Description
In October 2016, Victoria’s Secret launches Scandalous Dare, a new floral – fruity flanker of the original Scandalous from 2014. Model Jasmine Tookes, who was the face of the first edition, is joined by another “angel” Sara Sampaio in the new campaign. The message reads: “Every Angel has a Scandalous side…what’s yours? “
Scandalous Dare is announced as a “flirting with scandal” fragrance that brings a vibrant and sexy twist to the original release. Iced plum, pink tuberose and pink jasmine petals are the main notes of the composition. The carved glass bottle comes in bright pink this time, again decorated with a black satin bow and pump.
The fragrance is available as a 50 and a 100 ml Eau de Parfum with supporting products such as a 250 ml Body Mist and a 7 ml mini rollerball.

A typical VS scent, very similar to Night by VS. It kinda reminds me of some VS body mists as well. Maybe Temptation and Temptation In Bloom. Typical sweet floral scent. The bottle is pretty though.

Dare is very different ..
For me the original one is softer and sexier .
Dare opening is very good .
However after drying down is a bit annoyingly sweet ( btw i am sweet lover )
But idk why i feel annoyed
Over all its not bad
But wont be my sexy webon

Pretty, light and big fresh plum note, followed by sweet pink jasmine. I did not smell the tuberose at all. Very girly and cheerful fragrance. The plum fortunately always performs really well on me, as it can be a tricky note to pull off for many people. The most typical example of how plum note can turn into a “monster” is Marc Jacobs Decadence EDP. That one is either a hate or a love, without any grey area there.
I do enjoy this one for new spring and summer much better than the Scandalous. That one is too “smokey” and “bitter” to me because of the praline note.

The opening sharp, sour plum note reminds me of that in Britney Spears’s Midnight Fantasy, except with a hint of cheap, fruity hard candy that makes me uncomfortable. It smells much better when it dries down to the white florals.

Dare is a bit sour at first, so I was surprised that I wasn’t smelling rhubarb and watermelon. It is sour plum mixing with tuberose. It sweets up considerably in the dry down. It makes sense that the plum here in a VS perfume s nothing like the plum in poison.

Have a roller ball of this from a set I believe came out in 2016. So I finally got around to trying it and I see it’s discontinued. Anyway, it starts out similar to Scandalous with that plastic candy note which I believe is supposed to be the praline with just a slight hint of the florals listed in the description. After a bit it settles into a mix of Scandalous with a light fruity pear type scent much like VS Forbidden. I thought the pink bottle was pretty but now I’m glad I didn’t get the full size. It’s not offensive however i find it weak and boring.

Some VS perfumes shouldnt even exist. VS half-asses many of their perfumes, maybe just to sport a fancy bottle and a new name. So Im a white floral girl, I was intrigued by the notes. I like fruity sweet ones too. This one has some sourness at first, then as it settles it gets a little sweet. I have to say I prefer the Scandalous more, tho this one has better longevity. Both are weak. It is still very faint tho. It is so shy lol I have to stick my nose to my skin. It also lacks character. One moment it reminds me of some generic VS citrusy floral like Bombsell or Philosophy’s loveswept(also similar to Dream Angels Kiss which i LOVE) but these are quite loud.. and then it reminds me of generic department store florals like MJ Daisy. No distinct scent. It’s not bad but if you have any of the above I mentioned, u really dont need it. Thank god i got just the rollerball-ill keep it for some post workout needed freshness.

I have the entire set of this and I can definitely smell at least the idea of pink jasmine. Smells quite like the pink icing on animal crackers to me and I like that! I get no plum note, which I don’t really mind as plum tends to do weird things on my skin and I am picking up a faint tuberose, but this is really all ‘pink’ jasmine on me and I think there might be a hint of musk to this, too, but overall, this is pink, quite sweet jasmine and it has grown on me just as the original Scandalous has.

Fragrance Review For Scandalous Dare
Victoria Secret
Notes:
Jasmine
Tuberose
Plum
Radchick’s review is straight to the point and very true. I walked into the Victoria Secret main store in Columbus Ohio and found that this was the new & talked about perfume. But it’s a typical VS perfume and already smelling of mist and not perfume. Naturally no one should expect the Vs perfumes to smell like a Chanel fragrance, and at affordable prices, selling next to bra, panties, robes & nighties, you will always find the scents to be subtle and very weak in their projection & longevity. This is still very much a perfume for a young girl, younger than me, perhaps even younger than 18. The difference between Dare & Scandalous Dare is the fruiter aspects of Dare, whereas Scandalous was a raspberry, berry and vanilla/praline sweet scent, soft and skin scent in it’s nature.
Dare is a little bit more floral but not by too much. I don’t detect a tuberose and I would think that the noses behind this scent and Scandalous were playing it safe. Tuberose? Big white florals? In a Victoria Secret perfume? You’ll find more luxurious white floral scents in celebrity perfumes like Madonna Truth or Dare (modeled after her mother’s signature scent Fracas) and or Kim Kardashian’s debut fragrance as well as Paris Hilton’s Tease. The tuberose in those fragrances are clearly there and they are very well made. But here it’s tucked away in the background of nondescript white floral smells. Something white floral is here but it’s very soft.
A jasmine note pops up briefly, and they call it pink jasmine but in my experience I have never come across pink jasmines. This is definitely a little white jasmine. How I wish they had included a frangipani tiare or gardenia note instead. So no not very floral. Fruity. Plummy with a synthetically chemical plum note like plum juice. Simple, sweet, and fruity.
This fragrance can still smell very pleasant and it is not bad but it’s catering to the young kids who keep buying whatever Victoria Secret’s got. I don’t mind wearing this but it’s more a light skin scent and can be worn to bed.
Come on Victoria’s Secret come out with a real perfume sometime will you?

I liked Scandalous, but I’m not a fan of this version. I like a lot of VS perfumes, but this one just was very “meh” to me. I’d buy it if it were marked way down at the semi annual sale, maybe. I didn’t find it to be anything like their other new perfume, Intense, or like Seductive Dark Orchid, either. I own, and like, both of those perfumes, and I don’t think this is similar to them at all.

my country does not carry this bottle they only carry the scandalous one, is it a huge or subtle difference? shaunas review seem to suggest a huge difference but people vote this as a similar one to the original version, may someone please share if its a big difference, which one do u prefer and which one last longer, much appreciated <3

It’s already selling at my local Victoria’s Secret store!
Scandalous Dare is vastly different from the 1st Scandalous.
In fact it’s an improvement.
The first was a sweeter raspberry and vanilla scent, with pralines nutty milky sweetness and much lighter in it’s texture, a body mist.
I really like the 1st one but this is far more sophisticated.
I’m surprised at how the VS line is changing and starting to take itself more seriously.
Sure you go into the store ostensibly to buy lingerie. When I go buy my bras and panties, though, I’m usually distracted by the fragrances.
This time around this scent is more on the mature side and smells like it’s more than just a light body mist.
I detected a note of tuberose at the first spritz.
If you’re familiar with tuberose it’s creamy and smells almost like a perfume version of egg plant.
It’s creamy, fleshy, and sweet.
The same fleshy sweetness is mingling with plum.
Now plums don’t actually have a scent but in fragrances the chemical note that recreates plum makes it juicier and deeper like an actual juice made of plum.
The plum note takes over the scent but it turns progressively boozier and darker.
Suddenly there’s a muskiness that is similar to the musk in Heavenly or Angels.
This is a powdery musk at the dry down.
For me the florals are the key players.
The tuberose and jasmine are mature and beautiful white floral scents that are uncommon in Victoria Secret perfumes.
I’ve just gotten into florals so for me this is such a treat. I’m so happy they made a really good white floral fragrance.
I wouldn’t wear this with lingerie.
This is a night out with girlfriends perfume, something elegant like a friend’s wedding or a friend’s dinner party.
Beautiful!

Scandalous Dare is a pretty fruity floral – simple, fresh, safe, light. It’s not overly sweet. It’s much less sweet than the original Scandalous. Dare has just enough sweetness and floral balance to appeal to the masses. I’m moving away from sugar in my fragrance, and I find this one to be quite nice and not too sweet. There is nothing scandalous about this scent in my opinion however. I also can’t smell any tuberose in this.

I did a review of this perfume on Youtube.
