I have deleted my previous (and unfair) review. This is beautiful and exceptional. A natural perfume that smell like calissons? With just the right amount of Angelica to make it not overly sweet. I suspect the dislikes are more about the pitiful longevity than the scent. I am considering a full bottle of Sexy Angelic (still not a fan of the name) and maybe over spraying is the solution to make it last a bit more!

I’d have to be crazy not to wear this! And no I’m not going to scotch the girls.

Nothing sweet about this at all on me. And NO almonds. Just sour vomit. Very strange. Maby I bought a bad bottle?

The first couple of times I smelled this perfume I was only mildly interested… a modern, soft heliotrope I thought, but with a weird bitter overtone of angelica seed.
However, after I was gifted an unwanted bottle, and started to give it some proper wearing, a different side emerged. After the angelica fades, SA smells to me just like freshly poured brown creamy soda -and I love that note!!

A very soft, sweet almond with a bitter herbal note. I do find this very pleasant and calming, and not too foody or sugary. It’s a shame that it’s so weak and fleeting, but I’ll take that tradeoff for a 100% natural scent that doesn’t break the bank (I found it for cheap online).

I like the beginning of this perfume. On my skin, it is all almond and sweetness. That is, until it gets to the dry down. It somehow morphs into an almost plastic like scent that I don’t find appealing. For that first 15-30 minutes, though, it’s heaven.

I had high hopes for this one. I imagined it being an awesomely unique play-doh fragrance OF MY DREAMS. But basically, it’s straight up play-doh, rubbing alcohol and citrus candies and not much else.
Neither sexy nor angelic. It just falls flat and makes me a bit sad.
    Longevity is dismal.

First of all: sexy it is not.
In my opinion this is a well balanced heliotrope and angelica scent, not too sweet, nor too masculine smelling, but equally wearable for men and women.
At first I get a bitter almond scent which dries down to the almond/playdo smell which is soft and unsweet on my skin. The angelica gives it a “business” edge,so that it doesn’t risk smelling like almond cookies even though there must be some vanilla in there.
I reach for it often enough, especially for work.Applied generously it lasts well into the afternoon. It’s very easy to wear for me and is both businesslike and comforting.

Weak sugary smell and no lasting power. Good thing I only bought a sample.

I must agree this is a strange perfume. I like both almond and angelica, but together not sure about that. I believe the sugar here adds “weird to the o”. Then all of a sudden hint of anise and mint.It does get better with time, however it continues to be “trippin’ b….” scent. Medicated mints-great previous comparison. Men could pull this off.
If you really want to go for something different that only you (most likely) will appreciate than this is it!

For me Sexy Angelic is a pretty weird scent; I agree with those who say there is nothing else similar in the market (perhaps there is a good reason for it…).
The name does not; I would not associate it with sexiness; it is more of a cosy, innocent and sweet scent. It is slightly herbal and very, very sugary. There is almond powder and sweet notes and some muskiness. I am not sure if the notes go well together, for me it seems a bit like a dissonance of olfactory notes. The herbal an the sweet do not clash, but they do not go all that well together.
It keeps very, very close to the skin, it is quite weak, but nevertheless interesting.

I just added “Angélique Noire” from Guerlain’s collection “L’Art et la Matière” : it could be a good match concerning the little bit sweet angelic but, according to me (I have to mention that I don’t now “Angélique Noire” (as a matter of fact, it is in my test list) ), it is going to be a too “straight” angelic to be a “Sexy Angelic” substitute.
“Sexy Angelic” has indeed other notes that soften the angelic.
But maybe layering “Angélique Noire” with an other fragrance (which one, I truly do not know …. If you have some ideas !) in order to soften it may end in something that could be a good match for a “Sexy Angelic” stronger version ?

I just added “Tome 1 La Pureté for Her” from Zadig & Voltaire as a suggestion : I don’t know if it could be a good match but “La Pureté for Her” also contains almond and a milky note, and the review made of it remembers me a little bit, even if not identical, the feeling of wearing “Sexy Angelic”.

    To Mellyhelly :
    Thank you for answering.
When I say that there is something “vanilla tart”, I mean exactly the same as Rebella pictured telling that this note is like “the powder sugar in the bottom of the box where it has been delicious vanilla tarts”. This si very subtle, indeed.
I think this may come from the “calisson” note (this is a French sweet made of paste of candied fruit (especially melons and oranges) and ground almonds topped with a thin layer of royal icing). This is surely also the reason why we perceive that so deliciously soft milky note.
When you mention the Jo Malone Collection, I guess you are talking about “Sweet Milk” fragrance, aren’t you ?
It seems to be a limited edition, though.
Thanks for your suggestions : I think you are right when directing us towards something gently almondy, powdery in a very subtle way, and milky.

To be honest I cannot think of a scent similar to Sexy Angelica but stronger and more longlasting, because it’s such a weird perfume, not smelling like other scents on market, especially because I think they don’t use common fixative.
Anyway I don’t even smell anything strictly sugary in SA, not in the way sugary scents are meant these days.
It has no cake-tart-candy edge. I think the sweet edge comes from that strange soft milky note in SA.
I mentioned Heliotrope Blanc by Piver, not easy to find, because it gives me a similar feeling, slightly powdery and gently almondy.
You may also try Etro Heliotrope and something in the Jo Malone line.
I also smelled a vague milky soft note in perfumes which contain the old creamy REAL sandalwood of Mysore, like vintage Samsara and oldest formula of Dolcevita, but even in their best formula (the old one) they smell like much more complex and woodier perfumes

Here are Rebella’s two suggestions, even if she says that she hasn’t (unfortunately) yet found something really similar to “SA” :
    – “SHARP” (Andrea Maack)
    – “POOPOO PIDOO” (Ego Facto).
I put these two names, along with other suggestions I thought about, in the “this perfume remind me” line here above : please feel free to vote or add your suggestions.
    Thanks.
    Angelica.

To all people who know this fragrance :
What fragrance would you suggest me to find back this “infant-like”, “powder sugar vanilla tart”, somehow milky, soft, angelic, caressing scent BUT with more strength and lasting power ?
I’m indeed searching for a stronger version (this one seems way too weak) of it, with way more lasting power (I need fragrances to stay alive all day long, not just 30 minutes) : what would you recommend me ?
    Thank you.
    Angelica.
P.s. : You can answer here, so that others may benefit fro your answers (I might not be the only one to search for a stronger version of “Sexy Angelic” ^^ ) or PM me if you prefer it.

beautiful scent, triggers memory of serene, comfort, sunshine and caressing.
HOWEVER does not last, i lose it within 30min.

rebella put it very clearly! I have the same feeling about this, but I also smell something wild in this scent. It’s a note that comes and goes at different times. I smell sweet lovely vanilla and then that weird herbal wild plant smell. Is that angelica? It’s also vaguely almondy, almost in a Hypnotic Poison way but much better and much less cloying! Yes, it definetely smells like little babies and even more like mom and child together. There is something milky in this scent. It is very strange I tried another fragrance which smells on the same line, even if completely different: Heliotrope Blanc by Piver. Vanillic, fresh milky, almondy scent. Not so soft after all, not so angelic after all.

I’m rarely in the mood for this, it’s a bit too tarty sweet, though it can be a hit when you have an odd craving for a sweet dessert

I wasn’t really impressed by this, way too weak. I couldn’t smell it at all unless my nose was on my wrist. Somehow I do think the name totally matches the description and smell of the juice. I can’t really smell vanilla at all. I love vanilla but this smelt like a sweet flower spritzed with lemon. Very very soft, not a bad perfume, but I certainly wouldn’t buy a bottle. This would be perfect for someone who doesnt really want to smell like perfume.

PS. It´s a bit odd tough, how the perfume smells and the name dosn´t really suites eachother?

Some things that comes in my mind when testing this is memories, transparent, fragility, the smell of an infant… Some delicate notes that´s almost isn´t there, but still is. Smelling on my wrist make me think of a memory of a fragrance… like the powdersugar in the bottom of the box where it has been delicious vanilla tarts. This is what I would wear every day to work if I was working on a hospital with premature and really sensitive little children…
I know, you aren´t supposed to wear any perfume at all in that kind of work, but this one is so much remindning me of infants, actually so much that I feel maybe I should have another baby? No, just kidding… but that it was this perfume is for me, the memory of how a tiny, cute little baby smells like. Very unusual, unfortunatly a bit weak.
