Description

This Bvlgari‘s fragrance is a beautiful bouquet of various sorts of rose. Together with the fragrance Voile de Jasmin it accompanies the re-launched edition of the classical Bvlgari Pour Femme in a new design.

Two kinds of roses – opulent and deep Turkish rose and rose Prelude with pure, greenish aroma – open the composition. In the heart, the fruity notes of blackberry are softened with delicate violet and jasmine trace. Sandalwood and patchouli make a lingering and sensual drydown. The fragrance was created by Beatrice Piquet in 2006. The bottle in light pink color repeats the shape of classical Bvlgari Pour Femme.

So beautiful! Just noticed how close this is to Bvlgari pour Femme, in fact it feels like an anagram of BPF. The violet and berry really notch this up to a new level.
Crisp and clear, never cloying or sticky. I despise the expression “old ladyish” but I will make an exception just to point out that this is NOT in any way old ladyish (which I have taken to mean overly strong and powdery, though no old ladies I know smell that way). Have to make that clear since some people think rose scents are automatically in the OL category. Not this one.
The blackberry makes this more realistic. Blackberries are closely related to roses, so maybe adding that component fills out the scent in better imitation of nature. Superb.
Forgot to mention…hours later the drydown reminds me of Mure et Musc! In fact, Rose Essentielle is the scent that helped me appreciate dry blackberry notes. ( “Reminds me of ” does not mean “is a dupe for. “)

Thank you, Rose Essentielle, for bringing back some of my confidence in blind buying after letdowns in three previous purchases.
Rose Essentielle is a beautiful scent I can highly recommend to anyone looking for a safe floral buy. It is inoffensive and work-safe. I can smell the rose, but it is not overwhelming. In fact, the notes are blended so smoothly, it’s really hard to pick out any that stands out.
Poor projection, which is fine with me. I’m the only one who needs to smell me. Longevity is just ok… lasts about 5-6 hours.

This is/was quite lovely!- everyday elegance in a pretty pink bottle. This is a ladylike classic floral with a vintage touch!
Powdery, blackberry, rose, violet, Jasmine, mimosa, blackberry with a sandlewood base how could this possibly go wrong! This is really quite beautiful!
I’m surprised to hear they discontinued this! Really! another beauty bites the dust?
I remember the last time I wore this on the ferry going to Tasmania for Christmas, I received many compliments on this fragrance! I was quite sick with sea sickness at the time! but this little lovely was my comfort, she took the edge off feeling green and awful!
Sad to hear she will be retiring:(

Couldn’t say anything, but this perfume is amazing!

Massive. It’s a scent to be reckoned with. It is Pour Femme, but with roses. It’s Huge, it’s Strong, it’s Rich. It certainly isn’t a wallflower or unforgettable. One spray into the air, then saly thru – any more than that and you’ll have people collapsing as you pass. It’s Wonderfully Wonderful, you MUST love rose. It isn’t brassy or shrill in any way – it’s just MASSIVE.

I am not an absolute fan of rose perfumes, i’m having a hard time finding some that are note to overpowering or old lady smelling, but let me tell you, this one is a good one! Feminine and delicate, softly powdery. It’s worth a try that’s for sure!

I smell roses, violet, mimosa, musk, and a touch of sandalwood. No patchouli, no blackberry, no jasmine.
To me, Rose Essentielle is a powdery ladylike floral, with an equal balance of violet and rose. Kind of old fashioned, but more in a sense of classic rather than dated.
The pink bottle is very suitable, as it’s about as feminine as fragrance gets. It’s a fragrance I’d classify as “pretty”, and suitable for Spring days and dresses.

I don’t normally like roses in particular. But i love this perfume! Tend your first sprays with care, to me the opening is very heady and strong. But it mellows out to roses and some berries (?) Quite lasting on me.

I’m 21 and grew up with my mother wearing the original BVLGARI perfume in the light amber bottle. She ventured into this one as well which is the more floral, certainly rose take on the original DNA.
All I can say is that to me this rose based perfume exudes class and elegance. I don’t find that I can wear this yet but this is definitely a number for when you want to feel and smell like one classy lady. With this said, it is not aging but simply lady-like rather than being womanly. Yes, bvlgari is typically powdery as the Rose Essentielle EDP. Powdery rose and a little soapy. Since I don’t wear this I can only speak for my mother who has said that her bvlgari frags don’t last! But oh my from my experience, the sillage is enormous when first sprayed – whole bathroom filling type thing. She would always layer the body wash, lotion and perfume which helped. The lotion was a beast on its own when first applied. As for wear, it does last a bit on clothes (3-4 days). A nice day time frag if sprayed sparingly, and even nicer for those evenings where you want to feel expensive but not overdone.
The original line from bvlgari gives a sense of quality and timeless refinement and I believe their SPLENDIDA line is supposed to replace the OG which may be going into discontinuation.

The dry down is waaaaay too powdery.

Rose Essentielle is a great everyday perfume (perhaps even a signature scent). It’s very feminine, crisp, and clean.
The rose and the blackberry are the notes I smell at first. The rose smells powdery and floral (as to be expected with rose), and the blackberry surprisingly does not smell sugary sweet. It’s a juicy and tart blackberry that gives the rose a freshness that makes the perfume extremely wearable.
As the drydown happens on my skin, more of the sandalwood comes out, which makes the perfume smell more interesting, in my opinion. Eventually, more of the jasmine and patchouli come out in the fragrance as well, but in a subtle way. This is when I enjoy the fragrance the most, I think.
Rose, jasmine, and sandalwood are among some of my favorite fragrance notes, and this perfume does not disappoint me on that front. I think it smells SO pretty. The only thing that’s preventing me from loving the scent, though, is the very weak sillage. This is a perfume where I wouldn’t mind if it projected a bit more strongly because it smells so light and pretty. On me, especially with the drydown, it’s more of a skinscent (which may make it more office friendly, for those who are looking for a good office fragrance).

Can’t believe this is discontinued. It is my favorite rose scent for Winter. Just bought another bottle.

I got the original / Black / Rose, I got this brand after I tried the product in the hotel room. I guess I over buying it. I so worry perfume would be discontinued, I often buy 2-3 of each…. ( don’t do it, I regret now )
I am still saving it, I use it once a while. not on my list, I won’t say is a long wear. NON-LWT,just standard perfume time SPT. Does smell fresh or anything, I would say pretty average.

I prefer roses by Chloe more, so I will stick to that one, and swaaaap for Bulgari!

Top-class ultimate rose. With a light trail of jasmine, very slightly powdery, but with an edge. A hint of sweetness only. Longevity and sillage are excellent, too.

I don’t have much to say about this perfume but that I absolutely love it!!!!!!
I hear it is discontinued but recently found it in a shop where I live and I didn’t hesitate to buy the biggest EDP bottle. I can never get tired of this, it is my signature scent

  17. :

Rose Essentellel EDP is a solid rose fragrance. I much prefer this to the EDT which smells just odd to me, like rose watered down with something I can’t quite pinpoint. I know many love it so maybe it’s just me but the EDP is the Rose Essentielle you want. I will be honest and say it is maybe a bit too safe like Romance by Ralph Lauren and it lacks a bit of oomph but there are times when you just want a pleasant rose feminine fragrance. If you like classic rose fragrances that are powdery and not sweet give it a try.

  18. :

Airy, powdery wild rose with fruitiness and bit sour blackberry, warmed with musk and wood.
Usually I say vintage-y, but this well deserves to be called ‘classic’. Timeless perfume. It’s pinkish ballerina – ethereal, well looking, elegant and sweet in a good way. Somehow it reminds me backstage where are powdery cosmetics, lots of roses and flowers, lovely girls, smiles and excitement, and wood decorations are prepared. Woman wearing this should be nicely dressed, because this perfume somehow represents celebration, something elegant and feminine. This isn’t pure red rose, but in front also is wild rose (Taif rose?) and mimosa’s powderiness and sweetness. For woman 25+.

This might be my favorite rose fragrance thus far. Although I do love Stella. But this is exactly what I’ve been looking for…feminine, very romantic, slightly powdery, a little old fashioned if you will, but classic Performs very well on clothing, maybe not as long on skin. Just beautiful.

Very nice creation from Bvlgari. Prominent sweet rose notes with only a little bit of blackberry undertone and some musk to it.
Soft and velvety floral. Very feminime and delicate.

Bvlgari Rose Essentielle EDP is a rose based scent and I love rose scents…. however, this is a rose based scent that I just cannot bring myself to love. I blind bought it and it was a disappointment to my nose. To me it smells like grandma’s old rose perfume, very old fashioned musty and dank. I have tried wearing it several times and every time I was unhappy with the scent. It doesn’t smell of fresh roses like Roses de Chloé. I love all of Chloe’s rose perfumes, also Stella and Dolce n Gabbana Rosa Excelsa. May be something with mixture of the notes that this rose scent is not as nice as the others I mentioned. It’s a good quality perfume, long lasting, good sillage but just not for me.

I absolutely appreciate this scent , it is a total bouquet of Rose , Violet and Jasmine , with a slight fruity dry down of Blackberry, with a slight Patchouli liftoff . What amazes me is how a friend or a stranger can be wearing the same scent and I totally get different notes . I’m not shy to ask , What are you wearing , you smell amazing ,sometimes I’m shocked that I have it also , but on me ,it smells like ” my fridge needs to be cleaned out ” , you know that , What is that ” smell ” as you open the door. This on me is pretty much a straight up Floral , with a lasting Rose and a slight musk afterthought . The predominate scent of rose lasts 3 ~ 5 hours { where others can smell it } after that I’m the only one that can smell it , which is fine with me . I’ve also noticed that I can smell one time Roses , the next more violets or patchouli , I’ve decided it has to do with the change of our body chemistry . Those are the scents I live for , although I tend to stay away from those scents on days I’m less than stellar in mood and chemistry , I can tell my scent mood must be a match or I get an overwhelming desire to go home and ” look in my fridge ” ~ /=^ } ~

Rose Essentielle is a happy, upbeat scent that smells great in the spring/summer, but it doesn’t come across as a pure rose to me. The berries and violet are more prominent. For a true rose, I prefer Stella the original.

(review from a man, teste on my girlfriend)
Absolutely fantastic rose perfume. I am a man, but I would like to smell all day long. In the top notes, besides the rose, I can smell a bit of berry fruits. The mid notes contains more, and stronger rose scents with some jasmin and mimosa. In the first 2-3 hours absolutely wonderful fragrance, but after that, become very synthetic, and unfortunately all the natural feeling dissapear… But the base with the patchouli, sandal and the guajac is pleasent too. Apart from the synthetic notes, this is a very well composed romance fragrance.
    – Spring/summer/fall scent better works on daytime
    – Sillage ang longevity are better than average, longevity arond 6 hours
    – Safe blind buy
    Scent (open, top-mid): 9/10 (x2)
    Scent (drydown, base): 8/10 (x2)
    Sillage: 6/10
    Longevity: 6/10
    Uniqueness: 7/10
    Versatility: 8/10
    Total: 7.625/10

I tried to like this perfume, gave it so many chances but it really is a no no for me.
It smells old. This is the smell in funerals, or the candle section in Churces, tbh. Too strong, the longevity is amazing though. But it gives me headache. I gave it away.

    Too bad she is dead.
Was a spectacular rose perfume – rich, sparkling, sour-sweet and extremely vibrant. And that name…
This was the essential rose imo! What a pity.
I sometimes wish I had a perfume house myself, so that I could rip these now-dead scents like Rose Essentielle, Gucci Eau de Parfum and EdP II, Armani Sensi, McQueen Kingdom, My Queen, TF Black Orchid VdF and Violet Blonde, Fendi Palazzo etc.
I would comfortably poach them, slap a new name on my proud ‘new’ creations, and shamelessly re-release them myself! If their parents will not love them, I could adopt them myself… but alas…

A likeable friendly rose fragrance. Nothing offensive or overpowering. It’s nice yes but typical, nothing memorable or unique either.

I love Chloe Roses and thought this could be an addition to my growing love of Rose scents but its much too Rosey for me. That being said, it is one worth having in your collection. For those Bvlgari Rose Essentielle lovers, this is being discontinued as advised by an outlet I usually frequent. This includes several other Bvlgaris such as Jasmin Noir, Femme. It appears to be getting a makeover (reformulated and repackaged), so stock up now while its going cheap. Might just get me one of these babies anyway as I really like this shape bottle.

I loved Rose Essentielle and I could understand why suddenly when I wanted to buy another one I could not find it anywhere (literally anywhere, I travel a lot..) then few months ago I had luck finding a bottle 100 ml in Dubai airport … Now I know that e new rose scent is out from Bvlgari and I don’t know if Rose Essentielle will be produced anymore…yesterday i tried the new one and looks like a washed out version of rose essentielle. that is unbelievable. Why?

BVLGARI ROSE ESSENTIELLE was an impulse buy. I didn’t really invest to much thought or anything else into it. I never even thought about it after the fact. Until ..
I Ran out of the Juice. I was really pissed.I didn’t even realize that it quickly became my go to perfüme. One of my favourites. BVLGARI ROSE ESSENTIELLE, You sneaked into my heart and made me unconsciously fall in love with you. I’m not the only one who missed the lovely comforting scent either. My husband did. He never noticed anything. If he does he doesn’t mention it. After the Repurchase of my BVLGARI ROSE ESSENTIELLE fix. One day he said, You smell so good. I really missed that smell. I looked at him perplexed and surprised and said my perfüme?. He said, that stuff, is sexy as hell. I love it on you. He told me, Even his best friend always says, how nice you always smell after you walk by or leave the room. Man, your wife smells good. But, I can say it really does smell nice. Unfortunately, I didn’t even realize how nice it was until I ran out.I really missed, that first opening spray of soft but deep juicy rose with that little zip of blackberry.I typically don’t care to smell “fruity”. The blackberry isn’t loud or obvious. But,it adds this character and Elegance to it. Followed by an almost regal rose with a strong support of Mimosa. It stays pretty true to the first spray almost all the way through. It’s a mature, elegant Rose. It’s also clean smelling.(by clean,I don’t mean soapy)
It definitely exudes class. No doubt. The best way I can describe how this perfüme smells is, Ever feel a Rose petal? Soft, Rich, Velvety & Moist?
ROSE ESSENTIELLE smells just like a Rose Petal Feels. If that makes any sense.
    Silage is moderate, even when I can’t quite smell it anymore. Others can. Longevity is decent. I get about -five or six hours. But, I like my scents a bit stronger. {I’m notorious for reapplying a little more often than most.}
This is one of those underrated perfümes for sure. It’s a very classy, elegant rose with a strong mimosa background with just a bit touches of blackberry and others to keep it interesting and a bit different. But, without making it wierd. Really Really nice.
*Like the one poster jmalone pointed out. Like her, I tire easily of scents. This one for some reason. I don’t.

    Soft delicate scent.
It is beautiful scent until drydown, then it changes to supersoft, nearly nothing to detect. Fades. So a shadow of this scent.
Yes rose with blackberry at first sweet and soft, very nice notes then violet appears.
And after 5 min all dries down to shadow of what i felt before.

Bvlgari’s Rose Essentielle has been adopted into my perfume collection today after being sent by lovely fragrantica member Scarbo who is such a sweetheart! she didn’t only send this, but also Jean Paul Gualtier’s Classique EDP and a few other samples.
Rose Essentielle is a big love for me! This is a very classy and sophisticated perfume. This fragrance is like a breath of fresh air. Very sheer and beautiful. This perfume smells like you have fallen into a bed of rose petals. slightly fruity, woody, powdery, and floral. I enjoy that one note doesn’t dominate the others. This fragrance makes me think of a lady who is angelic and innocent. Romantic, charming, crisp, and light. Anyone who enjoys soft scents that still has enough presence to get noticed should definitely try this scent. x

It’s a berry light rose that is airy and delightful until it turns bad like bitter herbal on the dry down. Feel like Bulgari are masters of delicate musks and flowers softly presented but the berry or fruit tripped them up in this perfume and they messed up in the transition. Love their tea line and Pour Femme and Jasmine fragrances though.

  35. :

The secret to the exquisiteness of this lovely fragrance is, IMO, the magnificent authentic taif rose! It is precious and adds a unique beautiful “rose plus” scent to the fragrance. This is the best rose fragrance I’ve come across. I’m not a big Rose perfume person but I love this one!

  36. :

A delightfully soft bubble of rose–if you like your rose slightly unusual. Dry down does not take long, which is good if you don’t like your fragrance to hang around you like a cloud. I…just might buy this one, which is kinda miraculous.

Most scents don’t last too well on my wrists but this one does. It is surprisingly long-lasting but delicate. The main scent notes are, immediately, rose and violet and both remain clearly detectable hours later; I don’t really notice the other scent notes. This suits me very well indeed as I love both rose and violet in perfumes. The combination here is very well done! A great find, perfect for any weather I would imagine, and office-friendly.

I’ve been wearing this a lot recently now that it’s Spring in my part of the world. It’s a good everyday scent for this time of year – rosy floral, classy but not too sweet, with an underlay of sandalwood and musk. After it dries down the latter really comes through and stops it from being a childish scent. Most of all it reminds me of luxury rose soap when I wear it, and this is both a plus and minus. Positive because it’s light and seems to go with anything, and can instantly brighten up my mood. I feel well-dressed and put-together when I’m out and about with this fragrance – ‘Rose Essentielle’ is the right name for it.
The minus is because the ‘soapiness’, for want of a better word, makes me feel there’s something generic about this scent (despite it being a Bvlgari perfume, and quite pleasant) – so I’ll probably want to try other rose perfumes when this runs out. I absolutely adore Mon Jasmin Noir, though, so I’ll still have a Bvlgari bottle in my collection 🙂

This starts out as a perfect candied rose, and I am not a fan of sweet scents. The fruity but tart blackberry is the perfect complement to the dusky rose that marks the opening of this addictive fragrance. Over the course of about an hour, it warms into the patchouli and woody notes which ground the heady, fruity/floral start into a delightfully mellow concoction. It’s decidedly feminine in a very sophisticated way, yet not overly mature or dirty. It becomes a skin scent after a few hours, but I spray it before bed and can still smell the musky, woody sweetness in the morning. Rose Essentielle is almost a misnomer. Yes, it starts as a sweet rose, but morphs into something completely different. I wonder if you sprayed and never knew the name if you would even identify rose as the featured note? I’m addicted to this chameleon scent. Intriguing and excellent.

This is a great Rose fragrance! It’s not over powering, yet the silage was a good 6 feet, that was how far my daughter was standing from me at least..we measured..lol. Sometimes Rose can smell somewhat like a funeral parlor on me, but this is just perfect! Longetivity was great too, on skin about 6-8 hours on me, on my sweatshirt it’s still going strong. 100% full bottle worthy, more than likely I won’t even wait until my Scentbird bottle is empty!

Two words for this: Absolutely stunning. I’ve always wanted a sweet yet romantic rose perfume. This was exactly what I had pictured. It is the most beautiful scent. Some things to note: After spritzing it in the morning, it lasted all night and even a little bit into the next morning. This is a very MATURE scent;whatever that means to you. It doesn’t smell like it should be worn on a person 17 and under. Maybe 20’s-early 30’s. Honestly, I’d advise you to wear whatever you are comfortable in regardless of your age. Perfumes are magical and mix differently with everyone’s body chemistry. Sorry for the long post.
Final Verdict: If you adore roses and the sweet, natural scent they give off, times that by 10 and BAM, you have Bvlgari Rose Essentielle. 100% worth it; especially for a night out.

  43. :

Bvlgari Rose Essential is a beautiful classy musky rose, I smell the patchouli and sandlewood and its heavenly, but unfortunately not for long.
Within an hour its completely gone from my skin, not even sniffing my wrist can I get my fix. It’s so sad. I tried a friends perfume called ‘Rosie for Autograph’ from Marks and Spencers, and it costs £35 for 75ml, and it smells just like Bvlgari Rose Essential…. and the best part is, I get to enjoy it for at least 8 hours.
So i’m sorry Bvlgari, I will be buying the M&S perfume from now on because although I love you, I wanted to love you longer than you wanted to love me.

I was looking for a soft, delicate rose perfume (as the smell of the roses is). With this perfume I decided to stop blind buying perfumes. It has a really nice rose scent, but for my perception is surrounded and even overpower by a scent, that I’m not sure if is the combination of ingredients or one in particular that reminded me of when I was a child, a scent that was unpleasant for me back then and that I perceived mostly on old women. I don’t like to limit perfumes to ages and this is not exception. I don’t like the perfume because of this scent that I didn’t like back then and I don’t like now either, not because it reminded me to the perfumes that old ladies wore when I was a kid. In fact one of my favourites perfumes, remind me of my grandmother, she used to wear a perfume with Jasmine and or Neroli.
I decided that this Christmas I will gift this perfume.

I could now say this is my signature perfume (until I find a better one, that is. Been searching for more fragrances too – since I suddenly had the urge to collect perfumes now!).
Anyway, my nose is not detecting complex notes like some people here. So here’s just a simple description for this lovely scent:
    LIGHT, FRESH, POWDERY ROSES.
I do not get why some say this smells like their grandma. Does this mean your grandma smell sexy/powdery/flowery?
I recently got a Coco Mademoiselle and I see a similarity. But I love the Rose Essentielle more. The latter takes me back to those salmon-colored roses that my boyfriend first gave me when we’re still just dating, way back in 2010. Yeah, that’s a long time – but when I smelled this, it hit me with nostalgia. The smell of roses is very natural!
When I first sprayed this, I detected a hint of sharp fruity smell (probably the blackberry that some are saying?) But other than that, I could just smell the roses. Roses, roses, roses – which is a GREAT thing (for me).
The drydown is superb too. Roses with another flower I could not decipher (maybe the jasmine?)
Anyway, this is a long-lasting scent. It did not last long on my wrists since they’re really dry (blame the weather). But the one I sprayed on my chest is still there after 19 hours!!! The sillage is not that good though 🙁 🙁 So if you have suggestions on similar fragrance as Rose Essentielle with better sillage, let me know please. 🙂

I don’t like rose-based fragrances in general, but this is an exception. It definitely doesn’t smell like rose water. It’s a soft, powdery, romantic floral scent lead by rose, but the rose doesn’t hit you in the face. It softly adds a truly classy, elegant and utterly feminine vibe to it. The base is warm and sensual. One disadvantage is that it stays very close to the skin and doesn’t project at all.

This is absolutely the best rose fragrance out there, hands down. I have a difficult relationship with rose. But this fragrance is my idea of the PERFECT rose scent, and I would smell like this all day, every day, easy. And this is someone who gets tired of fragrances verrrry quickly, and I find fault with a fragrance 99.9% of the time. So this is a rave review. I am not unsure about purchasing this at all, which is a new thing for me.
There is the lovely powdery, clean rose-hip like nuance, as well as the lush, dewy, sweet mouth watering aspect of rose. It doesn’t smell horribly synthetic, it’s fresh and elegant at the same time, where I often find fragrances are one or the other. There are very few that manage to be clean and refreshing, while also being potent and unique enough to make you feel beautiful and well dressed. It manages to be youthful and light while also being quite sexy and grown up. Oh so feminine, sophisticated and romantic. Also, I usually find Bvlgari sadly lacking on the sillage side, but the sillage is absolutely perfect on this one. I used only a spritz on my wrist and it wafted airily around me all day in a lovely soft pink cloud of deliciousness.
I really don’t get the patchouli. I get mainly rose (the 2 aspects I described earlier), the fruity notes, and the elegant woods. The most prominent notes I think are perhaps the fruit notes actually. The blackberry lingers on and on. And in the beginning it is a little tart and tangy, blended with the mimose and rose. I don’t understand how anyone could complain either about the sillage or longevity, because both are probably the best out of all the Bvlgari fragrances. Bvlgari tend to do very quiet, subtle fragrances, and this is the one that projects the most. It smells divine in the shower 8+ hours after application when the water hits it, and I can still detect it afterwards. Lingers on clothing for days afterwards. Once you start wearing it, it truly becomes a signature because you detect hints of the base notes everywhere due to its longevity, it sorts of seeps on to everything. I am eagerly awaiting my nice big 3.4 oz bottle!
    LOVE.

Dewy, berry rose. Sheer and liquored, like the purest golden rose oil you’ve ever smelled. Think of a rose with no papery, velvety or spicy qualities — nothing but a rain-soaked pink rosebud, waxy and fresh — and you have Rose Essentielle”. This is a fresh rose, to the highest degree.

For me it’s rose and mimosa. The mimosa I think gives it depth so that the rose is approachable and sits on the skin almost like a rose/honeysuckle scented lotion. Even though there is no honeysuckle. Very delicate and sophisticated if you love rose and mimosa, which I do. This perfume is not at all brash…just a honey like rose heaviness. I am sure the other notes are playing, but I can’t smell them. This is not a woody base at all. at least in the first hour.

A beautiful delicate, fresh, green rose scent. Really very pretty. Easy to wear. Refreshing. Not heavy at all. Gorgeous bottle and delicious colour. Lasts a good half day, and carries a few feet. Very, very lovely. Special.

I love and list many other Bvlgari and BVL fragrances as my favorites. But this is just what it promises: ROSES! I enjoy many other fragrances with rose as a base note (Rose De Chloe, Rock N’ Rose, Flora, Dolly girl & etc), but this is more like air freshener (for the home) than perfume.

One of the more beautiful modern rose perfumes in our fragrance market today. Delicate, sweet but not cloying, elegant, simple, and so so beautiful. This makes me feel like going out into a forest and falling asleep holding a single rose. It has a Sleeping Beauty effect. The rose note is very pronounced but it’s not an in your face cold Bulgarian rose, nor Tea Rose type of rose. It’s powdery, soapy but lasts a long time and it gets into your skin. It’s like rose oil. The Persian taif rose and guaiacum wood give this scent an Oriental slant but it’s not heavy as an Oriental either. It’s dreamy. I love to wear this out on romantic dates. And this is unmistakably feminine. Sorry guys no way can you smell as good as any woman can wearing this beautiful female rose.

I love Bvlgari Rose Essentielle and wear it when I just want to be a girl and not have to prove anything. It lasts only about 4 hours, but even so, I can’t stop sniffing my wrist. It’s a clean fragrance, perfect for putting on straight out of the bath — and at first reminds me of clean white toilet paper, but not to be fooled, Rose Essentielle is also an elegant perfume. I wore this to a summer event and it was perfect since it was not overpowering, and I was confident I wasn’t offending anyone and yet felt polished at the same time. If you are looking for a sweet, soft rose fragrance for summer this would be the one.

A beautiful feminine woody rose with a touch of Patchouli…..Absolutely gorgeous but unfortunately it is fleeting on my skin, I can only expect it to last 1-2 hours which is a shame. Luckily I have found a replacement that not only smells exactly the same, but is a fraction of the price… Marks & Spencers ‘Rosie for Autograph’… it costs £30 for 75ml, and lasts all day.

    Oh, what a lovely perfume
For a few years I went off rose scents, even gave away my Bvlgari Pour Femme EDP to a friend
Well, yesterday I was shopping for something else and spied this bottle (the 25ml jewel shaped version), tried it and bought it
I think what caught my attention was the cooler, greener rose
It smells like a freshly opened rose that has not quite reached the point of sweet juiciness I usually associate with rose perfumes
    It is long lasting too
Last night I was still testing it at home and by mistake sprayed by nightgown instead of my hand
About 20 hours later I can still smell the rose scent although this is a deeper, hea
