Just got this today on my birthday. I guess it is better suited for warmer seasons ( here we are in the middle of winter), but pretty wearable all the same. Sweet, crisp roses and the whole garden of Eden, so to speak. I will always think of my husband and how much he loves me whenever I feel this on my skin.

This scent smells quite synthetic. It is clear that it attempts to represent the smell of a garden or wilderness after a rain, or more like the smell just before the rain begins, but it is not realistic smelling. It has a room spray vibe to it.

I tested it at Le’Occitane store and I kinda like the scent. I let it sit for a while and did my round of shopping then I completely forgot about it. Its just when I got home that I appreciated the smell of this perfume like a flower garden with happy comforting smell. I can wear this for a year and not worry about headache or have too much of it.

I tried locating it on L’occitane’s website as SAs kept telling me that is where I should look for it, but no luck.
Did they discontinue it just like that? This is one of the very few fragrances I can never get tired of. As far as I know this is the BEST ROSE fragrance that my perfume loving nose ever smelled. It is not like Vera Wang in case any one is wondering. If I can by any chance come across with this baby, it will have to the first time in my life I will be buying at least 3 bottles!!
Today I have noticed that BR’s Alabaster’s finish smells VERY similar to this.

I’m trying to find a blend of rose, raspberry, and apricot, one that smells like a favorite rose bush. Rose & Reine was suggested.
I just received it by mail yesterday. And as someone not fond of “gourmand” scents, i never thought i’d say this, but on me it’s not fruity enough. There’s much too much bergamot and other citrus notes. And there’s not enough apricot, blueberry, raspberry, or red currant – at least for my purposes.
Otherwise, it is an interesting fresh rose scent, more bright than green. And it has more complexity than many standard boring “tea” rose scents. Definitely more sophisticated than the rather flat Stella Sheer 2008.

floral-fruity but not cliche. stays forever. fresh but not boring that’s for sure plus my hubby finds it very sexy 😉

Lovely, fresh and light scent of a rose garden after a spring or summer rain. Lovely and refreshing. Stays with you also.
