It’s pretty nice fragrance, not very strong but very pleasant to wear.

I detect fresh rose and peony, which for me is a great combination, the peony providing a wee bit of acidity. Uncomplicated and direct.
If you are a fan of nearly soliFlore rose scents, you will like this.
Sillage is soft with three sprays and longevity is moderate. A true to nature rose scent, akin to TeaRose by Perfumers Workshop, as noted by others, but much softer.
While Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez have said that women have no business smelling like flowers, some times women want to smell the flowers, and this one is perfect for that purpose.

This is very pretty, like a watered down Perfumer’s Workshop Tea Rose. It is a green, crisp, sharp rose with lot of peony and freesia and a hint of musk. It is not jammy at all.

Oscar Rose smells a lot like Stella on first spray, but to me it’s a little fresher with the pear and freesia (almost minty). It’s a soapy red rose. I almost didn’t purchase this at Ross, but I’m glad I did. I really like rose, and I feel the Oscar Rose an office-friendly addition when you don’t want to wear a very strong rose like Chloe or Paul Smith Rose. It still leaves a faint trail seven hours after a heavy spray (it’s an EDT, and my skin eats fragrance). If you see it under $20 and like a clean-smelling rose, pick it up.

I have a difficult time smelling anything other than rose. Strong, plasticky, rose. I love the smell of roses and therefore I like this scent a lot. I wish that plasticky smell wasn’t there though. It’s a scent that I wear around the house or to bed and I feel like it cheers me up when I’m feeling blue. I like Oscar de la Renta Rose better than Chloe Rose because I can smell ONLY that rose note in Oscar and that’s what I want. Roses, nothing but beautiful roses.

Such a wonderfull Rose scent. I was very hesitent to buy this one blind .Roses can have so many faces in perfumes and i wanted somthing that realy smelled like rose. This one did not leave me brokenhearted . This is a True Pink rose , It isent a deap dark ofr very powdery Rose its rather fresh and slightly soapy . Not to much soap in any way . The balance is very nice . Its more on the cold cooling side of Rose . Not much warmth or darknes here .
A very nice scent fro Summer and spring . joyfull, vivid ,playfull and easy to wear . The scent is also quit long lasting .Not a very large sillage medium maybe . Lasts about 6-8 hours .
Rose is defenetly the star in this perfume with peony ,musk and a slight juicy fruit makes it feal like a pink rose. Heavenly scent . And a very good perfume for the money

I was looking for a rose. My favorite roses are Stella and Chloe de roses but my search continued. I found this at Shoppers for 20 which is a good price for a jem like this. When I first sprayed this, it reminded me of Stella. I thought to myself no! not another Stella. The perfume lingered and settled into a nice rose. Initial spay would give you the impression of rose water, but wait it develops into a beautiful rose. Be aware it’s only roses I smell. You have to be a huge rose fan to like this. Overall this a beautiful rose.

Wake up and the smell the roses! This was a hidden gem that i just got today along with the lotion and the shower gel for only 24.99 Can’t beat that. It smells to me like fresh cut roses crushed and dusted with some musk and whi te wood powder, very wearable! It does remind me of Vs so in love, but that one was more woodsy.
vlad_kadet_pkk – :
It’s a rose bomb!! Absolutely lovely… IF you like a lot of rose. Luckily, I do.
It opens up with a touch of green and A LOT of rose. Interestingly enough, the top notes of pear, freesia & lily of the valley are virtually nowhere to be found. It’s roses with a bit of peony all the way.
Once it dries down, the musk appears. The roses stay, so it becomes a lovely rosy musk – one of my favourite combos, so I’m very pleased.
The base notes are “white”… so it’s missing a bit of the warmth that you’d normally expect from woods and amber. Fortunately, they work well with the rose. Sometimes rose can be a bit musty, but this one stays fresh and bright due to its “white” base notes.
For $19.99 it’s a safe buy for rose lovers.

Thank you lizzyshreds. I’m convinced to blind buy this beauty after I saw your comment because I love both Roses de Chloe and Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. This perfume also reminds me of Jo Malone Red Rose because of it’s straight up rose scent. It is light and feminine. It is a little bit soapy at some point if you smell it closely but just very tiny bit. Longevity to me is about 4-5 hours.
PASTESAKE – :
To me this is a mix of Roses de Chloe, and Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Straight-up vintage rose scent. Authentic, real rose scent, the “real McCoy” here, so to speak..I do not pick up any other notes, except perhaps at times a very slight soapy scent to this. But such a soft beautiful real rose scent. Picked this up at Ross for $3.49 for a 3.4 ounce bottle. And to think I almost passed it up at that price. But honestly this is beautiful. Not a heavy rose, quite soft. I’ve been looking for a soft real rose scent..who knew this little gem that I almost did not plunk down a few dollars for, would surpass many of the much pricier counterparts for me..? I think this would be office-friendly, barring anyone has allergies, asthma, or other breathing difficulties. Not heavy at all, which I appreciate. Very strong like, bordering on love..

I think I’ve come full circle. I used to be very hesitant to buy rosy type fragrances but with the fragrances i have, i have more winter/fall type fragrances so I’ve been trying to find a fragrance for spring/summer.
I blind bought this at Ross the other day for $20 after glancing the reviews here.
i sprayed this on my arm once i got into the car and wow! I haven’t smelled a really fresh big rose in fragrance in a while. This smells just like the roses my landlady used to grow, it has a certain freshness and depth that smells like raspberries or jam in my mind. It may be unbalanced for some people that want more of a blended/composition type since for much of this fragrance I do get BIG FAT ROSE
I still get some musk and woods with this and bits of lily pokes its head through here and there.
On me, this blossomed and unlike other scents I didn’t have to bury my nose into my wrist to smell it. This just softly wafted about and though I didn’t have anyone comment on it, it was still projecting from one spray.
I live in a very arid and hot climate, so I’m curious how this is during spring or fall.
I really like this at the moment and maybe by the end of the week I’ll adore it. Ive been half joking I’ve been looking for my “summer goth” fragrance. Maybe this could be it.
(sorry if I’m rambling- again I haven’t focused much on rose in fragrances until more recently)
tl;dr if you want a juicy fresh rose fragrance for $20, this should do it.

This fragrance reminds me of Lush Rose Jam. It’s a soft dewey yet jammy rose with a hint of berries and a little citrus. I think it’s closer to Rose Jam than Rose Flash. Very feminine with moderate sillage and longevity. If you are a true rose lover you will probably love this one. If rose is not your thing stay far far away.

Just found this lovely fragrance yesterday at (sadly) one of those deep-discount clothing stores (kinda like a T.J. Maxx). Upon first spritz, I thought, “what does this remind me of?” And I think, for the moment, it reminds me of Sweet Love by Bodycology, but, obviously, so much better! It’s a very soft, ladylike (to address any unisex questions), quite-complex rose. My only other straight-ahead rose is the Persian Rose by Pacifica. I find it pretty, but really alot sharper by comparison. This fragrance is soft, fresh and sunny, but not cloying (at least not to me). The only thing is, once you get into the actual five or six hours-in drydown, there’s no rose anymore and it smells like April Fields by Coty, that sorta pungent cucumber, citrus + musk that I really don’t like. So, truthfully, the rose doesn’t hold well.

Very accurate description norgirl! Thank you,I knew I smelled vanilla too! Lovely one for summer.

Description i found for this beauty:
Oscar Rose is delicate, sensuous and gleeful floral fragrance for women. It features a rich combination of bold scents that combine to create an intoxicating aroma that’s sure to make an impression. This is an exciting perfume that any woman can enjoy and is the perfect scent to wear when you want to exude confident for any occasion. The composition opens with a rose. As it develops, the flowers become more intensive, revealing ylang-ylang, tuberose, rose and heliotrope at the heart. The base is composed of woody notes, Tonka bean, vanilla and musky notes

Am I the first? Identifying notes is not my strong point, but I’ll do my best. Oscar Rose opens with a lot of rose and a little bit of berries. As it settles I get a soft spice (maybe the tiniest bit of licorice or anise?) There are some other floral notes, not pronounced enough for me to identify. Soft wood and warm musk underlay the rose but are never prominent. It stays very rosy for the entire duration, but isn’t linear because the surrounding notes shift. On me it lasts 4 or 5 hours. The sillage is low but I only do one spray. Sometimes its gotten a bit soapy after the first hour, but a nice soap. Solid ‘like’ for me.
