House of Atkinsons launches its new collection of fragrances called The Contemporary Collection, which includes three perfumes: Rose in Wonderland, Posh on the Green and Lavender on the Rocks. The collection represents a modern interpretation of the classic three perfume ingredients. This trio is designed to “transform the familiar into the fabulously unfamiliar in a way that is distinctive and intriguing”.
Rose in Wonderland is an intense smell of roses on earthy background. It opens with accords of rose dew and black currant buds; with the heart of geranium and Centifolia rose absolute and the base of vetiver and crystal amber.
The fragrances are available as 100 ml Eau de Parfum.
Rose in Wonderland was launched in 2014.

If you blind sniffed this, you’d think that this was a low budget scent. Inoffensive and pleasant enough but hardly original, and really poor longevity.

This is far away from wonderland and fabulously unfamiliar. It is as classic and familiar as it can get. Rose in Wonderland is a fresh, green, natural smelling rose perfume with no surprises. It’s very linear and after a somewhat sharp opening stays pretty much the same old rose perfume we have all smelled before somewhere. It’s not bad at all and very pleasing for rose lovers, but the name is deceiving. This is nothing new or innovative. I was intrigued by the name and am therefor disappointed, I expected something more unusual.
