Sakura of cherry blossoming is celebrated traditionally every year in Japan, as an overture to spring. New cycle is important not only to all citizens of Japan, but even wider. The new fragrance by Jo Malone is inspired by cherry blossom, gentle petals that seduce with fruity-sweet and romantic floral nuances.
Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom is composed of such notes that reinterpret cherry blossom in layers, among which we can detect queen rose, delicate mimosa, mandarin and bergamot. A powdery heart of the composition contrasts warm woody notes and sensual musk.
Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom arrives on the market on March 1st as ‘fragile, romantic and poetic performance of cherry blossoming’ – stated Christine Nagel.
The fragrance is available as 30 and 100ml cologne in glass flacons, decorated with pink ribbons.
Sakura Cherry Blossom was launched in 2011.

I was so excited to get this online and had it delivered the next day! A beautiful light floral scent that can be worn everyday and any occasion. The composition of both the rose and cherry blossoms are just amazing with the dry down lightly sweet and musky without losing the floral scent. This is much lighter than my other Jo Malone floral fragrances (Peony and Blush Suede and Red Roses) and I find more versatile to wear as the other two can be quite heavy to wear. The downside is that like all my Jo Malone fragrances, they don’t last long on my skin but sillage is pretty good. One of my new favourite scents!

I guess I’m more of a “citrus” and “woody” scent kind of gal as this fragrance really made me feel sick from the first sniff. It is more for young girls who likes fragrances from Victoria Secret’s or Abercrombie & Fitch. It is definitely not an appropriate wear for formal occasions or office. You WILL annoy people around you!

I dont know the original 2011 edition but I really like this years blue skies collection sakura cherry blossom. It reminds me the old miss dior cherie before it’ s renewed million times

Light, feminine,and pretty.Really captures the fragile
beauty of the short lived cherry blossom in full bloom.
Unfortunately, the scent is fleeting as well,5-10 min,
please come back! Alas,this was a limited edition,I have
to return to L`Occitane en Provence-Cherry Blossom,less
exotic,less expensive,but surprisingly longer lasting!

I love this perfume. It is light and powdery and oh so feminine. It is too bad it is a “limited edition”
and no longer available. I hope it comes back permanently.

Light and soapy. Easy to wear. Very demure. Young girl’s/woman’s scent.

This smells so pretty – a perfect Cherryblossom scent. It starts with a slight bite of bergamot that fades fast (which is good imo) and then a beautiful Spring Cherryblossom blooms and maintains, resting on a musky base. Really very lovely, but maybe not up to the task of surviving the winter months. A bonus though is that my boyfriend really likes it – whoever said men don’t like florals? 🙂
