This smells so dang yummy! It smells exactly like a fresh baked sugar cookie, when pulled straight from the oven. That wasn’t quite what I had expected, but Scottish Shortbread has ended up as a very high like. There aren’t too many reviews for it around; however, the few I have read on the Demeter site are correct. I had originally purchased this hoping for something similar to and cheaper than Lann-Ael Lostmarch, but there is no shortbread, no real wheat note and definitely no butter. But that’s okay!
After I blind bought this, I actually became really worried that it would be too dry and savory, but that’s not the case at all. It’s actually quite sweet, but in the same sense that a pinch of granulated white sugar is sweet. It’s not cakey, candied, cupcake-y or frosting-like. As with many Demeter’s, it’s not very long lasting and projection is light. Can easily be worn all year round, but definitely most comforting in cooler weather.
And funny story, when my four year old smelled it the first time I wore it, he said I smelled like a delicious biscuit. Lol!
