think it is too expensive or a little too citric and/or masculine for your tastes then this would be a good choice. You can get the full sized tester bottle for an incredibly low price on ebay! ;’)
Oh my, this has replaced Brit in my collection and is officially my signature fragrance. I can pull this off day or night but it is in the evening that I truly feel like a “Sexy Darling”! ;’)
Just wanted to add that I am glad this scent isn’t stronger or more intense. If it were the I would probably grow sick of it and my love wouldn’t be the same. Sometimes a scent needs to be just what it is. 🙂

Sexy Darling is a mix of Dior Addict and Burberry Brit. It starts with the dirty sensual feeling that Dior Addict has and then turns into the sweet goodness of Burberry Brit. So thats 2 awesome perfumes in 1 for dirt cheap price. Good one Kylie!

I hate Darling but I really like this one. Interesting smell, I guess I will go for a tester and try it out for some time. Maybe not a love of my life but certainly a fragrance I like a lot.

i love this sweet woody musk smell, I mix mine with the Body Shop’s Amorito, and the vanilla and double chocolate in that make this fragrance to die for. This also reminds me a bit of Gloria by Cacharel.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

Sexy Darling by Kylie Minogue is so very similar to Burberry Brit, they could be sisters in my opinion. It is a strong and lovely woody musk.
In my initial spray I could detect soft fruit notes, but more of the rose, jasmine, musk and sandalwood. The pear/sandlewood/jasmine combination give it a dry woody slightly sweet feeling, but more dry woods than sweetness. A perfect fragrace for evenings or romantic interludes. Very sensual and exotic. I found it to be very strong, so you don’t need to apply much. It also has excellent sillage. Lasting power on me was about 8 hours.
I believe this is suitable for any age group, any event, but perhaps more so for evenings.
The bottle design and colour is lovely and classy to me, simple yet classy.
Floral and woody, a very relaxing scent, inviting you to come closer….I found it to be very sexy.
    I Love it!

This is by far the best fragrance from Kylie Minogue’s perfume range. Such a pity that this is a limited edition and difficult to find.
The fragrance opens with a sweet burst of blood orange, making it rather similar to Deep Red by Hugo Boss. I do like this sweetness however, it is certainly not as sickeningly sweet like Showtime was.
Sexy is the first word that comes to mind when I smell Sexy Darling, so the name of this fragrance won’t let one down. The sillage is also fantastic and the lasting power, although not outstanding, is certainly better than average.
Unlike Kylie’s other fragrances, which were in my opinion rather cheap-smelling, this fragrance is surprisingly quite sophisticated, warm and sensual.
I recommend this fragrance as the best choice from the Kylie Minogue range.

I just got this perfume today… I agree with Fairylight7, a cheaper version of Burberry Brit, though I’m not sure if it’s so much a cheaper version(?). I have both of these scents now, and I do find it quite hard disguishing one from the other…VERY VERY close in scent, overall. But a very nice sweet scent.. And to me, one that is suitable for both day and nighttime wear:)

  51. :

I was very surprised to find that orchid is not listed in ‘Sexy Darling’s notes…I could have sworn I smelled that after a few minutes. Although in the beginning this fragrance is sweet and quite generic, it quickly develops into and INTENSE sweetness on me that lasts for hours…among the notes listed is ‘Marvel of Peru’ and although I have not actually smelled this flower, i’m wondering if that is what the INTENSE sweetness is. Quite surprised as well that vanilla is not listed in it…it is that sweet! Too strong for me, but you should try it if you like fruity/gourmand type fragrances.

  52. :

    3 out of 5

I love the top note of blood orange. It’s pleasantly sweet, but thanks to the pepper there’s a sharp bite to it. A lovely sweet/sour contrast.
It’s the overpowering floral notes that let SEXY DARLING down. The Belle De Nuit flower is sweet and heavy, jasmine is also heavy. Result? I nearly always suffer from a headache when I wear SEXY DARLING.
While I wouldn’t re-buy this, I admit that it’s wonderful that Kylie’s finally released an adult fragrance. She was 40 in 2008, after all.
However, she still hasn’t released an original fragrance; SEXY DARLING is similar to Dior ADDICT on me. But hey, at least we’re beginning to move in the right direction.

  53. :

It is a modern type of oriental – that is sweety-vanilla-fruity with some woods and a bit of spices. Comparable to for instance with Secret Obsession. The sweetness prevails. It is not ugly scent, I’d recommend it to young girls or women for evening wear, or those who are looking for something alluring, but not heavy.

  54. :

    3 out of 5

Kylie got the name right as it is both sexy and darling. I like its warm, spicy, oriental-like and flirtatious composition a lot, it’s a great fragrance for wintertime. Unlike mymlan, I find Sexy Darling’s musky notes quite feminine and don’t detect any masculine nuances in it. Would recommend it to young or youthful women who wish to wear delightful spicy fragrance without the ‘knockout’ effect of too strong perfumes.

  55. :

its the one of the darlings that i less like, its said to be floral woody musk, but on me was a bit like the new naomi campbell scent wich is a bit oriental but have outstanding citrus notes, maybe it just doesent suit me but i couldt imagine an occasion when i would wear this.
