It was a blind purchase, unfortunately it does not work on me. All I feel is that one note, that smell which associates for me with a balming process, all day I felt like a walking mummy. Could it be the agarwood?

The oud in here is completely overtaken by the rose which is a tad too sweet. Good price though.
I suggest those who like this to try Al Haramain’s marwah which is even cheaper than this but with superior quality.

I think Smellyfaerie has already eloquently summed up most of my thoughts on this fragrance. An abstract rose with an oud kick. I would differ only on the comparison with Serge Lutens Sa Majeste La Rose. SL SMLR is definitely more rose dominated and I dont get leather or saffron.
Most definitely a unisex. Fellas who are confident can easily wear this as its not very sweet at all and there is lots of leather. I like it on me but it smells even better on my fella.

I believe my mother would love this…where might I find it? Thanks in advance!

There’s little, if any, oud in this fragrance. After the top note dissipates, all you get is rose(half green, half velvety).

After years resisting to jump on the oud wagon, I finally ordered this fragrance and I am glad I did. On me it smells like a clean, woody, abstract rose, along the lines of Serge Lutens Sa Majeste La Rose, less sweet and with an “oud twist”. I can detect some saffron in the opening, but it is not as strong as in L’Artisan Parfumeur Safran Troublant. As it dries down, it morphs into a soft leathery rose scent. Projection is very good (as Rudolfo512 said, go easy on the trigger) and the longevity is superb for something on this price range. Great bang for the buck.

I love fragrances with rose. Rose Oud EDP is a beautiful rose fragrance with oud, saffron and leather. Four simple notes that make this fragrance a power bomb. Go easy on the trigger since a little goes a long way. It lasts a very long time on me. The price, $45.00 for EDP. Wow!!

What a wonderful bargain fragrance! It smells really nice for $45. Notes are as listed – saffron (lots), rose and an oud like woody note – only I am getting some lemon mixed in there also. The fragrance is lightweight (actually like a lightweight version of a heavier fragrance) and could be worn year round. The leather note is extremely light to my nose. This is not a spicy fragrance nor does it smell Arabic. Believe it or not it bears an ever so slight resemblance to a light and less boozy version of Kilian. Keep the price in mind and don’t expect a total dupe or Kilian quality or anything (we are talking $45 vs $395). But if you like rose oud in general but not the usual price point for it, this a GREAT alternative. One of the best bargain buys I have found.
