… like it a lot , have some four or five bottles , but on those extremely hot days is proving weak in projection and longaevity … used in mid autumn on mild days seemed much more intense …
… correction … ona a very hot night , dinner outside at the terrace … RL was always present and could be noticed permanently…. same the following day , when it stood the test of an incredibly hot night …

Zara Rich Leather is one of a handful of Aventus-like clones, the more notable being Vibrant Leather (EDT and now EDP). I was able to quickly try and buy a bottle of Rich Leather, though, and found it quite satisfying.
It’s one of the better Aventus clones I’ve tried, adequately capturing the pineapple and woods of its inspiration. It’s only bright at the very opening and then quickly dries down to the fruity, woody, musky, and rather sobering base.
Performance is about what I’d expect for the price. A skin scent within a couple hours but a pleasant, balanced one.
I believe its retail pricing in the US was $29.90 for 100ml EDP, which is as modest as any pricing I’ve seen for a decent Aventus clone.

Another aventus clone that does an ok job of replicating the scent. Unfortunately, there are much better performing clone’s out there than this. Move it on.

worst bought fragrance ever, zero sillage and you have to bury your nose to skin to smell it.

I like this one. Similar to Creed Aventus.

Disappointing longevity issues. But very nice fragrance nonetheless for the price. Great for daily wear without much thought. CDNIM has much better performance.

I enjoy this one. Similar to Aventus? Yes, quite a bit. Exact clone? No, but not even Creed can clone Aventus with all the batch varieties out there! 🙂
It is an Aventus wibe frag, but even on its own is a nice one. For me this one is fruitier and maybe a a bit sweeter than the fruity Aventus batch. The drydown is also nice and is maybe a bit more woody. I paid €18 and i plan to wear it a lot during this spring and summer. I get about 2h projection and then I have to re-apply with 1-2 sprays, otherwise it becomes a skin scent for the next 2-3h.
I still believe CDNIM is more of an Aventus clone (after say 10mins). I also REALLY like Perfume Parlours clone Aventis 0022! That one doesn’t project as much but is a better clone smell wise.

    As if.
There are 4 and 5 star Aventus clones out there, this is a limp noodle compared to others. Anyone who says they get “4 hours” is lying. This is pineapple water.
Is it cheap in price ?
    Yes. So what ?

Opens with: Sweet artificial fruit flavoring; like a mix between lemon and pineapple. It’s a “thin” sweetness, not thick nor creamy. There are times when it reminds me of Skittles, other times like air freshener. Pleasant, but not mind-blowing.
Settles down to: A light, woody scent with still a hint of sweet fruitiness. Can’t detect much leather.
Sillage: Moderate in the first hour.
    Longevity: 4 hrs max.
This smells like the Aventus-DNA, watered down, with the smoked removed and (much) sugar added. If you’re looking for an Aventus replacement, you came at the wrong place – there’s CDNIM for that. If you’re looking for a decent fruity-woody scent, you can consider Zara Rich leather, now that Vibrant Leather is discontinued. This one works for certain kinds of people; to those who think that wearing Aventus can be too ostentatious in low-key situations, or for people who want to find a playful, less-serious approach to the Aventus DNA because the original does not fit their personality (like me). But there’s the catch; it’s just decent and has nothing going for it except for the price. But my gf likes this so much, so I guess I’ll be keeping it.

If this is what Creed Aventus smells like, I’m not impressed with it. However, given that this is the only clone I’ve tried so far and that I have not tried the O.G. itself, I’d bet money that Aventus smells better than Rich Leather given all the hype/praise it receives throughout the community.
To my nose, the pineapple doesn’t smell right – something is off about it. You get A LOT of pineapple for the entire duration you have it on plus some pink pepper and some very slight smokiness/woods. But this is predominantly a fruity/pineapple scent so if you don’t like fruity scents, you won’t like this because it doesn’t develop away from being just that.
So far, I’ve tried it in FALL/Winter type weather – when Spring/summer come back around I will re-visit this.
Side Note: I’ve tested a few Zara fragrances so far and I actually own Rich Leather. I’ve tested Norrland, Ambre Noble, Exclusive Oud, Rich Warm & Addictive. I’m not sure why anyone else has not said this yet, but to my nose/skin, all of these Zara scents are LINEAR. No change or development throughout.
This is NOT necessarily a bad thing. But what you smell when you first spray it is what will be there when you smell it 8 hours later. I can only say this for the Zara fragrances I’ve tried as per the above.
But I guess that is the difference between buying fragrances from a mid/upper-mid-tier clothing store like Zara versus buying from a company that specializes in fragrances like Armaf.

An inexpensive version of Creed Aventus .The pineapple note is very noticeable and it lasts for good time. Don’t expect to compare it with the expensive perfumes but it has very good value for the money.
    Scent 4.2/5
    Projection 4/5
    Silage 4/5
    Longevity 3/5
    Offensive No

I perceive a huge similarity with Aventus and I don’t understand how people can say the opposite. I also got nice longevity and sillage on clothes, not beast-mode, let’s say around 6 h longevity and 2 hours of good projection.
The opening of this is a little sweeter and creamier than Aventus, and evolves in something maybe a slight bit less smoky, but you can smell the smokiness at all times and it never completely becomes a fruity scent.
It’s very suitable for a work setting and i received compliments for it. I have a 10 ml decant of Aventus bought from ScentSplit (so I don’t know the batch number). I put it on paper and after 15 minutes I could barely recognize any differences between it and Rich Leather. Almost identical the dry-down. A female friend of mine confirmed. Maybe those who perceived a strong difference have a smokier Aventus batch or they’re just trying to be fancy.

I have 2 approaches to my opinion!
One: You’re the perfume: At a price you get a completely universal perfume,
which is suitable for both young and old, anywhere-at any time
gentleman gives a scent! The bottle and the cap are quality! The scent is a modern wood-aromatic cocktail, which is of a quality to its name. Value for money is great!
Irrespective of age, it is even suitable for signatures, although longevity and projection do not reflect the plant’s scent, but it shows its presence in a cultured way !!
My other approach is that: Aventus resemblance!
There are two fundamental differences here! Availability and price …..
Here in Europe, Aventus has only recently become more known and its purchasing has only been solved today! But its price is disproportionately high compared to other scents … (even if the quality and manufacturing process are unique!)
At the same time, this is the Zara fragrance, which is almost identical to the Aventus aroma – at least for the average nose users – and while the Aventus edp in my country is 250-300 €, Rich Leather is available under 20 €!
Zara RL is a wallet friendly option that represents high quality and is close to Creed’s fragrance experience.
    Personal Summary:
Great business! Great value for money! Good quality and longevity and projection for the price! It should be bought as long as it is available.

smells like an unripe pinepple after initial spraying, more green vibes than aventus, This is not long lasting.

I tend to fill my collection either with highly professional and clean scents or totally sweet night out- club fragrances, as I spent the whole day in the office/meetings and every other night in club.
If anyone, has the same routine do not hesitate to go for Zara 2017 Leather collection. Rich Leather- Office; Gourmand Leather- Club/Date; Unique Leather- close encounters. These three would cost around 50 usd (for total 10oz of juice!). Excelent value for the money.
Rich Leather is my favorite by any means. But for me it is nothing, nothing, nothing close to Aventus. I am rather reminded of Hermes TDH. I smell a lot of pepper, some orange vibe rather then beragmot on the top and NOT ANY Pineapple. Another disagreement, I don’t get anything synthetic and messy in the dry-down. The pepper gets smoother and it combines with soft leather smell. Not bad it all. But that is just my impression after a 4 days usage.
I am not sure if it was suppose to be a clone of Aventus (I assume it did as it appears after the vibrant leather), but for me if it is Nothing close to Creed Aventus.
Anyways, very nice scent and descent performance for the money you pay. Highly recommended.
    Scent 8/10
    Projection 7/10
    Silage 7/10
    Longevity 7.5/10
    Versatility 8.5/10

96% identical to Aventus. But the synthetic aromachemicals isnt accepted in the skin. So it does not become a skin scent and somehow synthetic drydown. Smells like Bond no. 9 The Scent of Peace too.

Bought it for about 15 euros from my local Zara store.
I won’t add anything more to the description of the fragrance, as said before it is a very decent and pleasant to wear Aventus clone.
    Haven’t tried Vibrant Leather.
The only negative is the extremely -at least on my skin-
poor longevity and projection, such a pity…
    Recommended for daytime.
Update: About 2 months after I bought it, the atomizer is completely destroyed, with 80% of juice remaining in the bottle… C’mon Zara, are you kidding me now…?

    THE BEST AVENTUS POTION:
1 – You buy ZARA RICH LEATHER and ZARA VIBRANT LEATHER
2 – You apply 2 sprays of ZVL wherever you want
3 – You apply 2 sprays of ZRL in the same spots
4 – You get the best AVENTUS clone for a fraction of the price and less 25% longevity and sillage
5 – For AVENTUS longevity and sillage aply 3 sprays in step 2 and 3
I own the 3 fragrances. My wife cannot make any difference between the real Aventus and my Zara potion. Of course she notices a big difference when I use only ZRL or ZVL
    Enjoy and save 🙂

Does it remind Aventus? – it’s not an Aventus clone, but yes it does remind Aventus!
Is it a good perfume? – It’s an outstanding perfume considering you will pay € 17.50 for 100 ml.
What else???? – It opens with pineapple. Slowly you start to get less pineapple and more powdery red pepper. After a couple of hours you get a very agreeable “leatherish” combination of cedar and moss. In total you get 6 to 8 hours longevity with this perfume. Do respray after 4 hours for a bigger longevity. The bottle is very nice as well.
In summary -It’s an amazing fragrance for the price. No… it’s not Aventus, it’s a woody aromatic perfume called Zara Rich Leather!!!! It’s not a Chypre Fruty perfume called Aventus and costs 15 times less.
Do I like it???? – Yes I like it a lot!!!!
By the way – I do have a flask of Aventus and two Zaras (Rich Leather, and Vibrant Leather)

I do own this fragrance to me does it smell like aventus kind of mainly the pineapple but not much after that. It’s ok but it doesn’t last especially as an edp. It’s basically a skin scent it project’s for an hour that’s all its not bad smelling but not a compliments getter I’ve had girls smell it no one liked it

People say Aventus but I say Bond No 9 Scent Of Peace.

Something is seriously wrong with Zara perfume collection, they seem to be all over the place, they launch a new perfume every month, and every single of them resembles a famous already existent perfume, not just that, they started offering few scents with the same smell under different names at the same time! So you now have:
    Rich Leather
    Vibrant leather
They also have 2 perfumes that resemble Dior Sauvage, Cuir Velvet and another one.
The series of perfumes that are branded under Zara Home are of better quality and presentation, they’re a higher end perfumes.
Honestly, i miss the old stuff they had when they had their own scents like Zara Man in the thin green bottle.

very weak, not worth the money.

  28. :

Probably the worst Aventus clone out there. It opens a little similar, and 10 minutes in it turns into a synthetic mess. I tried it twice in Zara and decided it’s not worthy.

  29. :

    5 out of 5

Starts off with an Aventus vibe but turns into something quite different after about 10 minutes.
Vibrant Leather is a much closer replica of Aventus if that’s what you’re looking for.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

Vibrant Leather, Zara Gold… people used to mention that they are THE aventus clones, well VL has the smoke vibe down perfectly other than that it’s nothing like Aventus, the pinapple is gone in a few mins, i really don’t get how people hype it up that way, it’s lacking the Aventus DNA. ZG has the vibe of Aventus but goes into a more darker sweeter tone, so again not a Aventus clone.
Now… i gave Rich Leather a try and i’m impressed… honestly when i first sprayed it on me it was almost like Vibrant Leather but a few mins leather (get it? lol…) it turned into a calmer smoother version of Aventus which is something i’ve been looking for!
I’m loving this stuff and i’m glad my Zara store has a bunch of these around! Their quite cheap as well! I can only recommand this juice!

  31. :

    5 out of 5

I disagree, this one is not like aventus. If you want Aventus clone go with vibrant leather, better clone than this.
This one may be first 5 min with blast of pinapple smells like aventus but then pink pepper and cedar makes it something else, cedar is the main charakter at dry down. I would compare this to insurrection pure II than aventus because the heart of aventus for me is birch than pinapple so that definitely lacks here
UPDATE: It smells more like Declaration Cartier L’eau than Aventus

  32. :

    5 out of 5

This is quite nice for the first 30 min 🙁 After 30 min is gone and smell cheap.
I didnt try aventus but i guess is a copy.
I have used Mancera Cedrat Boise and they are somehow similar.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

Just got it today for like 17 euros. I went straight to the Zara shop to get this one based on the comparison with Aventus.
Bought it, went home and here is my impression:
The opening is straight into Aventus’ alley, straight there. And when I say this I say they’re both from the same movie. Rich Leather is more like the fruity clean batches, so no smoke.
Once it settles down it’s more like Mancera Cedrat Boise but it also has some similarities with Aventus. So it’s a mix between those two on the drydown. As you know Mancera is also similar to Aventus so that’s that.
Anyway for the amount you pay, it’s great so check it out for sure 🙂

  34. :

    5 out of 5

This is one of Zara’s pricier fragrances. $30 a bottle, and it’s labeled as an “Eau de Parfum”. So what’s the verdict?
    It’s damn good!
Now I don’t want to hype it up, and make people think this is comparable to a 2011 Aventus, you cannot seriously compare this to a $200 Creed. That being said, I really like it! And I can’t bring myself to say same about the other Zara fragrances. I tried Rich Warm tobacco, 9.0, and some other notables ones in the community and I just couldn’t, there was something cheap smelling that made them unwearable. Not this one, this one is a notch higher in quality. It opens up with a bright citrus, but not too sharp either. After this is where the pineapple comes into play. You start to get that sweet, nearly caramelized, over ripened pineapple found in the old Aventus of 2011, it really brings me back fond memories of when I first tested the pineapple king…
And that’s where the comparison ends. There is no smoke nor leather despite the name. It also falls flat when compared to Aventus (from any year) because it does not have that Creed “dna”, with that ambergris base. To give you an idea, this smells like a mall when you walk into one of those clothing stores… like Zara. Clean, uplifting, it just puts a smile on my face.
I’m going to have fun playing around with this one, layering it and adding some birch tar oil.

  35. :

This one is pretty close to the other Zara Vibrant Leather (that is similar to Aventus) the difference is that this one is a bit more fresh and “airy”, like a Vibrant Leather flanker for summer (this is from memory, so take this with a grain of salt) it’s nice, haven’t try it on skin, but first impressions on paper is good, for the price point a bargain. But completely irrelevant if you have Vibrant Leather.
This is one of the things I hate about Zara, different bottles, same fragrances sometimes with little twists.
