Received some samples from a generous friend of my mine and Rose de Kelaa was among them.
I’m not a true rose lover who loves anything with rose in it,but there are couple of rose centered perfumes that I appreciate and love.but I thought that Rose de Kelaa won’t be among them.it’s pyramid wasn’t intriguing for me as I try to avoid green, aromatic and earthy, even too much woody scents.when I first sprayed it,I faced a very green scent, tones of galbanum which I immediately disliked.basil and lemon made it even more green and aromatic and hard to like by me.I could smell rose and plumchouli buried beneath top notes
But with each tiking of clock,it developed to something better.half an hour after spraying it,I couldn’t believe this super gorgeous scent is the drydown of what I previously dislike so intensely!
Rose is the star of it’s drydown.a delightfully sweet plummy rose,oh and there’s definitely oakmoss, some patchouli and some woody nuances but they’re subtle and don’t turn it to something masculine or even unisex.I can also detect something minty cool in back ground, like a basil sorbet, cutting through the sweetness making it wearable year round
Unlike my first thoughts I’m really enjoying it.I love it when I face such dramatic changes in a fragrance’s development path.it’s not an old, classic type of rose perfume and not as boring and generic as a lot of modern ones.longevity is very good and it projects well enough.
I don’t know how much a full bottle is priced and wether it’s difficult to find or not, regardless of it’s price I think that’s it’s recommendable
