went on alcohol and jammy grassy rose then a hint of another floral came in with a hint of vanilla and saffron then as it dried down the musk rose up
intimdosug – :
Powdered Saffron- Amazing!!!
bop-zek – :
Rose Kashmirie initially smells jammy and edible, a little similar to my favourite Pousierre de Rose by the same house. The heart of Rose Kashmirie is sheer, musky in a clean way, almost like a rose water scented silk scarf.
koljan – :
I’m a tad surprised by the amount of powder people are getting from this beautiful rose. On me, yes, there is a little powderyness in the opening but overall it’s not really dominant.
It reminds me very much of Yves Rocher’s long discontinued and much missed Rose Ispahan, especially in it’s syrupy jam-like qualities.
What makes this really special is that it’s an oriental rose full of resins and spices that isn’t noticeably a cash-cow created for the Arabian theme loving customer. Whilst every company is releasing an oud or saffron rose predominantly designed to radiate for at least 6 miles, this one is a subtle and refined version of what is an often a gaudy genre.
You wear it, it doesn’t wear you.
Beautiful.
Appoveaxiox – :
Oh. My. Lord… Like the reviewer below, I just didn’t register the powdery-ness of this perfume.
The various notes listed are almost irrelevant, as basically the structure goes like this:
Topnotes – powder.
Mid notes – powder.
Basenotes – powder.
There is a little rose there too, and a little spice, and the overall effect is certainly warm, and quite balanced in it’s own sweet, powdery way.
Definitely a winter fragrance, as it would be too warm and too smothering for warm weather.
This is a well made, lush fragrance… that absolutely is not for me! 🙂
alvido62 – :
I wish I had believed the comments below about how powdery this fragrance is. It’s an absolute powder bomb (with a little bit of spice and maybe one or two faint rose petals buried underneath), which is lovely if that’s what you like. It’s not what I like. I didn’t get any darkness or warmth out of it at all. I imagine that when people say they don’t like rose fragrances, this is the kind of old-fashioned (or old-ladyish) fragrance they have in mind. In my experience, that heavy powdery note seems to be common to all Rosine fragrances, even the masculines. I’ll just avoid all their fragrances in the future, no matter how enticing they sound.

In my mind is the perfume of a Beauty Powder,on a grandma vanity table,
Rose & Saffron give it a sort of a oriental but Classic accent.
bdthcrfz – :
Rose Kashmirie opens spicy and a little boozy on my skin.
I could swear there is some rum among the top notes.
It settled down into a warm and comforting rose that melts with a delicate balsamic and woody touch of some saffron, myrrh, amber and benzoin. Yummy <3
Longevity around 4-5 hours, but still worth a try for rose fans!
fuffCYcle – :
My first reaction upon spraying this was “mm just like a sweater!” It opens quite powdery, followed by a chorus of pink roses, making it sweet-smelling, almost fruity. There’s also a whiff of myrrh and saffron, but in the early stages, it sits much closer to the skin.
Rose Kashmirie then makes a slow transition into a creamy, spiced-up pink rose, all while retaining that powdery feeling. A resinous feel crops up along the way accompanied by a rich vanilla. 1.5 hours in, and this is a full-blown oriental rose. Vetiver lends some body to this sweet-spicy powdered rose. It never becomes too sweet or too spicy – remaining always light and carefree, but with a touch of mature femininity.
PdR Rose Kashmirie is a beautiful jammy powdery rose in a bed of spices. Quite oriental and bold with some depth, but inoffensive. It’s sensual, juicy, and very feminine, but interestingly, I find this easy to wear. Definitely a crowd-pleaser.
This one sits comfortably close to the skin, so it almost seems like it is projecting from within the wearer. Longevity on me wasn’t too good – it only lasted around 3 hours on my skin.
sumerkinaoy – :
A pink rosy scent swirling with the smells of spices and incense. I would say this is an interesting rose, along the lines of other spicy roses like Poivre Rose by The Different Company, Epic by Amouage and Noir Epices by Frederic Malle. Poivre Rose was too spicy in the opening for my taste, Epic and Noir Epices differ in style, Epic being more arabic and Noir Epices reflecting a more french style of perfumery. Rose Kashmirie despite its name, leans towards the french style of perfumery in my opinion. The spices and incense are present but turned down and do not overwhelm the rose. Towards the drydown I found that it turned slightly powdery and more woody. It has a soft sillage but a good longevity of over eight hours.
Effermore – :
This review is based on a tiny decant. It’s a soft creamy sweet rose with touch of saffron. Moderate projection and longevity on my skin.
alex0805 – :
This is a lovely high-quality rose. Tonally, it’s smooth, sweet and spicy, a little bit on the bright side. The saffron note is intriguing to begin with. The sillage is soft, though. I can recommend it to any rose lover as being the in the top tier of rose scents, and even to those who don’t always enjoy rose but would like to have a good, well-behaved and wearable rose perfume for the times they desire to wear one.
It’s very light though. To me it becomes a skin-scent within half an hour. If I was gifted this perfume I’d be very happy, but I won’t purchase it myself. Kashmirie is not strong enough for my personal taste, although I can think of others I know it would suit well. I will continue to sample other fragrances from Rosine, because I was so impressed with the great quality of this.
It’s wintertime in Canada now and I’ve sampled it again. The myrrh really comes through and gives a it a richness and depth I didn’t notice before. This is now on my “want” list and I will purchase it if ever I can’t get another bottle of Keiko Mecheri’s Attar de Roses, which is my favourite rose but very, very hard to find where I live. I’m enjoying wearing this around the house while I fold laundry and continue decorating my Christmas tree!
untofeste – :
Utterly stunning !!!
My 2nd fave in the de Rosine line. This is very luxe, very warm and rich
(maybe the benzoin ? Welcome in almost any balmy perfume)
It really is a cashmere-type scent. This is a comforting , specialty scent.
Perfect herby woody heavy rose scent but crafted with finesse.
Lovely – original, captivating.
The saffron adds a unique touch in a market full of generic rose perfumes.
Very good longevity and moderate sillage.
I get cocooned in splendid wafts of this beauty every hour.
immizintoda – :
A very “easy to like” perfume, spicy rose combo, not too sweet, not too loud, just very crowd pleasing. The rose here is soapy (funny, in all perfumes I’ve tried by this house, the rose is always very soapy, no matter what are the other notes, pitty)and almost sour/metallic. Yet again reminds me of Bulgarian rose oil my grandma used to bring back from her travels.
Anyhow, even though this is yet again not working on my skin, it is ok. As I said – very crowd pleasing, smells though a bit out-dated. I’d gift this to my mom as I know she is in her 60ies, loves rose and doesn’t really care about the depth or uniqueness of the perfumes she’s wearing. I might say – a safe blind gift to mature ladies.
Diathylabbabs – :
A rose base infused with a heavy dose of vanilla, spices and sandalwood. The effect is a comforting, exotic and sensual combination similar to the effect of a cashmere shawl. The word “opulence” comes to mind. The power and beauty of petals combined with spices is enchanting. It is both a unique and compliment-attracting scent for both daytime and evening use. It comes with a hefty-price tag, but you are likely to notice the ingredients and lasting power of it to be a notch above the usual commercial line.
Glifilatoesee – :
I wasn’t really expecting to like Les Parfums de Rosine ROSE KASHMIRIE, as its name reminded me of the spice-cabinet perfumes I’ve tried in the past and never really fallen for. As predicted, I find ROSE KASHMIRIE to be wearable but not compelling, a somewhat uninspired perfume with lots of spices and rose mixed together in a rather haphazard way, composed perhaps with the enthusiasm of an obligatory homework assignment. You win some, you lose some.
The notes of ROSE KASHMIRIE are of the indisputably high quality I’ve come to expect from the house of Rosine, but I just don’t find this particular composition that great. It seems a bit flat, overall. This is definitely more oriental than floral, with a dark, dense component—almost styrax-like—dominating the perfume. Although saffron numbers among the notes, it is not clearly detectable to me in this composition—nothing like CSP Sultan Safran or the AP saffron perfume.
ROSE KASHMIRIE is perfectly respectable, but it doesn’t really compete with the many superlative contenders in the congested category of floriental perfumes, many of which unfurl in delectable layers throughout their development. There are literally dozens of oriental perfumes that I’d reach for before this.

I read a review about this niche line of fragrances and went to their website to see if I could get samples. Voila! I recvd the 15 sample packet, and ordered the remaining six. I am in love with the all, and look forward to trying a new one or two each day! So far, my favorite is ‘Rose Kashmirie’-very soothing and cozy. the fragrance lingered all evening, a constant companion!
marlok – :
Heavy, heady oriental rose; powdery without being soft, this is a rose drowning in saffron, sandalwood and benzoin. The opening wants to give the impression of fresh, but really it isn’t. It is very much suited for nights of passion and mystery. Could easily be taken for one of those Montale concoctions that just take you to the Middle East and don’t let you come back to the real world until you wash them off. Very powerful, and beautiful, opulent and rich. Not for the faint of heart of those just flirting with the idea of a rose with an oriental hint.
I love it, and this is exactly what I have imagined Maitresse from AP to smell like. But that one is only a shade of this. oh well. This is for a woman who knows what she likes and wants, and she is not afraid to get it; she also doesn’t care what others think of her, and loves exotic and out of the ordinary things; actually, she enjoys people talking about her, behind her back…. good, bad…. who cares? any publicity is good publicity for her!!!
Oh, I definitely recommend this one! 10 out of 10. Silage, lasting power and presentation, all perfect.
to474 – :
Lovely, opulent rose fragrance that is not too heavy, though I definitely get the saffron and spice notes. Long lasting and classic, but not quite as different a rose fragrance as I expected it to be. Scored 7/10 on my P de R personal chart.
Nevbor60 – :
A sweet heavy Bulgarian rose with bitter notes that I wish were stronger. It’s fairly true to the rose oils I’ve sampled, but the bitter notes could cut that heaviness just a little bit more if they were stronger. Not quite right on me.
Encummara – :
As it happens – I become a “rose-saffron-vanilla-sandalwood-fragrance-collector”.
It started with White Aoud – OMG, what else? – and followed by Aoud Roses Petals, Lyric, Rose D’homme, Rose Aoud….etc
and certainly Rose Kashmirie.
Vanilla and sandalwood are the great sinners to my nose in this scent. Incredible richness, lusciousness, creamy mellowness, still softness are the results.
Sometimes I find it a bit too sweet to my taste, I prefer Rose D’Homme from the line (more spices, woody nuances!), but no doubt – this one is also a masterpiece.
If I pretend being a Woman- I wear this. When I wanna confuse my ambience – I spray Rose D’Homme.
prizrak123321 – :
So gorgeous!
I need to wear this again just in case some money decided to come my way…
It is a very warm spicy oriental rose but not cloying or Opium-effect.
It has depth without being a stone on your nose. It’s a very interesting scent to explore for any oriental lovers because it is more modern and less heavy but with a clear Eastern rose mood. Saffron here is very warm, dfferently from Aoud Queen Rose that becomes a cold composition on my skin, even if a beautiful one.
Rose Kashmirie is all about rose, resins and warmth. A total luscious treat for winter! Probably not an everyday ready to go to work scent. It deserves time to enjoy like old secret pleasures.
Great longevity. It’s expensive but if you can afford it is worthy the price.
Ninainiplep – :
KittyKati’s got it right- this is an oriental floral. I was nervous to try this because of the myrrh and vetiver, which are usually no nos for me.
However, I don’t pick up on that here, instead I get very a rich, sensuous rose accord laid on a vanilla/amber/benzoin base that is making me melt. Big love for htis one; it ties with La Rose for my two favorites of this line.
