Celine Dion Sensational Moment is the successor of the fragrance Sensational and it is also this year’s limited edition. Sensational Moment is inspired by sunny summer rays, preserving the magic of the moment in a golden bottle.
The perfume is created for glamorous and elegant moments and for a woman who is adorable and lovely. Top notes are mandarin orange, blackberry and juicy pink grapefruit; middle notes are freesia, ginger and pink peony; base notes are hazelnut, musk and white amber.
The bottle is shaped similarly to the previous edition Sensational: it is a shiny oval, but this time with golden shine, perfect for the upcoming holiday season as a memory of a romantic summer day. Sensational Moment was launched in 2008.

Not sure what provoked me to order this, but I am so happy that I did. This is an unexpected pleasant surprise. Was a blind buy, so you never know. The notes intrigued me and sounded like a good combo, but sometimes that is not always so once on your own skin. I had wanted another “daytime Fall” scent (they seem to be hard to find for me), and this just seemed to possibly fit the bill. Luckily, this is a successful blind buy for me. Yay!!!
There is a definite warmth to this. The amber is definitely not hiding. I’m a little surprised to see amber voted so far down in the notes. In looking at these notes, I kind of feared this might be a ‘heavy hitter,’ but it’s not, it is quite lightweight, considering the notes. Borderline skin scent….after this dries down, this to me becomes a ‘snuggle scent’…Soft, not heavy at all. No worries about filling up the room or people still smelling this after you’ve left.
A comforting, warmth, almost a vintage scent. Something my mom might have worn when I was a kid. Reminds me of a vintage Avon fragrance, but I just can’t recall that Avon fragrance. I see Coty owns/produces Celine Dion’s fragrances at this time, so that kind of explains the vintage vibe I get from this. For some reason a lot of Coty perfumes for me translate into vintage smells.
Nicely done. If you can pick this up at a bargain price and you like amber and warm notes, this might be worth checking out.

This fragrance is a good spring scent. Green, and a little fruity, not flowery, but feminine at the same time. Subtle woody after-notes.

I wanted to try something new today and that is why I “broke my rule” of using my perfumes in the order that they are listed on my “Perfumes I Have”-list. I bought 3 of the small edts of Sensational Moment and I started using one of them today. I like Sensational Moment. I hoped that I’d love it as part of its name is “sensational”. I sprayed it on this morning and now at 3pm I can still smell it, however faintly.
The scent in itself is strong but it sits close to the skin. I wanted to actually smell it on myself and I put my nose to my arm (where I sprayed the perfume) and I was like “wow, right in your face with hazelnut”. I really want a good alternative to Chocolovers by Aquolina, but the hazelnut in Sensational Moment is in fact a nutty smell and it is nothing like Nutella as I’d hoped it’d be. I guess it’d had to have sugary notes in there too in order to resemble the sweet smell of Nutella. I wear perfume on arms and lower upper-body (belly) or on my legs and belly. I am glad that I sprayed Sensational Moment on my arms and not my legs so that I can stick my nose in the smell. The smell is quite nice, so I like it. However, I do not think I’ll love it, even though it has grown on me. I am also able to smell the scent through my blouse and I guess that the cotton in my blouse affects the smell of Sensational Moment. I’ll look forward to smelling Sensational Moment with other clothes so I can hopefully get the “real” smell and not the smell of perfume mixed with the smell of cotton in my blouse. Or, maybe that’s just the way Sensational Moment smells. In sum: it’s not bad and it’s quite “grown-up”. It is a scent for the woman in her 30s to 40s. The scent is classy, grown-up, elegant and serious but in a relaxed way — if that makes sense. To me this scent is inoffensive in that the sillage isn’t strong. It sticks close to the skin. Longevity is average, I guess. I agree with other voters, I guess, that both longevity and longevity are Moderate. Like windhill said, this is definitely a perfume that I could imagine Celine Dion wear herself. 🙂
Sensational Moment is nothing like any of the few other fragrances I’ve tried this far (and these are Aqua di Gioia, Lily Prune Love, my own Tazida, Street Looks Donna number 1 and 21, gs03, Midnight Fantasy, and Pink Ice). Sensational Moment is different, but in a good way. Like mentioned earlier, I like Sensational Moment but I really hope it’ll grow on me as I really want to like a fragrance with hazelnut in it.

Bough it blind and totally love it. This fragrance does not smell cheap. Really elegant and it something that i think Celine should smell like. Most i can smells are juicy grapefruit, blackberry, hazelnut and fresh ginger. All become sweet’n sour mature fruity floral with balanced soft woody nutty aroma from hazelnut. It sweet, clean but still sexy and a little bit strong. My favourite fragrance from Celine Dion.

A bit too fruity for me, I don’t mind subtle hints of fruit, but not fond of fruit dominate scents. Not a fan of ginger/oriental scents. I have enjoyed a few of Celine’s other scents, but this is one I decided not to buy.

I have bought it on sale from Strawberries.com, I hadnt tryed it before I bought it…Just read the describtion on Int.
The first notes(when I opened the bottle) was too much ginger…but after a while it desappeared..Now it is just a hint of it.
When I use it-I dodnt need much of it. Pink Grapefruit is the first I smell, but then comes Pink Peony and Orchid. It might be a little too strong fragrance…But it is not one of that cheap ones…It is suitable for a evening or a romantic meeting 🙂

I must say I like this one alittle more than the original Sensational. S.M. has more of a sweet’n sour smell to it, where-as the other one is all floral. That’s not to say I don’t like the original, but this one has more of a zing to it.

Only tray this one today. After 4 houer im have hard too catch the smell on my skinn. Still there but not stay long on my skin. Just fine before go too sleep im think. Sweet relaxing make me sniff realy like the smell. Remind me on Dalimania – Salvador Dali as have better staying power stronger smell.

I am a small store fragrance purchaser and this came in today. After testing Sensational I really didn’t think I would like this fragrance but I do. It’s warm and sexy and I find myself sniffing my wrist to see what the middle and base notes bring.

Totally I’m not into celebrities perfumes,but celine dion is an exception!I like sensational moment even more than sensational.the recent had some sweet sour notes,but this one is kind and passionate.how sad,it’s limited edition!what I smell most in it is blackberry and freesia.if you’re looking for a perfume like j’adore and you think it’s a bit expensive don’t hesitate in testing sensational.I love wearing this perfume while listening to “D’elles” album.the french album which was released at the same year of this fragrance.it goes well with the song “A cause”.
