I recently swapped this beauty with a seasonal summer scent for my vanity, and I had to spray it one last time in one of those breezy evenings, as a “last call” before storing it away in my basement, waiting for cooler season. I know that I’m gonna miss it for months now, and I just wanna lick my wrist for dessert 🙂 It was like eating red rose petals dipped in a rich, buttery, yummy and thick caramel sauce. What a simple pleasure it is.
See you soon in fall, my love <3

Does this smell like Nina Ricci L’Extase?

Rose Caramel is probably the most sophisticated of the Victoria Secret fragrances I’ve tried.
I find jasmine is the dominant note, which makes it a little sharp. I get a hint of rose, and I can smell a faint whiff of caramel in the dry down, which is disappointing because it would suit me better if it were sweeter. I wouldn’t call it a gourmand scent, more floral, with a hint of sweetness from the caramel. I am not disappointed in the longevity. It’s powerful for a VS scent. It lasts for hours on my skin, and on my clothing for days. A good fragrance for fall and winter.
The packaging, both the bottle and the presentation box is gorgeous. It looks expensive. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for something a little different.

I haven’t actually tried this, but… can we just take a moment to admire the color of this bottle?! perfection<3

I’ve thought about blind buying this a few times. I love caramel and rose as notes, but together that sounded strange. I was way off.
I got a nice sized sample in a swap and as soon as I sprayed it I wanted more. I doused myself in and kept smelling my wrists. This has got to be the best VS perfume ever! The review below mine was dead on. Deep roses drizzled in warm caramel. It’s also a bit more grown up compared to most VS frags. I love VS, but I do think the majority of frags are aimed at women a decade yoUnger than myself. (I’m 34) I’ll be buying a FB asap! I should actually stock up before it is impossible to find.

Not your typical VS perfume. Deep roses covered in a drizzle of warm, rich caramel. More rose than caramel, a good perfume for fall and winter. I initially really enjoyed this, but the more I wear it the more I detect a rose soap note that I’m not enjoying. I’m glad I only purchased a purse spray.

This is probably the nicest, closest scent to caramel I have ever smelled. It’s there, but it’s not overwhelmingly cloying or sweet. The rose tempers the gourmand notes to make this a pleasant wear. One spray is enough. I could have easily confused this for a niche or designer scent. The bottle and box are gorgeous.

This perfume is so nice and balanced in an exceptional way; not too rosy and not too sugary. In spite of categorizing this as sugary (caramel dah!) it is not so overwhelming. Some sugary scents can cause headache but this scent is just sweet without being very sweet if you can get the difference! Most of VS scents smell exactly the same but this one stands out. Suitable for an evening outing, don’t think its suitable for the office as its really good and needs a better environment. If you can find it, grab one without hesitation.

I’m loving this scent sooooo much!!! The caramel stands out and the rose is subtle but noticeable and the hints of faint jasmine all blend beautifully together. The longevity and sillage are both moderate on me.
This is such a nice unique scent I don’t own anything like it in my collection.

Oh perfect for fall/winter! Lasted about 5 hours, too.
Warm, sweet and creamy. The rose note is very prominent and mixes well with caramel. The best part is that it smells like nothing I own 🙂
I wouldn’t say I love it, but I do like it.

I wanted to buy this perfume so badly, but I waited a while, then when I finally went back to buy this, they didn’t have it anywhere! Not online at VS, nor in the store! I found out later that it was a limited edition and I missed out!
It smelled sooo delicious!! Literally like the name, rose caramel!
I usually don’t like the smell of roses in my perfume as they tend to give this powdery smell to it, however this smelled so yummy!
Hopefully they decided to bring this fragrance back, because I will be purchasing this in a heartbeat!

I’m being 100% honest when I say that if I had to give up all my fragrances but one, I would chose to keep this one. This is like a guilty pleasure in a bottle to me. I happen to love sweet scents, and also Rose. But seriously this is the most yummy fragrance I own. Complicated? No. Mysterious? No. But I am drenched in sweet, creamy rose goodness when I wear this to the point where I literally can’t think of anything that smells better than ME in that moment. I will admit to owning THREE bottles of this. Limited edition it was (sadface) and I Cannot bear to think of being without this beauty.

I wanted so bad for this scent to smell amazing on me since the notes sounded so pretty but I couldn’t smell anything when I sprayed it on the tester strip. All it smelled like was a faint hint of rose and no caramel whatsoever. I was shocked at how weak this scent was. If VS could make their perfumes stronger then they would be so much better!

This leans more fruity gourmand than floral, let alone rose. It has a similar warmth and sweet, ripe fruitiness of Fancy, which is one of my all time favourites. Fancy though is more potent, which can be a good thing or not. The dry down is surprisingly warm and comforting to me, and has the sweetness of licorice and caramel. It’s among my favourite fruity gourmands, but as a rose scent or even rose jam, there are more suitable options. The rose is not very dominating, realistic, powdery, sour or tangy. The depth is created by the vanilla. I love the bottle even though the plastic cap feels a bit cheap.

I feel special, my bestie got me this for my bday. It will be my new fall scent. Delectable.
RenatXP – :
Gooey, caramel drizzled roses. This is a truly gourmand fragrance. It’s sweet and warm and cozy – a perfect cool weather scent. I can understand the comparison to Fancy, but really it’s only the caramel they have in common. I get a sharpness in Fancy (which I attribute to the red berries) that is noticeably missing in Rose Caramel. Delicious fragrance! I am also in love with the packaging – for the whole line, and this bottle especially. I hope VS continues to use the simpler packaging – and that they stay away from the doggone atomizers!

Rose caramel is truly gorgeous. The caramel comes through loud and clear. The rose is subtle. It’s more gourmand than floral. This one reminds me of an old Victoria Secret scent, “Mood- Sweet Cravings, or maybe it was Succulent??”. Anyway; if you liked any of the old Mood fragrances, this one is worth a shot. It’s very different from the usual Victoria Secret line-up.
I’m not really a fan of the others in this line, although I did get the rose musk as a free travel spray when I bought rose caramel. Maybe it will grow on me? The Rose Bergamot is a harsh, screechy rose to my nose. Rose Violet is not that unique. Rose Musk is interesting, but very reminiscent of an “older” scent.
Anyway, go take a sniff. You will smell them and not think they are Victoria Secret scents..

This is such a warm creamy rose scent. Very sophisticated. Not too rosey but a perfect balance. All of these perfumes in this line smell really good. Definitely worth a sniff!
