Smells just like J’adore! Roses Greedy is a sort of misnomer. It opens like a full bouquet of white flowers with a couple of red roses thrown in. I get a nondescript fruitiness after a few minutes, then the musk. I never smell any sugar, vanilla or benzoin as I was hoping for. This isn’t “gourmand fruity-floral” at all. It’s just floral to my nose.
Just like J’adore, Roses Greedy can be headache inducing due to the sheer strength of it. I really thought this would be a voluptuous, smooth candied rose but maybe I should have gone to Roses Vanille instead. This doesn’t smell like a true rose-focused fragrance to me. The roses are overshadowed by the rest of the floral notes, mostly jasmine. Rose is simply a supporting role.
Smells like a springtime wedding.
This should be sprayed with caution because not unlike most Mancera products Roses Greedy is beastly! Projection is outstanding and longevity is excellent. Mancera quality for sure. As with J’adore, I like the idea of Roses Greedy, just not in practice for myself.

Roses Greedy smells like roses mixed with the first Juicy Couture fragrance. By the way, my husband just said, that it smells like his mom’s perfume that she used to wear when he was a kid. And it was Gio! Tuberose. I knew it!

Fruity floral based on rose and jasmine. I personally prefer Byredo Rose of No Man’s Land, but I’d recommend trying both before picking between them.

I adore this gem! I have Rose Vanille on the way!
Must love roses. Very, very rose. Sweet, intoxicating, rich, syrupy rose. I just studied the notes and I’m not surprised there are more than simply roses in this juice. Vanilla, amber, tonka to anchor the flirty rose, jasmine, and current. The sweet orange and peach add to the character of this scent. I can see my fabulous mum mum, who lived in Youth Dew and Shalimar (but adored rose) wearing this, although she is no longer with us. Reminds me of bright sunshine days with mum mum shopping at I Magnin and walking across the sunlit parking lot, she in one of her sharp hats and polka dot dresses as she babbled about her proud Swiss heritage (she was from Glarus). Yes, it’s very different than her favorites, obviously, but it has a splash of sophistication combined with femininity and old fashioned pretty. Not old lady! Mum mum was style and class. But very cute and pretty in her youth…think comic strip, Blondie. A ladies scent or worn by a daring and elegant man!
I fell asleep with it on and it’s one of those scents that blissfully melts into skin, mixes with my chemistry, and becomes too good to believe! Mmmm. The vanilla (I’m a vanilla ho) comes out as a leading player rather than a supporting act and makes this juice just…so good.
Color: deep, rich, dark pink.

I had A very strange experience with both Roses Greedy and Roses Vanilla, which I bougth at the same time. Everybody here was delighted about this perfumes due to the sweet vanilla. When the perfumes arrived with the mail, I could’nt wait to try them.
I was so dissapointed! I got nothing sweet from both perfumes, so I stored them in my closet. All I could smell was something fresh, almost sour! Not even A Nice rose scent! Today the weither is beautifull, so I deceided to try them again and as soon I got the perfumes out of their boxes en pouches, I smelled that they have become how they are supposed to be!!! What A difference with the first time I tried them! There was the sweetness that belongs in them! I love them both!! Anyone here with this same experience?

I was introduced to Mancera and Montale perfumery about a year ago and have since added several scents from each line to my collection. Hands down my favourite is Roses Greedy. It is the most beautiful jammy, sugary rose I have ever smelled. It is super long lasting, more than 12 hours on my skin! This is one of a few perfumes I can still smell on myself through the day! Highly recommend this gorgeous scent to anyone who loves roses, musk and sugar.
kirill.drozd – :
Rose/floral bomb with a vanilla fruity base. Nicely blended but on my skin longevity is not the greatest. It leans more feminine but if you like rose than a male can pull it off. Not my cup of tea, but still a well blended fragrance.
S_N_O_R_K – :
Great scent. I have a sample. Sweet, fruity floral. When I smell it, I close my eyes and say Mmmmm.
It’s great but I won’t be buying a full bottle. It doesn’t have anything that makes me feel, “I must have this and smell it for the rest of my life.”

This perfume is a safe “crowd-pleaser”: you get noticed, it is not boring nor similar to anything else. You can really stand out of the crowd. I Think it is safe blind buy as well, both for those who like rose and those who really don’t care about the rose (like me).
For me this is a White-floral category scent: yes, you get a rose, but it is so gentle and almost innocent. Then you get some soft and feminine jasmine in the background (I hate jasmin after wearing Serge Lutens A la nuit). I feel the blackcurrant which gives a bit of zingy feeling to the scent. It is absolutely Beautiful, sensitive fragrance, very office friendly as well. Great longevity as well.
It reminds me of the latest Burberry London scent, but more round, soft and gentle. While BL can cost you 25€ and Mancera 80€, I would still prefer Mancera.

Omg!! So beautiful…
bauerpost – :
This was a blind buy for me and I couldn’t be happier! I own many rose fragrances but this is unique and distinct, it does not overlap at all with any of my other rose perfumes, or perfumes of any kind for that matter.
I’ve been wearing it for days and have only become more fond… its difficult to describe though. It reminds me of rose water distilled down to a syrup, thick and juicy. Not light and fresh like rose water actually is. Also there’s something slightly candy like about it. It reminds me of Swedish berries a tiny bit.
Super long lasting and with sufficient sillage to make me happy.
The most interesting thing is that my nose does not grow bored with it, I keep getting whiffs of it all day! Most scents I get used to and stop smelling after a few hours.
Not this!
Not too young or old, not too simple or complex. Not cheap, nor super expensive smelling. But still unique and not middle of the road. Fascinating.
Totally recommended!!!!

Roses Greedy Smells like Cherubs. Or kindness
To my nose this is a white floral fragrance. There are delectable notes in the opening (which I’m guessing is the greedy part) Coconuts, peaches and Roses de Mai really did have me huffing my own arm, could’n’t get enough. After I snorted off all the top notes I got nothing but jasmine. Not blinding white light jasmine, but far from subtle – You know, jasmine. Then, in the very model of a dry down; the notes mingled, dissolving into one another as they fell back; white musk & white flowers vaguely lingering not like a skin scent, but like an aura. .
igorius07 – :
A sweet, jammy rose on steroids… and I love it. This was a rare love-at-first-sniff, and from a blind buy, no less, after reading all the reviews here.
I wouldn’t call this fragrance particularly complex, but such a beauty doesn’t have to be. The word that comes to mind when I put this on is “exuberant.” Obviously rose is the star, and it’s the prettiest rose on its rosiest day, anchored by musk and amber, and a hint of vanilla. I also can detect the blackcurrant in this… I think it’s what lends some of the sweet jamminess. The base notes never take over, they just hold the balloon string in the background. Somehow there is also a sharp alcohol-y edge (not in an unpleasant way) that reminds me of Not a Perfume by Juliette Has a Gun. Must be ambrox… ISO E Super? It lends a bit of bite to this otherwise very sweet and round perfume. However, that note in particular reacts differently with everyone’s chemistry, making me wonder how this smells on others.
I wore this to a brunch on Sunday and a man I know exclaimed how good I smelled, and actually came back to give me a hug so he could smell me again. “Smell her!” he directed everyone at the table. It made me laugh, and I was reminded what a pleasure it is to wear a smell you honestly love that others also enjoy because it really works with your chemistry. This is that scent for me. I can see this becoming a signature scent – it’s already a star in my collection.
*edited to add: this smells so extremely similar to Montale’s Roses Musk. It makes sense since Pierre Montale nosed them both. This is exactly the same rose but RM is – surprise – slightly more musky.

Lovely rose. Feminine. Wholesome but not overly so. Somehow unique and still conventional. Nothing controversial. Definitely inarguably very beautiful.
Neither girlish nor granny-ish.

A beautiful floral scent, very bright with a beautiful rose! Sweet coconut notes, gentle touch of jasmine and inebriating vanilla give this scent an indelible imprint! From the powerful and modern wake,it leaves the mark. I love him, and I think that Roses Greedy will be among my favorite of Mancera, the rose I like,he is young, modern, fresh and floral… I am knowing the perfumes Mancera, I did not disappoint, I like ! The sillage is great, the longevity (12 + h). Beautiful!

Roses Greedy by Mancera is my holy grail rose fragrance! The roses in this are so lush and sweet, they smell absolutely divine. This fragrance is rather potent right when you put it on but it calms down and is so well blended that all the notes come through beautifully. Generally I avoid jasmine like the plague because it can get rather screechy with my body chemistry, but the jasmine in roses greedy is very prominent and initially a bit astringent , however; it without a doubt compliments the rose and keep this fragrance smelling fresh and not overly sweet . I can smell a bit of the peach and mandarin with more of the vanilla and coconut in the dry down. There is a gentle musk that encapsulates this whole fragrance and makes it smell alluring and feminine. I do have fond memories with this fragrance because it actually got my crush to notice me when we were out with our group of friends one night! The longevity and silage are amazing!

Unlike it’s sister (Gold Intensitive Aoud which is horrible disgusting and sickening perfume i hate it so much!!! ) this is so beautiful. I love it!
yarik – :
Certainly one of the better fresh rose fragrances I’ve tried that has unisex appeal, I now understand how Mancera Roses Greedy can be so popular. It’s unoffensive, not over-the-top floral nor too alternatively sweet to distract from the namesake note.
There are other minor elements mixed in (I can detect the peach, perhaps the the coconut in the opening, and mainly the musk in the dry down) but the overwhelming experience of Roses Greedy is a fresh bouquet of roses.
I like it very much as I believe it achieves what it sets out to do quite well, and achieves an agreeable, versatile fresh rose scent, though I’d mainly imagine this being used on warm weather days, not dressy enough for the night nor powerful enough for the colder weather.
Performance is okay, like Cedrat Boise, but a little unimpressive given the EDP concentration, though it’s at least priced more reasonably than many niche fragrances. Still, it’s a bit of a tough sell for the price ($160 for 120ml retail at Luckyscent, but $105 on BeautySpin).
I like it, but wouldn’t buy it–for those looking for a fresh rose scent, though, this could be a great reward.

Scent – rose & jasmine.

Roses Greedy
Isn’t this the prettiest rose you have ever smelled?
The first spray is a bright fruity scent. The fruit has some fresh green notes, the spices are smooth. The rose comes through quickly after the top notes. The fragrance is very sharp for a long time on my skin, gratefully it softens. The rose is gorgeous, strong and velvety. The soapy white musk is blending with the jasmine. I like the sweetness that comes with the peach, it is done just right, the peach has a tiny lilt to it, it adds a delicate a glow to the rose. The amber is very sheer, it adds a delicate warmth over the whole fragrance.
The longevity is really good and sillage is average. Roses Greedy is versatile, it can be wore at anytime by anyone. Thank you to the kind member who sent me a generous decant!
ziban – :
The best roses fragrance by Mancera, imho. I mean with the best roses by this brand. Loud enough roses. Dark pink roses:)
бобёр82 – :
This opens with a sharp, synthetic smelling jumble of flowers and fruits in which roses take the lead. Thankfully, I don’t get any coconut. If I’m completely honest, I’ve bought perfume at a discount store for $7 that is better blended and smells more expensive than this.
After about an hour or so in the scent calms down. But even once it’s no longer intolerable it’s still not very good. I’ll pass.
astif – :
I get a soapy rose with a splash of coconut water on my skin, quite smooth and velvety. I did not expect it to be soapy (maybe it’s the musk that’s coming off as soapy?). I am in love with Roses Vanilla but Roses Greedy is not for me, not a fan of soapy scents. My skin tends to amplify coconut notes so I’m not surprised I’m getting it here instead of the other fruit notes…the coconut note is just coconut water though, mildly sweet (though this scent is more musky than sweet), definitely not gourmand! Just good ol’ rose soap and coconut water…but it’s done well, it doesn’t smell synthetic or odd. Roses Greedy is mainly a safe, day-time clean soapy rose with a tinge of fruit, I would categorize this scent as ‘floral’. No idea where the sugar, blackcurrant or vanilla note went, they did not come through on me at all, I expected something ‘juicier’ when I saw those notes, so the muskiness/soapiness really threw me off. It is a moderate strength fragrance with moderate sillage and excellent longevity (10 hours so far). Do not blind buy expecting a gourmand rose! If you want sweet gourmand rose, Roses Vanille is the one.
landrb – :
I do love rose as a man in my fragrances… but rose blended the right way cartier d’un soir, Montale black aoud, Montale louban, aoud velvet but this fragrance is 100% feminine… I can’t see my self wearing this no way.
laleshiy – :
A rosey-Jasmine-vanilla scent with a sprinkling of coconut and a subtle suggestion of aoud? What’s not to like? Now, if you’ve read any of my humble reviews, you’ll know that I just don’t handle gourmands well. I find them headachy and after an hour or so I feel the urge to scrub like my life depends on it. However, as is the case with Roses Vanille, this is a very wearable gourmand scent. It’s a fruity-floriental with subtle yet noticeable sugary accords that are strong enough to enjoy but not but not strong enough to send anyone into a diabetic coma.
Another winner from Mancera! This house is fast becoming a favourite of mine. Seriously, the lasting power in these fragrances is incredible and I can spray at around 5pm and still smell their lovely scents when I get up. Roses Greedy is definitely the scent for those who want a more “adult” and more exotic alternative to the mainstream candy sweet gourmands.
eneniavutrata – :
Nope, another perfume where the jasmine really permiates the whole compositon on my skin. And it’s the super clean jasmine at that. I get a hint of rose, the rose is sweet and dry and would be nice if came out stronger and the jasmine was dialled back. A lot.
There are a few fumes with jasmine that I can handle, this one is not one of them unfortunately.
also, on a more curious note, the colder the temperature around me, the stronger and more metallic I perceive jasmine accords.

Got lots of samples from my local sephora store for mancera fragrances including this one greedy rose. Forget about fresh rose like cartier goutt de rose & foregt about rose water like paul smith, not even your regular rose vanilla fragrances because this one is diffrent. It smells like something I owned or my mother owned when we were younger, smells like thick cream & I don’t think it smells gourmand but at the same time it’s not spicy or caramel if you know what I mean. I can detect the coconut very clearly in this fragrance along with so many flowers. I tested this last night only once, one spray to the inside of my elbow cause I think it holds to the scent better & the test itself would be of course better as the one would know if the fragrance would suit him/her or not. For me as I’m a fresh fragrance type of person, I don’t think this appeals to me. You can always drop by my profile & see how my taste in fragrances look alike. I got many other mancera samples that I may test later & write a review about.

I do not like the rose fragrance for a man, but this is an exception. I find the scent very pleasant, never too sweet. It has character and is measured. The tail of amber is fantastic. Very good.
Minior – :
Does anyone know if this is made from natural ingredients? I have a coconut allergy, and I can cope with synthetics, but natural coconut breaks me out in hives.
12kvartal_club – :
The notes look very similar to kilian’s liaisons dangerouses or however thats spelled. Can anyone concure on the similarities?
E1982A – :
I expected a rose rich fragrance. Instead it has fruity notes which remind me of the Eau de Couture by Juicy Couture. The tuberose note is similar in this but smoother with roses added in rose greedy. The name is misleading as I expected a concentrated rose fragrance but if you love both roses and tuberose then this is worth trying. Wasn’t my cup of tea though.
Tishaan – :
It’s been a while since I’ve been so smitten by a perfume. It’s very potent peachy rose at first, and so well balanced in the drydown. I can’t pick out the coconut, which is fine with me. It is very feminine for being marketed as unisex (I mean, that could really include anything I guess.) I am desperate to get a bottle, but sadly $160 is a bit steep for me right now. One I’ll dream about for a while!
54306 – :
I had ordered a bunch of samples on line with the theme of rose, vanilla and almond, my favourite notes. My “sampling weekend” ended with Roses Greedy by Mancera and all I can say it that it’s the best of all the samples I got.
Now I can say I’ve tried several wonderful roses, from la Fille de Berlin to Mogador, from Rose Velours de Van Cleef & Arpels to Roses Greedy, and many more, but this is just glorious, so elegant, so feminine! Something I can fall in love with immediately!
It reminds me of something I cannot really put my fingers on, the rose is splendid, bright, joyful, rich, sexy! I was trying to figure out what the other notes could be, I could only detect a strong amber heart and base, but I couldn’t smell any fruit nor jasmine, I will try it again and see if I can get more notes.
On me it’s a strong and very sexy rose in a bed of amber, it’s delicious, rounded, kind of the perfect rose perfume to me.
Highly recommended to all rose lovers!

I was thrilled to smell this one (thanks to the generous fragrantican member who sent to me a sample), and honestly, I am no longer excited about rose fragrances and was beginning to feel they come out of favour with me… I was wrong!
This is such a lovely fruity rose: creamy, intense and sweet at the same time, but not synthetic. The drydown features prominent jasmine and musk. Great projection and longevity!
The closest scent that comes to my mind is Montale Roses Musk, but that one is more linear and without pepper-citrus tones.

Wow! This really hit my brain while I was at Exsence 2013, so you figure out how many great perfumes I had around. No matter, Roses Greedy won over many!
I didn’t expect such a rich note list because it smells very balanced and very well blended. Of course, it smells rose most of all, but it’s such a divine fresh-cut sensual and even spiritual rose!
Nothing like any other typical musty rose-scent or too fresh summer rose, this is THE ROSE for modern demanding yet romantic times.
I kept sniffing my hand all the time and I was in a bliss. Long lasting too, quite radiant but never invadent.
Dzhurilo – :
To my nose this is a sweet rose scent, really alluring, bright, attractive, very nicely done, I detect some musk, it is definitely sweet in the base, I can tell it is a well put together scent, it is unique , and I wouldn’t mind owning it. It develops nicely on the skin, fresh, smooth, warm, all at the same time, which a luxurious edge
Pretty creation, with good longevity, a plus for rose lovers, modern yet classy, can’t see a man wearing it though.
Update: I enjoyed the sample more than the actual bottle, my husband’ s verdict is tt it smells like bug pray, so not keeping it
pvid – :
First things first, the bottle is amazing! Very high quality packaging, I love that.
The smell is very floral fruity gourmand, but not like your usual cheap smelling mass production floral fruity ( Prada Candy, latest releases from Gucci, any type of celebrity perfumes which are great air fresheners, or Victoria Secrete perfumes which are even more cheaper kind of air fresheners etc ). No, this is a very sophisticated Floral Fruity Gourmand. You don’t smell much rose in here, but more of a Jasmine mixed with vanilla, amber and musk. It’s quite long lasting, even for me because my skin eats perfume in minutes, any perfume, but this one I can hold for about 2-3 hours on my wrist ( other perfume is less than an hour, even the niche kind ).
My first impressions of this perfume is that it reminded me a bit of the first Juicy Couture perfume, but more fruity and sensual, not as harsh as Juicy. But I’ve noticed this with other Mancera perfumes, in the beginning they remind you of something, but after several days of use you realize that they are a completely incredible perfumes and nothing resembles their smells. I’ve had that impression with Roses Vanille ( by Mancera ) in the beginning as well, then I just fell head over heels in LOVE with it and it became my signature, just gorgeous smell.
I live in US so these are hard to find, I found a couple of websites and I’ve been ordering from them( which are much more expensive than they usually are ) . I intend to collect most of the Mancera line, I already have three perfumes by them and ordered blind, loved all three, and now ordering my second bottle of Roses Vanille.
Mancera definitely is a very strong house, I have a feeling once more people discover this brand, it will become way more popular and more expensive.
I love Mancera more than Montale, I’ve tried several Montale fragrances and they just didn’t do anything for me, and I had no staying power from Montale. But Mancera, just WOW!
