Warm cinnamon, likeable but not scarlet in the sense of scandalous.

A spicy green medicinal mix more in step with the likes of Heeley’s Esprit du Tigre (inspired by Tiger Balm) than any floral I’m familiar with. As floral-phobe, I really like this perfume! But it has very little to do with rose, and is certainly not “Scarlett”

I can smell cloves in it. Because of that it reminds me of a dessert my mother used to make when I was a child.
There’s also something very soapy about it.
It smells so clean and spicy.
Very interesting compared to many other perfumes out there.
I’m not quite sure how to wear it, it’s out of the ordinary and doesn’t suit for an everyday scent.
There’s also something dark and mysterious about it.

like a lovely little beribonned box of rose Turkish delight and macaroons consumed with spiced mint tea and Laduree if Laduree were in North Africa

This passed the ultimate test of perfume love. The eyes roll back in the head – I’ve been seduced and given up control. To really get me, a perfume has to evoke, and keep evoking in new ways as it unfolds, an ephemeral sense of pasts we never knew personally but spend lots of time living in mentally. It makes it real, and makes you feel immortal. Its something about both rose and rose hips combined with smoke and spice. L-O-V-E.

I was in love with scarlett at the first sniff.
It’s smoky, dry, incense-y and ripe.
It is hot and spicy, but also has a cool and smooth berry-floral edge.
It’s a stunner.
But definitely an unconventional one.
Stay clear if you dislike spicy scents.

The green notes PLUS the angelica are complete overkill to my nose. In the background, I can detect some sweet citrus and some powdery sweet rose, but these beautiful notes are drowning in a sea of green.
No can do. It’s a scrubber for me.

Baie rose and rose are two entirely different beasts (as is the case for tuberose and rose…), a point nowhere better illustrated than in Keiko Mecheri SCARLETT, which should really be named HERBALIA.
This is one of the most herbal perfumes I’ve ever worn. The sillage is huge, and I feel as though I’ve been wearing a suit constructed of bay leaves all day long (yes, excellent longevity…). This composition is far more aromatic and masculine than floral and feminine. The color here is not scarlet–or red of any hue–but rather brownish green.
For überherbal lovers only–definitely not for me.

The spices and the angelica together with something sharp and green are killing the wonderful may rose for me… I ve tried it several times but no..not a rose fragrance for me alas…I’ll go for my sample of Mille et Une Roses by Lancome, the most beautiful trues rose of all my rose samples so far..

Dear Stella,
I’m sorry, but I’ve fallen for someone else. She’s a bit darker with more spice and more sex appeal. We’ve just met but I know that we’re meant for each other. I can’t resist her. I’ll always remember what you and I have shared – it was phenomenal. But it’s time for me to move on.
