The name rouge always attracts me, specially when it’s about the house stendhal. The new fragrance of stendhal starts with a mysterious spicy aroma which is slightly masculine, but also sweet. I smell something like red pepper, but it’s not annoyingly spicy, rather it’s balsamic and sweet with tiny amount of patchouli. The scent is oriental, but honestly I didn’t find it fruity, or at least the mainstream fruity kind. For example it contains apple, but it’s nothing like nina or DKNY or some apple pie. Apple is there to smooth other strong notes.
In the perfume shop, this is a very distinct perfume, easily distinguishable from loads of others. I like the way it smells kind of androgynous which might be the characteristic of all of perfumes of the house. The sillage is nothing more than average, but long lasing.

I’ve found all the stendhal fragrances unique and of high quality, rouge divin is no exception
Vanilla us not very sweet here,it’s spicy vanilla with a fruity twist,as soft,as delicious and as powdery as I’ve imagined
The only floral note that stands here is heliotrope, which to my nose plays as powdery almond so rouge divin is a fruity oriental for me,spicy, nutty, powdery the same time.it’s warm but also fresh, very nice for fall, also wearable all around the year when it’s not very cold or very hot
Staying power is as great as other stendhal, projection is also very good, the only thing I don’t like about it is the bottle(though stendhal elixirs have very chic bottles)
