PS: just to give you an idea about the complexity & overall vibe of this juice; its like a mixture of Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Versace Green Jeans and Ormonde Man.

One of the very best designer scents I have come across. This is brilliantly done by Edouard Flechier! Sparkling yet dark, fresh yet warm, manly, slightly fruity & sour, modern and uplifting! Gorgeous dark, sour freshness due to the yuzu, apple, anise and nutmeg combo with great woods in the dry down and a mossy, herbal vibe that lingers throughout this very well orchestrated beauty. Performance is well above average with very good sillage & projection and a longevity of up to 7-8 hours on skin, even more on fabric! This is a true stunner, perfect for all seasons, ages & occasions and therefore a good choice as signature scent! Amazing price vs quality ratio!!! I can only applaud, I have become a true fan of this juice!

I bought this scent on a whim – actually because of the very low price, fantastic & fun-shaped flacon, and the fact is, I love Yuzu as a note…especially when blended with a few other in this bottle. Plus, the underlying selling point – the nose behind it is Edouard Flechier (a brilliant perfumier). It did not disappoint. It is masculine, but in a modern, contemporary way.
Upon initial application, I am taken by the burst of freshness with an underlying layer of warmth. Perfumaniac offers a great review – kudos! The mandarin blends beautifully on top with a hint of apple and star anise (but nothing is too sweet here – and that is why this fragrance appeals to me). The heart of cyclamen (very key ingredient) along with the rosewood & nutmeg offer a nice middle that segues into a smooth dry down of tonka bean, white musk (perfect ingredient here – very clean), and just a hint cedar. Oriental Spicy is the group classification and I understand – but I would say it is a “Fresh” Oriental with a nice integrated dash of spiciness. Nothing cloying or overly synthetic. This really can be used as a perfect office scent, a clean gym scent or spray ‘n go bottle to grab before heading out the door – anywhere, virtually. As well, it would be perfect for a casual date, an evening with friends or just a couple of shots to feel fresh after a shower. I really like scents like these – you admire them for their versatility, as you don’t need to search for a time/place/occasion to wear it. When you want to smell “good” (ie. noticed), uplifted and not have to accessorize your wardrobe to fit your fragrance. This is button-down shirt, t-shirt & jeans and year-round…day or night.
I admire the composition as it is very well-blended and while the notes are apparent, nothing is too dominant or loud. Rykiel Homme Grey is an overall clean, non-offensive composition that has appeal to me. Solid scent and a recommendation to buy blind.
Update: After a good 6-7 spray initial wearing yesterday, I realized how soft and muted this scent is – not a lot of sillage, but a nice body/aura scent. Which, actually might make this a very good choice for an office environment – indoors and not too strong. I reapplied after 3 hours or so (another 6-7 shots) after returning indoors. I left my house on sunny but windy day (upper 60’s in California!). The scent had left me within a couple of hours – sadly. Previously, I was left with a clean white musk that had a bit of sweet warmth from the tonka bean. So, if you wear this in anything but warmer weather – make sure you either reapply it or stay indoors to really enjoy it. This will be better in the late Spring and Summer months I believe. I will keep the score the same until trying on a nice 80 degree (or warmer) day. Still great out of the shower or at the gym anytime!

This one arrived this morning and on first spray it was a charmer. Pulpy sour citrus and green notes opening up to sweeter more aromatic spices and finishing on musk and sandalwood.
It was a familiar smell though and I could not work it out. As I was about to walk out the door it dawned on me. This is Lanvin Oxygene for women or maybe even YSL Baby Doll!
Oh how disappointing. It’s not an exactly the same as these two but it has the same heavy, sweet cloying nature, almost gourmand but not quite. Grey is less soapy and floral with sweeter spices and overall more green and aromatic.
If you can’t find this for sample then see if you can try Oxygene for women and Baby Doll as they’re in the same vein.

This is very well assembled but ambiguous. Yuzu gives a bit of sourness; rosewood, orange blossom and cedar provide with balsamic but not too sweet sensations; then star anise, cinnamon and nutmeg add pleasant spiciness. It’s not loud but persistent. Stays rather close to the skin but when over-applied can be nauseating and slightly chemical. I like it a lot as a intimate scent but it can be easily worn year-round with light dosage during hot weather. Average longevity (6-8h) and average silage. Bargain for this price. 8/10

i bought this scent blindly and when tried it, i got the yuzu and orange notes, but the drydown smelt like red sour berries. still highly enjoyable and unique, imho.
