This is so ladylike and comforting. This woman I used to work with swore by it and was beautiful, magnetic, and charming, so it’s good when I want to channel her confidence. I have a full collection of fragrance but keep coming back to this. The musk is not too soapy, the patchouli is rich. I love the sweetness of the blackberry and there is also a note that smells like a classic barbershop cologne. Absolutely gorgeous. Trish is known for her makeup but the fragrance line really ought to get more credit. The packaging is functional and the scent is available as a rollerball. The bottle is easy to decant since it screws open. I wish the packaging was a little more chic, but that’s pretty minor. I highly recommend it.
Update: a friend just said I was radiating an aura of deliciousness. I’m keeping this one on for the foreseeable future.

This is my second wearing, having a sample from Nordstrom’s….In contrast to the review below, I find this scent to be incredibly fleeting, perhaps the fastest dissipating scent I have encountered, and very mild during its short life span to boot. While present, it is a nice natural fruity, slightly woodsy, musk – I don’t pick up the vanilla, though perhaps on me it just doesn’t have the chance to develop as the whole show is over so quickly. It’s a nice fragrance, not particularly unique; I can see this being the ‘sexy’ scent that some might be looking for, it has a fun flirtatious quality and certainly smells good. To give you a sense of the ‘longevity’ on me…I sprayed this morning around 7:00, 7:15am. It’s just 10am and I have to attach my nose to my wrist to get the barest hint. And at least since 9:30 I’ve been wondering ‘where is it?’

I ordered this from television and was very disappointed. I am a fan of oriental and spicy scents, but this one was too much vanilla or blackberry or both. It was just too strong. I gave it to my niece, who wore in in the car with me one trip and I about gagged. Note to self: Don’t give perfume you hate to your relatives! 🙂

The blacker the berry the sweeter the juice?
Not necessarily!
At least not in this blackberry laden fragrance offering. It’s sweet alright, but not obnoxiously so. The sweetness is natural, fruity. It lacks the synthetic, intense artificial sweetener sometimes present in fragrances.
The fruitiness is accompanied, by a heavy doses of both vanilla and musk, providing both comfort and something I can’t quite put my finger on, but I wouldn’t describe it as typical musk “sexy”, not even sensual. It’s comfortable and slightly creamy. It doesn’t present as warm, more room temperature. The florals are fleeting at best, but I can detect an unlisted pinch of cinnamon. As usual for me, the patchouli grounds all the notes nicely. NOT so usual to me is the overall feel of the combination of vanilla, blackberry, musk, patchouli. Sexy 9 is strangely thick and doughy to my nose. It’s what is the most appealing about this fragrance to me. The dough is more reminiscent of pie than a child’s play-dough.
Maybe that’s by design, something the perfumer cooked up? 🙂

This is a very wonderful delicious scent. This is defiantly a Unisex scent. In fact when I bought it from Blue Mercury the Trish McEvoy representative was there and advised that this was indeed marketed as universal. It is sweet but a masculine sweet. I love how it smells on my skin and get lots of complements, however if you are a man who refuses to smell a bit sweet….then this is not for you. At first spray it is all blackberry, but quickly dries down to a berry/vanilla musk. It lingers for a very long time. I will catch a wiff late in the day or the next morning if sprayed before bed. Well worth it. A great quality Fragrance.
Scent: 10/10 Delicious For a women: This is a perfect. For a man: Perfect if you are into sweet scents that are not typically marketed for men.
Sillage: 8/10 Projects well. After dry down stays close to the skin.
Longevety: 8/10 Lasts long. at least 8 hrs.
Price 6/10 A bit pricy but worth it.

This has been one of my favorites for years. I love that it smells luxurious as well as sensual. The blackberry is not overwhelmingly sweet, and the patchouli mellows it some on my skin.
