I love Italian perfumes and rose perfumes so I felt fine blind buying this. The rose is actually not very pronounced. As the other reviewer says, this is more heavy on violet plus some freesia. I get some almonds and milk too which makes this a creamy scent. I wish there were some spices to cut through the flowery sweetness. The musk isn’t dry enough. Overall, for the price this is good. I use this to layer with Diane by Diane furstenberg because of the francincense in Diane. I also layer this with soliflires like Cartier rose de goutte and Yardley April Violets on days I need more Violets. I do love violets! Honestly this is easy to wear alone or for layering purposes. The longevity isn’t the greatest though. This disappears after 2 hours.

Hmmm… This is quite a suprise. I am a fan of Tesori D’oriente, so I expected something good from Compagnia Delle Indie too. I like their bottles, and history of the company is impressive.
I’ve blind bought this scent, expecting something very rosy, soapy and vintage. Even though the name of this scent is Desert Rose, rose is not in the notes, instead there are “flowers” and white musk. The flowers in this composition could be – violet, magnolia, freesia and jasmine, maybe a tiny bit of rose. There’s a lot of violet in it, but the flowers don’t really smell natural, it’s one of this “abstract”, synthetic (plastic even) scents. I can also detect almonds, some berries (it’s very sweet, almost like pink candies), anise, and amber.
In my opinion it’s quite similar to My Insolence.
Overall, I thought it would be one of this dry, musky, soapy scents, instead it’s very “pink”, girly scent, more lipsticky, heavy on the violet.
Not necessarily for me, the name is misleading (because it’s not about the rose), but I wouldn’t say that it’s a bad scent, especially given the price.
