I can’t really compare this fragrance to anything I’ve ever smelled. The opening is all about the wonderful true to life rose, there is some violet in there but it waits its turn until the body and drydown. The heart and drydown is all about the beautiful violet and some woods mixed in. I love this fragrance for the amazing notes and the fact that it is so pretty and innocent. I highly recommend giving this a try if you enjoy rose and powdery notes.

This is a fresh, non-fruity fragrance, much more violet than rose for sure. The violet is not like Balenciaga Paris, Guerlain Insolence, or Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose. VS Rose Violet smells a lot like the Marc Jacobs Daisy line of perfumes, which I enjoy, so this one works for me too. I actually think this bottle is a lot prettier than the Daisy line. However, I’m glad I didn’t get a full bottle of this one, just a purse spray that was 40% off.

Oh, Victoria’s Secret gets me every time..their display for this in the store was absolutely beautiful and I was lured over simply from that alone. I grabbed some cards and sprayed all four; smelled them all, threw away rose caramel (too sweet) and rose musk (too sharp) and sprayed both rose bergamot and rose violet on the back of each hand. I waited a few seconds and the rose bergamot started smelling way too green applet and sour, like a body spray someone overused in college. The rose violet, howe’er, transformed into a lovely powdery rosey musky aroma with a dash of brightness too it. These only come in 100ml by the way. The box with the photograph of the rose blooming amidst a black background is beautiful too, and I picked it up and didn’t put it down, walked to the register….
2 hours later I had very bad buyer’s remorse and decided that the powdery rose aroma that I initially got dried down to a rose scent I already had, lalique encore noir pour Elle. I decided it must go back. I am trying to limit my new buys only to those scents which make an olfactory impression that is original and something I haven’t come across before. Again, lovely scent, gorgeous packaging, but I’m afraid this may be a VS semi annual sale purchase if it’s clearanced enough!

I feel like this one has similar qualities to VS Angel Dream because it has a very similar note to it but with added beautiful rose. It’s a very lovely scent that I think a lot of people will enjoy!

I got a sample of this. Very airy and pretty. A good scent for a summer afternoon in the park.
