Description
Cult Greek brand of Korres presents three fragrances for various moods. Their names are composed of names of ingredients which dominate the scents, and they arrive in the same glass flacons inspired by old pharmacy bottles. Minimalism and simplicity reflect on the form and colour. Unconventional design expresses bold, modern, elegant and utterly simple approach to creation of these three compositions.
Fragrant octaves change, ranging from fruit to spices, from woody accords to herbs. Rosewood, cyclamen, cardamom, jasmine, pepper, saffron and passion fruit are complimentary with aromatic compositions, balancing luxury and simplicity, classicism and modern style.
The first fragrance of the Korres trilogy is Rosewood Blackcurrant Cyclamen. Top notes will seduce you with rose, pink grapefruit and black currant, which open the composition in a sweet, floral and fruity manner. A heart incorporates rosewood, rose, mint, freesia, cyclamen, lily, while woody accords and white flowers intertwine in a base. This fragrance arrives in a flacon coloured in cyclamen nuance combined in a modern way with black, in amount of 100 ml EDT. Synergy of rose and rosewood creates contrasts with a warm and soft floral body, which enriches fresh and tart black currant blended with passionate red rose and feminine petals with a hint of greenery.
Rose Wood Blackcurrant Cyclamen was launched in 2009.

Gorgeous rose/wood/cyclamen/blackcurrant perfume! Truly beautiful…… I love it. It’s so feminine, so elegant and warm, woody and florally, sweet and fresh. Divine mixture. Perfect.

This fragrance by Korres is exceptionally beautiful. Floral notes consist mostly of cyclamen and some rose and smell so genuine and fresh. It truly smells like a flower garden after rain- naturally sweet and green. There are berry notes mingling with flowers that add just the right amount of “juiciness”, but still very fresh and natural smelling. There is also a very prominent woody note that ties everything together. This is the heart and soul of the scent. Overall I would describe this fragrance as a woody floral. Stunning and lush.

This one smells similar to Body Shop Moroccan Rose… A little more sophisticated because of the currant, but still has the same general idea. Like them both…

It turns out that I love this line. They completely snuck up on me. Oh this is gorgeous! Fresh and warm all at the same time. We are in the middle of a snowstorm and this feels perfect. It’s also a shoe in for a spring love.Summer? Oh yeah! Fall? Most certainly. This is an anytime anywhere appropriate scent and yet there’s nothing common about it. The notes are familiar and put together comfortably considering that there’s green in here. The green is pleasant and soft setting off the rose and fruit beautifully. The woods are there from the start and just warm up more as it dries down yet never losing the feel of freshness. Brilliant! I wish they’d make some new ones now……..

It opens somehow very, very special with burst of black currants and rose, fruity and floral, extremely fresh, but then the grapefruit hits and gives a little bit of that “air freshener” type of scent and on my skin it actually stays that way. It’s not that it’s a BAD scent, but this is so like WC air freshnerer on me that I would never dare to go out wearing this.

This is an experience of a fragrance-so many notes, blended together to smell like a walk through the woods, and through the garden-At first sniff I thought this was kind of dull-even if quite nice-but certainly well-made.
It took me a few wearings, but the natural harmony of the flowers, the hint of mint, the light juiciness of the blackcurrant and the hint of pepper that makes this utterly soft and agreeable make this scent more personally pleasurable to wear.
Fresh and feminine, indeed-I have to thank the Gods and Goddesses for the existence of companies like Korres, who use all-natural ingredients-This one isn’t sharp, soapy or powdery-all are common complaints in regard to florals.
If you love the smell of spring gardens, but find most floral perfumes fail to bring any of the fresh and real flavors to your skin, you might like Rose Wood Blackcurrant Cyclamen. The sillage is rather moderate, but detectable, I think. The lasting power is very satisfactory for an EDT-lasts as long as several EDP I’ve tried-6 hours maybe, or even a bit longer.
If you are expecting something very edgy or exotic, you might be disappointed by this-but I have a hard time imagining anybody disliking this.
My only complaint is the name-I like how Korres and Le Labo are trying to be straightforward, making names for their fragrances out of the fragrance’s main ingredients-it works for Le Labo as a minimalist, modern scheme-but it’s tedious with Korres-By the time you get halfway through saying the name when somebody asks you what you’re wearing, that person will have stopped listening.

a very fresh, feminine scent.
the top note of rose is pleasant and kind of fruity, the base note is warmer and lasts surprisingly long. comparable to stella by stella mccartney just a bit more woody.
