I will not really bash Santal Blush, since I personally despise Sandalwood dominant scents. If you like sandalwood with a hint of coconut…you will love Tom Ford Santal Blush.
Even though sandalwood as a prominent note is my nemesis, I tried wearing Santal Blush for a few days. It was torture, LOL, and in addition to my discomfort, I actually had TWO complaints about this on me 🙁
But, if you like Sandalwood and want to smell almost identical to super expensive Tom Ford Santal Blush….get a super cheap bottle of Adam Levine Woman. It is nearly identical, and you will save almost $300 🙂

I recently obtained a 50ml bottle as part of a much larger order.
I can say with complete confidence that this is the best sandalwood fragrance I have ever experienced….
Everything about it is beautiful….from the opening to the dry down.
It is in my opinion , wholly unisex…and does not lean fem or masc really one way or the other. I will agree with some other reviewers , that there is a somewhat coconut element to the fragrance….it is not listed….but it is there nonetheless, and it adds charm and appeal to the scent. Longevity is excellent…and it will last all day..
I own several sandalwood fragrances….and this is my favourite one by far.
But in all fairness…..the compositions I have compared it to are 3 entirely different compositions…..similar only in that sandalwood is the star of the show.
I can not express further (in words) the delight that is Santal Blush.
If you love fine fragrances & Sandalwood…..I would strongly recommend getting a bottle.

MAN! This thing is SEXY! Like WOW, it makes me want to do the deed! Sandalwood is the sexiest fragrance known to humankind and Tom Ford has it done right. So beautiful and warm and creamy, not loud at all. The drydown is fantastic. There’s nothing “sweaty” about this fragrance; it’s very well-blended. I went to Macy’s on Saturday night and sprayed it on my left hand; today is FRIDAY and I’m still smelling it on my jacket sleeve! It’s CRAZY EXPENSIVE but I want a bottle; I ordered two samples from Lucky Scent and can’t wait for them to arrive. It’s definitely unisex, nothing overly feminine about it. And while I was at the Tom Ford counter in Macy’s, the men coming to the counter went straight for Santal Blush out of all the colognes there. (One of them was a total idiot who stuck his finger right in the decanter and was promptly reprimanded by the associate, which served him right.) I can’t stop thinking about how sexy it smells. FANTASTIC. 15/10.

I so love this scent! I really want a full bottle. Will have to save up! It is woody and spicy and creamy on my skin. Doesn’t last at all though on me. I’m in love though so I might have to buckle down and get it anyway! Really gorgeous. I’m surprised by it. Beautiful.

After having this for one year, and I only used like 5% of the whole bottle, I realised that i don’t like it anymore. As it turns out very very masculine on me every time I wear it. Ready for a swap if anyone is interested.

I recently tested this at Nordstrom’s . It is quite lovely ! It is well balanced and versatile in the settings it can be worn , as well as distinctive.
The biggest SHOCK was that the test strip I bought home ended up in the laundry . It was in my pocket and survived washing and drying . This will be hard to believe , but I could CLEARLY smell the Tom Ford scents ( I also sampled Tobacco Vanilla ) after they had been washed and dried!! I could not believe how good they still smelled.
Today I sampled Dior Addict , since my old bottle is almost gone. I was a bit skeptical after reading recent reviews of the latest formula. I sprayed it and two hours later could smell NOTHING . The price was $140 at Dillard’s and I am so glad I did not purchase on the assumption that the bottle looked the same .
I think some of the well known houses feel they can short change the customer with value and performance because of the respect for past creations. These days consumers can communicate with reviews and a less than stellar performance can be identified .
I am impressed with Tom Ford’s commitment to quality .

Holy grail perfume! I avoided it for a while due to the price and the fact that I generally don’t like Tom Ford branding or perfumes. I have a soft spot for this. It is a glorious, initially spicy sandalwood that lasts for hours, with a creamy sweet drydown on me. I quite happily pick up quite a lot of the benzoin and ylang-ylang after about six hours. Like a review below I also get a hint of coconut. Projection is moderate which makes it versatile for everyday use and means it is never overpowering.
I turn everything quite sweet so luckily don’t get too much cumin or ‘sweat’ from this – although I would say only a couple of spritzes are needed at most. Less is more! For me this leans feminine, as on a man over application could lead to a sweaty impression.
Much more elegant than Santal 33 (which I think leans more masculine) and less confused than Santal Majascule for me.
I find it alluring, sensual and comforting, and it feels like a second skin. Gorgeous. I’m obsessed! I would quite happily smell like this for the rest of my life.
Edit: I don’t get the negative comments about longevity – this doesn’t budge for me and completely changes after a few hours. I actually love it best 6+ hours in. Soooo creamy!

Absolutely love this one. Santal wood is strong but creamy and you can feel the spices too. This fragrance is alluring, mysterious and really sexy. Finaly strong scent for a distinct personality. Hope will be never discontinued!!

the SKANKY STANKY sandalwood ! adore. and it is what makes this sandalwood the Glamorous Broad of sandalwoods, shrouded with satin and leather, sitting in a darkly lit vinyl booth with a cocktail. there is something very 70s about this–if not in its scent trend, then in its general vibe (though i do think the hint of ylang ylang helps make that connection to the era). clearly, to me, the musk and carraway give it the stank that make santal blush fully carnal, none of which takes away from it’s beauty — it enhances it, it is *real*.
i don’t wear this one enough, as i fear of running out. a real treasure.

This is absolutely addictive! I typically struggle with strong sandalwood notes so I approached Santal Blush with trepidation- it was an instant love. The sandalwood is smooth and dry, the spices are smoky and vibrant, and it’s utterly sexy. Lasting power is what you’d expect from a Tom Ford- about 14 hours. Sillage starts out a bit bombarding, but softens to arms length within an hour. Overall, Santal Blush is luxurious, intoxicating, and completely justifies its high price tag. It’s gone straight to the top of my favorites, maybe even signature-worthy! I’ll definitely be repurchasing if my bottle ever runs out.

I’m on my second bottle of this and have one ready to go after it’s done. It only works in warm to hot weather and lasts for hours and hours with a sensual trail. It clings to surfaces so if it’s your signature your whole world will smell of it. It’s dry and musky/cedar-y with toasted spices after a milky start. I do get the fenugreek and a hint of cumin, but it’s not overwhelming to me and adds the right hint of sex appeal. It’s so bloody expensive that it should be a crime, but the quality is pretty amazing. Compliments abound when I wear this one.

Tender. Tender like rosy petals, underneath your ivory complexion I can see the violet veins.
    It smells like Aphrodite’s skin.
Delicate Sandalwood provides the main structure, some vague floral hints adds a touch of color, the benzoin underneath breathes in the warmth of life.

This is a very nice scent . Something about it smells like a well broke in saddle lol!
So far I have really enjoyed all the Tom Fords scents I’ve tried! The only thing I do not like about them is that they don’t last very long and are not the greatest at projection! It must be the sandlewood that I’m smelling in this one that makes me think of leather . I don’t see leather listed in the notes but I can smell it 🙂 this is one you need to sample before buying a bottle , I can see a lot of women not liking this scent it’s not at All floral or fruity! Anyone know of a similar fragrance that might last longer?

In this perfume, I also get a smell of coconut. The strange that the company did not mention anything about it.

On my short list for purchase in the Fall. I’ve been sampling Santal Blush for over a year and I even like it in warm weather. Tom Ford is very generous with their mini spray bottles as I keep returning for more (thank you very much!).
This is one of my favorite TF’s… and one of my favorite exotic sandalwood fragrances EVER.
Alluring, hypnotic, evocative and quality are all good descriptors. This is a sexy beast in a bottle, there’s nothing blush about it. A must try for anyone who loves warm exotic spices and wood notes.

The first time I tested this, it hit my nose like pencil shavings and cumin. The second time, I got a soft powdery cloud, with a warmth and depth I wasn’t expecting. The drydown got more beautiful as it faded. Longevity was 2 hours, but I only dabbed it on.

  18. :

I love this scent. I don’t own it yet but I keep asking for samples to make sure I really like wearing it given the cost.
It’s creamy, it’s spicy, it’s *imo* barely oriental, but it does have those touches.
I went out of my way to purchase (the very cheap) Adam Levine scent that is listed as a dupe. It’s not even a smidgen close IMO (in comparison there’s no spice or cream, it’s a lot less lasting and a lot sweeter/less complex).
It sucks that Santal Blush is SO expensive and that there aren’t smaller size options. It’s not something I could ever wear daily, but it’s a great sexy, warm date night scent.
I keep coming back to it. I’ll probably be #samplesforever too.

Best traditional Chinese medicine vibe fragrance.. exactly like the smell when you decocting a mixture of Chinese medicinal herbs. Balsamic and very bitter. It’s just strange to be a fragrance on people, but I have to admit it’s also strangely addictive, as long as you won’t be forced to drink the bitter stuff. Lol. “Drug” power I guess….

  20. :

It is creamy, buttery, warm, airy with just the right spices. Perfect blend, my dream signature scent, probably for any season.
    Definitely unisex.
Edit: I used to be bothered by the incense , looks like it’s benzoin, but I got over it somehow because I really, really beleive it’s a unique fragrance.
Also lots of compliments even when I can’t smell it anymore.
I can’t find any similarity with the scents mentioned above.

This is one of those fragrances where I wasn’t sure what to expect even after reading all the reviews. This is the first time I’m sniffing a perfume with all the scary Indian spices that people tend to shy away from, cumin especially. I tried to keep my expectations in check because of the ‘curry’ mentions, regardless of Tom Ford’s popularity.
Upon the initial spray, I was disheartened because I thought I bought Tam Dao in a much pricier bottle. The sandalwood was, at first, exactly the same: an olfactory replica of the inside of a nice wooden box. SB’s sandalwood is creamy and offset by dry spiciness throughout its wear, making it distinctive in texture and more dynamic than Tam Dao. When the fragrance dries down, all the spices lurking in the background come out to play. Cumin was the most noticeable one to my nose–this is the note that screams CURRY in Santal Blush. If you’re wondering what this smells like, visit any Indian restaurant in your city and inhale deeply. That’s basically what the spices smell like here. It does dip into a realistic Nag Champa smell sometimes, and this is when it least reminds me of curry.
Sounds frightening, yes? What saves Santal Blush from smelling too much like you just ate tikka masala is not only its dominant sandalwood, but also its soft sillage. It’s a skin scent suggestive of Indian spices that never cloys. I grew to appreciate this fragrance more when I wore it on a walk during a windy day: I got wafts of well mixed warm woodiness. Santal Blush smells much better smelled from afar and without thinking about it too much.
That said, Santal Blush is a strong like for me, but it isn’t my favorite Tom Ford fragrance. I think there are so many other spicy wood scents for a lower price point that smell almost as nice as this, unless you really want a luxurious sandalwood. I appreciate Santal Blush for its ingenuity, though.
P.S. Like most woods, I consider SB perfectly unisex.
EDIT: Santal Blush grew on me A LOT over these past couple of months. I reserve it for cold days, especially if it’s raining. I find the spices warm, comforting, and sensual. It’s a special perfume.

After reflecting on this fragrance for several months & feeling it’s masculine energy for some time I have decided against its masculinity and have been pulled towards its total femininity and strong desirability on a women. It’s so soft and sweet and those connotations just don’t play well with a strong warm male.

I agree, this does not need any gender specifics. It’s magical on any body. It’s sandalwood. It’s soft, intoxicating, gentle, alluring. Skin scent. Does not shout out, but sends out gentle waves of comfort and spicy allure. I really like this one but as I am finding out, most of the Tom Fords that I am trying this year have about a 2 hour longevity on my skin. Sad. I would purchase so many if not for this issue.Even if I did go broke doing so. This one must go on your list of ‘Must smell”. Gorgeous!

    MASCULINE OR FEMININE?
That seems to be the main bone of contention about this fragrance for Fragrantica members discussing it in the thread on this page.
I feel it’s such a pointless argument; not only because I think scent is a largely genderless concept anyway, but because sandalwood has always been a unisex ingredient in perfumery. Hundreds of years before it was being used in Western alcohol-based perfumery, sandalwood was being used as the base of Arabic attars. The mukhallat traditionally is a blend of rose, oud and sandalwood and other spices such as cumin and saffron, and can include additional florals such as jasmine oil.
To some extent, this fragrance is part of that tradition. The top notes are all spices: cumin, cinnamon, carrot seeds and fenugreek. The heart notes are classic florals; jasmine, ylang-ylang and rose. The base is woody and balsamic: Australian sandalwood, cedar, benzoin, musk and oud.
I don’t know why it took me so long to discover this fragrance. I honestly think it’s the most beautiful, classically inspired and largely “natural” smelling of all fragrances in the entire line.
Don’t get me wrong. I have no beef with synthetics and adore the effects they achieve, but on occasion, when you smell a fragrance like this which is largely rooted in naturals and their traditional scent profiles, it can be a very grounding experience.
Santal Blush is warm, cosy, quite dry and earthy because of the way the spices modulate the sweetness of sandalwood downwards. The florals emphasise the natural character of sandalwood (creamy, radiant, somewhat rosy!) and the basenotes anchor it, offering longevity and emphasising the very woody nature of the composition. Right at the end of the wearing, that oud molecule is slightly noticeable and is really rather good. This composition is tight and very classy! Don’t expect nuclear sillage. As anyone who has worked with natural sandalwood oil will know, it one of the more discrete woods and the same applies to this scent. The name “Blush” was very apt, as a gentle hazy cloud is created, rather than a loud, piercing shriek. This is almost like a second skin, sun-kissed after a day on the beach! Great, GREAT fragrance.

One of my favorites in the Private Blend line. To me this one is the most natural smelling in the whole collection. Which isn’t to say the others are bad, there are quite a few I like, but I appreciate that vibe in this fragrance. It’s very woody and soft floral. It is a bit powdery which I really like. This is great on a woman and on a man too.

After having lusted after this fragrance for the past two years, my boyfriend bought me the 50ml size as a Christmas gift.
I have never smelt a fragrance so unique and so special. It makes me feel sexy and feminine, but also like I’m truly capable of anything and powerful. It’s a deep creamy sandalwood with top notes of spices that with my skin chemistry blend together perfectly. The overall effect is very alluring.
I wore it for the first time at dinner last night and I kept catching wafts of it as I moved. The sillage and longevity are great and it’s definitely a love for me.

I absolutely love this one, the sandalwood is amazing and I simply cannot add anymore than others that love it have already said. I normally don’t like cumin except in food, and don’t smell it on this one but think it just adds to the warmth of the fragrance. Overall, I have agree with Martaynd’s (12/17) review, the men have this one, it does need one or two more flowery notes to be woman friendly. I think I’ll get it for my beau and “borrow” it once in awhile but only when layering with others.

  28. :

UPDATE: Too woody for my taste. To me, the masculine woodiness overshadows it’s softer, lush feminine facets. Too pricey to add to my collection to ALWAYS have to combine it with another to wear. Men, have at this one.
Dec. 2017 – Testing TF’s Soleil Blanc today. In the store I smelled the feminine range of this. That’s why I took a sample. But after a shower and applying it to bare skin, I am smelling much more wood and spice. Much more! I own Shanghai Lily and Jasmine Rouge. I’m wondering what I’ll get with a spritz or two of either of them with SB. I need it to take a step or two closer towards softer femininity for me. But I like it very much as a base. A place to start to build with another in the line.

  29. :

I agree with the review below. Except the masculine part…find this more feminine. The only thing that stops me from wanting this is the cumin. Boy do I hate that spice. Otherwise, this is stunning. Creamy, deep sandalwood. If you like the cumin note test this gem. Very beautiful and wears into the next day.
Edit: This stuff is gorgeous. Changed my mind. Buying a bottle.

This is probably one of my favorite sandalwood heavy scents that I’ve tried! I don’t understand why Fragrantica labels this as a women’s fragrance as I actually feel this is more
of a masculine-leaning unisex fragrance. Anyhow, this is very well put together the sandalwood smells nice and toasty, not overly raw or synthetic like I’ve smelled in some sandalwood blends. It’s a creamy, luxurious, deep sandalwood and I feel you can wear this all day and all night and get a great vibe from it. It wears pretty close to the skin, but then again I didn’t spray that much so I am wondering if a more generous spray would yield better results. I love the warmth and coziness that this one provides and as I’ve been wearing it all day I am starting to like it more and more. I will need to try it a bit more to really get a feel if this is fb worthy for me, but so far it’s veering in that direction. My favorite part of this fragrance is the combination of spices, and woods, with just enough brightness to allow this fragrance to shine. Will continue to wear this today and post my thoughts!

    Good Gravy!
I’m always interested in trying sandalwood themed fragrances, so it stands to reason Tom Ford’s beautifully named Santal Blush would call to me sooner or later.
What I did NOT expect? I have already smelled this… more than once! To be exact, Santal Blush is at least 95% similar to a humble little Nabeel attar I own, ‘King of Sandal’. It is also strikingly similar to Adam Levine’s fragrance release. Before bleeding your pocketbook, please sniff one or more of these smell-alikes. Take your pick, both are light and creamy renditions of the same sandalwood theme presented by Tom Ford, and the only thing they are lacking is the fancy bottle. 😉
Long Live Sandalwood, and here’s to more fragrant sandalwood discoveries down the road….

  32. :

This is not a clear sandalwood as by kilian sacred wood. Sandalwood is the main player, but you can also feel many other notes are backing it up. While sacred wood is a minimalistic fragrance with the smell of pure sandalwood, santal blush is sweeter with multiple tones and deepness. I guess its leaning a bit on the feminin side compared to other sandalwoods I have tried, but its perfectly unisex. Its a very beautyful, soft and kind fragrance. It has the energy of a buddhist putting her palms together and welcome you with a bow.

  33. :

Don’t let the “blush” in Tom Ford’s Santal Blush perfume fool you into thinking this is a shy or retreating scent. It’s more of an exploration of the multi-dimensionality of the buttery-beautiful sandalwood note.
Like looking at a cross-section of cut wood with its repeating but differentiated rings, sniffing Tom Ford’s Santal Blush provides an olfactory version of similar-but-different reverberating facets of sandalwood. It opens with a creamy, almost coconut-y and even fig-fruit richness. Bold Indian spices of cumin and cinnamon give Santal Blush a temporary hot-and-heavy feral energy. As carrot seeds and fenugreek add a vegetal, waxy depth, chic, sandalwood calls in its reinforcements: cedar and oud, softened by musk. Soft, spicy, creamy, and sexy, Santal Blush is more forward than its name.
    Santal Blush Notes
Indian spices, cumin, cinnamon, carrot seeds, fenugreek, jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose, Australian sandalwood, cedar, benzoin, musk
    Projection: 8/10
    Longevity: 7/10
    Uniqueness: 9/10
BTW: I own one and a guy can definitely wear this.

    Sandalwood with heavy spice…
So, this is a great example of a sandalwood fragrance. I cannot deny that it’s not well made, I just question the direction of the overall fragrance. So I do get the sandalwood (a dry, smooth variation, not a creamy one) combined with pepper, cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, caraway, fenugreek etc.
To be completely honest, this reminds me of the Serge Lutens style of perfumery, which begs the question… why not just buy a Serge Lutens perfume? Again, why pay the price for an “exclusive” Private Blend when another house is the master of this style of perfumery? There are so many Serge Lutens fragrances that have perfected this style and are more available, accessible and better priced than a Private Blend. This doesn’t mean that Tom Ford doesn’t make amazing stuff, just that not every Private Blend fragrance can be justified.
Having said that, judged purely on it’s own merits, this is a good and very well made fragrance. If you want to pay for the “luxury”, packaging, presentation, or “exclusivity” of this, then go ahead… I would say that for what is trying to be achieved in this fragrance, Serge Lutens does better. Definitely one to try in any case, just to find out how you like your sandalwood done in a perfume.

Here is the thing.. While I do not like Tom Ford, there is no denying he makes amazing fragrances. Ones that are one of a kind and stand out in today’s world of candy yum-yums. For me, I go back and forth between this is too powdery for me at times, and other times..this is simply gorgeous…
While this is beautiful, I think this is definitely one of those fragrances people either really love or…really dislike. I feel the woody notes and powdery notes can be too much for some. Longevity is not great with this, this disappears from my skin in less than 3 hours; not even a skin scent, but completely disappears.
This migrates between being a classy mature fragrance and at times pulls through as very unisex, shifting back and forth, seemingly not being able to decide if it wants to be classy mature woman or unisex. There is also a great relaxing, soothing, comforting, touch of warmth to this. Great for Fall/Autumn months.
This is a total masterpiece, a timeless classic, and imho not like Adam Levine’s frag (although both can give me a headache and I can’t wear either of these all day). This has a smoothness, and Levine’s is a little screechy imho. And while Santal Blush is so very unique, I do not think this is office safe or crowd friendly. I see this as a great date night frag (where you won’t be in close quarters with a lot of people) or just sitting by the fireplace, relaxing, sipping your favorite tea or hot toddy.

  40. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t know what to think of it. I think it’s underwhelming.
Very similar to Tam Dao, I don’t know why it’s not on the list. My problem with them is that they don’t smell like real sandalwood.
But I get that natural essence (either indian or australian) with it’s intoxicating smell, would be too expensive to use. They both end up smelling more like a…paper. They are nice enough and easily wearable by both sexes though.
    No similarity to gourmand Levine.

A very nice sandalwood. Reminds me of a creamier, less sweet version of Serge Lutens Santal Majistique. But be warned. This can only be truly appreciated by the fragrance connoisseur. Like somebody else noted, this is not a first impressions friendly scent. Especially to the untrained nose. You have to brake them in.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

For the very first spray I get loads of sandalwood with a touch of spices in the background. Gradually as the dry down proceeds Santal Blush turns into a creamier smoother sandalwood . The fragrance projects quite well.
This is form what I believe a reformulated version which is even lighter than the original one and hence there are mixed reviews about the fragrance. Any one who is seeking Mysore sandalwood experience will be disappointment for sure.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

Like a twin of Serge lutens’ Jeu de peau which I can hardly bear.
Santal yes, but too much altered by fenugreek and spices.
One hour later I have a nice headache and the smell turned plastic or synthetic or… burnt car tyres covered with rotten something.
Really not my cup of tea!

I think this fragrance highly depends on your body chemistry and your taste. I am usually not a fan of sweet scents however this one is an exception.
When i first sprayed this, it smelled cosmetic powdery like. A bit like a pencil as well. However i am so glad i tried it again a second time as it warms up on my body it develops a gorgeous sweet spicy slightly woody scent. Now i can not get enough of this.
Having that said, i know people whom their body chemistry brings out the cool notes in a frangrance and this smelled horrible on them. Longtevity is amazing. I can get 12+ hours from this and till the next day sometimes as a skin scent. I wish it comes in a 100ml bottle, maybe a body oil/ spray / moisturiser.

    Scent – benzoin sandalwood musk.
Season/Time of Day – I prefer to use this one in the colder months, day or night.
    Projection – I didn’t get noticed, I didn’t get a compliment.
    Longevity – I get 8hrs consistently.

This does NOT smell like Adam Levine’s fragrance in the least…Please don’t be fooled by the numbers/votes…
TF Santal Blush is a sensuously warm and spicy fragrance that is complex, earthy, and polarizing…The wearer either loves it or doesn’t love it…
    For me, it’s a keeper because I love sandalwood…
Try before you buy if you have any reservations about how it’ll wear on your skin…

smelled this while living in paris and it haunted me. the cumin is gorgeous, the rose and ylang ylang so subtle that it becomes ultra familiar without trying. the color of the juice just makes you want to order more rosé; the smell is equally better in the sunshine. just glorious. but all of this adam levine frag comparison nonsense is just that—nonsense. ordered a bottle to check and threw it in the trash. don’t waste time, get samples, try it for yourself.

I’m so disappointed, I’m just getting sawdust.

I’m glad I only bought a few ml sample this is far too suffocating. Very heavy may be one of the musky base notes but after half hour I just gag and have to wash off. I also bought the Adam Levine to compare I think its nothing like it. Adam Levine is light citrusy with no lasting power. But at least it won’t make you gag and cheaper…

I own the fragrance, and the first day I attempted to wear it, I got a vicious headache that upon reflection, is because I hadn’t been wearing fragrances consistently and SB shocked my system.
The first few times I tried to wear Santal Blush, I almost gagged from its “spicy, roast pork” smell. I understand the negative/apathetic reviews here because it did NOT mix well with my chemistry back then. I felt like a walking cumin BBQ, minus the BBQ sauce and it almost made me throw up.
I revived the bottle a month ago and am SO GLAD I gave it another chance. With my skin now, it performs a wonderful dance and melds into a spicy, sexy, creamy sandalwood. If this fragrance were a setting, it would be in the 1930s: gorgeous, mature women in a dark wood-filled library, smoking cigars, wearing furs and perusing maps of the world to strategize their next overseas voyage. These women have no husbands. They are the very rare few female professionals of their generation– scholars, adventurers, smokers and lovers. The opening, much like their exterior, is harsh and at times bitter. But the wait is worth it; treat them like equals, wait 45 minutes, and they are warm, sensual, complex and highly stimulating.
To me, Santal Blush is woman power.

A woody delight housed in a classically stunning luxe Tom Ford bottle.
The sillage and longevity (great) are to be admired.
The fragrance is quite linear, staying true to its sandalwood heritage.
If you enjoy quality sandalwood as a soliflore you may fall in love with this niche fragrance.
Im getting too much powdery musk- Im not sure, perhaps a touch of something ultra feminine would have got this over the line for me.
I don’t shy away from resins, woods or spice blends but you’ll only find a hint of them here.
This might be fabulous layered with something else ?
This could be a signature fragrance for lovers of high quality sandalwood.
Suitable for any gender you feel like being today. (Unisex).
