Description

Calvin Klein launched new pillar fragrance Reveal in September 2014. Reveal Men, the masculine edition of the new line, is coming out in February 2015. The fragrance is announced as fresh and unique.

Reveal Men Calvin Klein epitomizes the uncompromisingly masculine and bold attitude of the modern man… to men who want to intrigue, challenge and seduce.”—(wwd)

The composition was developed by perfumers Ann Gottlieb, Marypierre Julien, Olivier Gillotin and Rodrigo Flores-Roux. Top notes include crystallized ginger, mastic, pear brandy and kiwano (African horned melon). Its heart contains aromas of suede, clary sage and agave nectar. The base includes tonka bean, vetiver, organic Haitian Orpur® and golden amber.

The face of the campaign is actor Charlie Hunnam. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette with an accompanying collection.

Not as sweet n fruity as I was expecting. I’m resistant when it comes to sweet. Also interesting is that what I find sweet others don’t. CK shock is sweeter imo.
The amber and booze in this is great. It balances the fruity pear which if untamed would have made this too soft n juicy for mainstream men’s marketing.
Instead the booze and vetiver keep reveal different from similar scents such as guess seductive and curve soul.
These are all safe blind buys and gifts. Reveal does it best from these American offerings, it’s inviting and playful, slightly fresh n fruity, slightly boozy. CK quality and will probably get a little more action than my ck shock because it’s more appropriate for office and daytime wear. No regrets, no where near my top ten.

The initial super sweet blast of Reveal was a bit of a shock and made me think that this blind buy had been a mistake. However, a minute later the depths of this fragrance were, um, Reveal-ed. Yes, you have to like sweet fragrances to appreciate this, but there are surprising layers here that set it apart from many more modern perfumes. What I get all the way through is a classy, gentlemanly elegance, which I definitely wasn’t expecting. There’s a boozy richness that mingles gorgeously with the melon, fruits and agave. Then, too, there’s a salty, aquatic vibe holding the fragrance together. From all the notes, it might sound like there’s too much going on here, but Reveal is actually very coherent. Suitable for all ages, and both casual and formal wear, this is a real winner in my book. Possibly the best of the Calvin Klein men’s fragrances out there.

Love it but I can’t figure out when I should wear this. Daytime work? Nope.. night out, maybe but possibly too “forward” smelling.
Perhaps around significant other who already appreciates it.. -Since its rather unique.

Initially it reminded me of Guess Seductive, I was expecting to be on a similar level of sweetness which it is. Reveal itself is a far superior scent though. The opening has very boozy, “sweet” in general notes. Any distinctiveness between the pear and melon notes is squashed by the tonka and agave. All together creating a stunning sweetness. Then there is another whole aquatic layer to this that the salt gives.
I looked at the note lineup and thought it was going to be quite tropical. In all, I’d say it kind of is, just not in the way you may think. If Set Sail St. Bart’s is the raunchy, frivolous booze cruise in the middle of the afternoon, Reveal is the sensual beach side dinner just before the sun sets. No age barrier on this what so ever, only a sweet tooth barrier. Definitely a Spring/Fall and the breeziest of Summer nights scent.

I have had this for a while now and have received effusive compliments with it. The agave note is excellent. It is simultaneously a soft scent but the tonka allows it to be unapologetic in its sillage. Sweet, candy-ish, hard driving, unique. The agave is what drags this beast up into the older generation’s wearability. Every time I wear this my wife believes she’s never smelled it before, but she loves it. To me that’s a plus. Agree on comments about this being Calvin Klein’s best. Cheers.

This may be one of the finest Calvin Klein scents I have ever smelled..The last time I checked I think they produced well over 150 Varieties ….this is top five imo.

This is my best blind buy of 2018. Granted, we’ve still got a ways to go until 2019, but at the rate I buy fragrances, this is quite a statement. I really did not expect a CK fragrance to be this good. It’s THE best CK fragrance I’ve smelled, and a complete hidden gem. People who don’t have their nose on this are missing out big time. Especially if you love sweet, juicy, tasty scents like I do. It’s really sweet, but also masculine. Don’t worry about it being feminine, it’s boozy and salty enough to counter that. You know when you first smell a fragrance you really like and it makes you smile? This is one of those for me. The last time I had that happen was when I bought Guerlain’s L’Homme L’Eau Boisée.
Reveal opens sweet and juicy, with an almost indescribably tasty burst of personality. The melon and salt accords create a wonderful contrast. I have nothing that smells like this in my entire collection. What shines here the most is the agave. I don’t know what agave smells like, but man, if it smells anything like this, I gotta get me one of those plants in my garden. Too bad they take anywhere from 25-80 years to bloom! Millennial plant indeed!
It’s a sweet, boozy, juicy masterpiece that I can’t get enough of, and I’m so glad it’s longevity is as good as the smell. At 9+ hours, it’s still pumping out here. This is a beast in performance.
Even the bottle blew my mind. The cap is metal, and it’s heavy. The glass is top notch, and it’s also very heavy. For the size, this is a heavy bottle that looks way, way more expensive than it is. Honestly it’s just way heavier than I expected it to be. Puts niche bottles to downright shame. Great quality. Excellent buy. I will always have this in my collection. Can’t recommend it enough for sweet fragrance lovers. I love this.
    Fragrance: 10/10
    Longevity: 9+ hours
    Personal Appreciation: Delicious, juicy, refreshing.

I found this one on clearance at Tjmaxx so I decided to give it a try. For some reason Reveal reminds me of A*men. They both start with a sweetness although this one stays sweet throughout where as A*men becomes bitter as it drys down. The notes just don’t mesh well together in my opinion but it’s certainly not terrible. It’s not one of my favorites but it’s good for the price I paid.

Highly under appreciated scent. Hidden Gem.Great fresh, fruity, boozy, gorgeous scent. A simpleton nose would blow it off as average. True fragheads know its beauty. People who catch whiffs of this get curious and have to ask what it is. Boozy deliciousness.

I tried it on my skin this afternoon. It developed to a nice and pleasing scent with moderate longevity and projection. It is a warm and sweet aromatic fruity scent. It is pleasing and enjoyable, but wouldn’t make it to my collection.

I tried it on my wrists in a drugstore. Unfortunately, I was put off. Throughout the first hour it smelled to me as if a kid barfed after eating cotton candy. Didn’t wait for the drydown, scrubbed it off. Maybe it’s my skin. Or my nose.

Wow this stuff is sweet. Might be the sweetest fragrance I’ve ever tried. I like to think of this fragrance as a catchy pop song that you love that isn’t to be taken too seriously. It’s just a fun sugary-sweet fragrance. Go easy on the trigger unless you want everyone to notice you and want the attention. This stuff will cut through cigarette smoke if overapplied which I like!

Sweet and long lasting. Very similar to Halloween Man Shot by Jesus Del Pozo. Fruity and boozy. Very nice

A sickly sweet green fragrance, in a good way, a mixture of fresh notes and green, almost aquatic notes.
Well crafted, it lasts a long time and it is unique.
From the notes I detect a lot of melon, ginger, tonka bean, amber , and a salty touch which gives that aquatic, almost frosty vibe which I love.
It would be great as a clubbing scent, it does not smell serious or formal, I also think it could work as a school/work scent as long as you’re light on the trigger.
You can definitely wear this on every period of the year, but it could be cloying in the high summer heat and lacks a bit of “depth” for cold winter days, perfect for spring and fall…
It has a beachy-tropical vibe and it reminds me being on a party on a tropical beach at night, drinking a cocktail.
It’s made for being an alternative to your sweet clubbing fragrances.(One million, Eros, Ultra Male, Silver Scent…)

I feel like I’m sniffing a different scent, I don’t get the big sweetness. I mainly get a spicey cinnamon/cumin along with the ‘rubber’ note. Can anyone agree with me???

    Simply amazing scent.

  18. :

    3 out of 5

A boozy, melon scent on me then the agave note is also quite strong as it manifests almost like aloe Vera in bloom, very’ green and vegetal, but then an overbearing sweetness in the drydown must be the pear and Tonka note, almost like Obsession Night, but I tried it again a few days ago, this works best in cold ,slightly wet weather or else ( dum, dum, dum, dum) it can become cloying, sending you racing to the bathroom to scrub it off.

On my skin this is close to beating Eros might just be me but longevity 10/10 Sillage 10/10 and smell 7.5/10 I think it’s unique in its boozy pear aroma would I wear this in 80+ degree weather prob not any other season occasion it would be fine I feel this is the best of CK for men …. it’s very sweet so watch out

Blind buy: was told by several people that this was sweet and could be a unisex fragrance, and I checked the notes, which seemed fine.
This has body odor smell on me, so I do not recommend it as a unisex fragrance.
    Maybe its the brandy?
But, yes, Reveal Men is very sweet.

So i like this scent, but one of my friends.
    Liked it a bit more.
I picked up the box and wonder why it was so lite. Then i notice a note inside it saying “I’m taking this one, it smells lovely From Mike” Wait what?!
But i didn’t find this out till weeks maybe a month(s) after it happen. I was trying out other perfumes and writing reviews. Had to buy a new one.
BTW he finished the bottle within a span of three months…
    100 ML, gone!
    Hmmm!
    Sweet, boozy, earthy&fruity scent.
It’s in the gourmand territory…I’ll wear this during Thanksgiving…It’s nice and long lasting…noticeable, but not over powering. Perfect for close encounters…aka great wingman.
Side note: I don’t know why the site had me down as guest.
I used six sprays…both wrist, back & front of my neck, chest and front of my shirt.
Will I buy this again?…No(I already had to buy another one).
Does this fragrance enter BEAST MODE, good, just okay or weak sauce at best? Good.
What’s the strength of this? EDT.
Am i willing to trade this fragrance? Yes.
Should You Skipped It, Sample It First or Blind Buy It? Blind buy.
Can you use it as a unisex scent? No.
Is it the old, new formulation? New.
What’s its availability; in production, limited edition or discontinued? In production.

On me it lasts way more (8 to 9 hours) and its is so heavy that I only spray twice and not on clothes as it can become overpowering. But wih 2 sprays and in cool temps it is heavenly.

Sweet, salty, soft and long lasting.
Versatile, but in the cold months. I love to wear this eau the toilette at the office. It’s good for the evening too.
It’s funny, the scent remenbers me slightly a melow orange peel.

    Initial impression:
This is the third time I smelt this. The first and second time was when I tried it at the department store. This time is the first time after I decided to purchase.
I kinda like sweet fragrances, and I have a hard time looking for freshies. Well this one suits me quite well. This is a good one from calvin klein. I find the agave note as really interesting. Sweet, calm, a bit fresh & green. This is surrounded by a supporting tonka that gives more sweetness, aquatic notes, sea salt to balance it out, and a boozy note to make it more playful.
I know for some people it might be too sweet to wear on high heat. But smelling this gives me a vibe of an afternoon beach party. It’s playful and fresh.
I’ve not given it a full test yet, but sure will update after giving it a few more time.
    UPDATE:
This performs really well. It’s playful but not loud. Longevity is about 7 hours. Sillage is moderate. You can smell whiffs of it even after 4 hours from application.
The opening and dry down IMO is way better than versace eros.
Agree with many, this has a niche quality to it. It’s not like many sweet/gourmand designer fragrances. This sweetness is its own kind. Great job by calvin klein.
    Longevity: 8/10
    Sillage: 7/10
    Scent: 9/10
    Compliments: 7/10
    Versatility: 10/10
    Price: 10/10
    Overall: 8,5/10
    Worth it.

I don’t think it is that sweet, much less so than One Million. And its sweetness on my skin comes from the agave (the predominant note on my skin by miles) .It is very exotic and somehow discreet and subdued, not in your face.Tonka on my skin is very soft, on me Reveal Men is agave plus leather and brandy with melon and pear freshening the scent a bit. Long lasting (8 hours plus) with moderate sillage although lasting for more than 4 hours I find Reveal Men a very interesting, with one of a kind of a scent that it is much more expensive than its price and even better than the feminine counterpart (which is also very good too).Love it !!!!!

    @Pine Rocks
Sadly, i tbink you have a fake. Reveal has a great performance and i don’t find that it’s smells like Rochas man (even not a bit).
    Reveal is sweet and boozy.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

This fragrance is sweet in that it reminds me of a box of fresh glazed donuts. Not exactly something I’d like to wear, at least not when it’s warmer outside. I could see this cologne getting cloying easily.
It does, however, vastly outperform any other Calvin Klein fragrance I’ve tried. A spray on each wrist and I was still smelling it 12 hours later. Nice job there. I was impressed with that aspect of Reveal considering it can be had very cheaply.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

hmmmm…disappointed in this one and not sure if I have a fake as there is only a very subtle smell and it hardly lasts too. It’s very soft and reminds me of Rochas Man a bit.

    Fragrance -Reveal Men Calvin Klein
    Bottle from – 2016
    Reveal is a nice,sweet,boozy,unique and well-blended scent.
I don’t think that this is the best from CK.Calvin Klein has released so many beautiful fragrances(Eternity,Truth,
    Contradiction,Obsession,Euphoria…).Nevertheless,Reveal is a beautiful scent.
    Longevity – 8/10(8+hours)
Silage/projection -8/10(nice projection for the first 2-3 hours, silage also exist)
    Weather -spring,autumn,summer nights
    Age – 20+
    Compliments – 8/10
    Scent – 8/10
Main notes according to me –
    tonka bean,brandy,agave,melon,ginger.
The drydown is nice and i get some sweetness, fruitiness,
    amber,vanilla and tonka.
    Emotions -sexy,sweet,rich,sophisticated,class,boozy.
All around fragrance, perfect for casual activities, office, nights out and dates.Could be a signature scent.
You’ll get some compliments with this one.Try before you buy.

This one is okay and non offensive. But just didn’t work for me. Nice scent but nothing that makes me wanna buy it or wear it. Glad I didn’t blind buy and just got a small sample/decant.
Very aromatic. I really couldn’t pick the notes out on this one as they are listed above. I find all the CK fragrances to be fairly pleasant and mass appeal type scents, but not all really work out for me.

  35. :

Smells like a cousin Dunhill Icon except very boozy insteady of smoky. But to me this can be nauseating if smelled up close whereas Icon does not. Icon has a defined nice grape soda smell with musk and woods – more simple but defined and classy, whereas this is a mixed sweetness, fruit salad as someone put it, with sage and brandy all mixed together. It is interesting for sure..Sample worthy but not a buy.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

I am not such a fan of this one.. Starts off with a blast of sweetness with a rubbery note on my skin.. after a while it becomes too sweet and feminine in my opinion.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

The epitome of sweet watermelon bubblegum mixed with salty boozed brandy, a touch of pear, amber, gorgeous agave and the tonka, which is present throughout and elevates this fragrance to another level.
I am at the stage in my life now where I no longer wear fragrances based on what I *think* will attract other people (men in my case), or what I *think* fits their definition of masculinity. I wear them because *I* love how they smell.
This is the best fragrance Calvin Klein has ever released. It is both sweet, liquid deliciousness and sophisticated, with complex notes and levels. It transforms the wearer into an edible confection and I am in love with it.
The dictionary definition of intoxicating: the deep continuous inhalation of a highly addictive substance.
    This is it.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

I find Calvin Klein fragrances to be alright, some are definitely of higher caliber than others and Reveal Men is one of the better ones in my humble opinion. Not particularly an amazing smell but it is different from others in this brand and that makes it more unique.
Worth a spray for date-night or snuggled up on the sofa with your significant other, it’s more of an intimate scent.

  39. :

It’s too bad this one didn’t catch on… I first smelled it a year ago while out shopping with my college best friend. He spritzed some on from a tester in a store, and for the rest of the day, I kept stopping him and planting my face in his chest to inhale. I then ordered some for my boyfriend, figuring that if he didn’t like it I’d just wear it myself. Fortunately, he too is a fan.
It smells like fresh, fruity cotton candy with just enough masculinity to keep it from being totally unisex, though I think women who enjoy unisex and masculine scents on themselves can easily wear it, too. It’s delicious.

  40. :

    3 out of 5

At first sniff, all I could smell was bright, minty, super sweet cotton candy! But after several wearings, I discovered this cotton candy nuance to be the pear, melon, ginger and brandy all fighting (in the shadows of agave) over each other to dominate Reveal. The pear and melon are so refreshing and the brandy provides depth. The ginger is super zesty and zingy… it’s so damn spicy.
Before you know it, the agave (assisted by a lackey – smooth suede) shows the top notes who’s boss. The tonka bean and amber vaguely trail behind – only to ramp up the sweetness, but never outshine agave.
In short, Reveal is sweet. Very sweet. But it never gets cloying. There’s a depth here that would make Reveal project in colder months, but provide a coolness in the warmer months. This stuff is very versatile and can easily be worn by a woman.
Thumbs up in my book and definitely recommend!

Nice sweet summer fragrance. Opens up with a fruit salad vibe and a boozy note (brandy probably). Evolves into a mild, sweet, fruity fragrance

  42. :

    4 out of 5

This was one of my first fragrances. I think it was the fifth I bought actually. It is a very nice scent. For the longest time I thought Calvin Klein Reveal Men smelt like Gucci Guilty pour homme (a deleted review of mine has that sentiment) but it is a better developed version of that scent honestly. This is a much more gourmand leaning Gucci Guilty. I think Gucci Guilty has slightly better initial projection but the longevity is longer on this one. I get about six to maybe seven hours while Gucci Guilty, I’ll get about five in ideal conditions.
Reveal Men is nearly an all seasons scent except for really cold nights or really hot days. In really hot days it can get cloying while on cold nights it just doesn’t work out for whatever reason. It performs really well during all day wear during fall and spring but can still work during Arizona winter days at about 10 AM when it heats up or summer nights that aren’t still 80 degrees or hotter after sunset.
Now for the smell, it’s a gourmand. Gourmands will smell sweet for the most part. The only gourmand that isn’t sweet that I came across is Rocawear Evolution which is dark with a mix of rum and bitter coffee as oppose to coffee with sweetener. I get the cotton candy scent from this, not Invictus. Because of that, I can see why most people don’t like it. I however do like it.
Reveal Men is really good for dates. It may not be super masculine, BUT it will smell good on you. Despite the slight booze in the open, it is good for work setting.
Edit: Before I give my rating, for some weird reason, I smell parts of two Playboy fragrances in this fragrance. I smell Playboy New York as it dries down from its Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce style open and Playboy VIP due to the booziness of its rum note (in comparison to Reveal’s brandy.) This is a bit of a knock on the scent since I can find it elsewhere in two other scents albeit not quite the same.
Overall, CK Reveal Men is nothing to really sleep on. It is something unique and different, even in the gourmand realm for men. It is an aquatic gourmand. I rate it an 8.5 out of 10. It would be higher if it didn’t compare directly with Playboy fragrances. Thankfully too many others are sour on this scent due to the sweetness, making it is somewhat different and fresh in that regard.

Love this baby, i brought one for my brother and one for my boyfriend and occasionally i spray it on myself.
It is masculine but i enjoy it so much.
It makes me think of a party on the beach, fresh sea air, people drinking, getting drunk, dancing, having fun and stuffing their faces with cake covered in whipped cream and fruit.
Sillage is massive, one spray is perfect and this lasts up to 12 hours.

  44. :

Nothing but a modern update for Obsession! It’s light sweet, soft, warm & that’s about it. Very casual & very Klein’s rather bad quality yet nothing to compare with a big Italian or French brand fragrance.

WHAT AN INTERESTING, EVEN ODD, SCENT. There’s something overtly synthetic in Calvin Klein Reveal Men’s long-lived opening to me that might be compounded, play on words intended, by notes I am less familiar with. I can’t help trying to distinguish nice details hindered by something astringent. It’s not bad, and I don’t find it cloying, but a little annoying if only initially in this somewhat linear production. This turbid scent is primarily an aquatic freshy to me at first but with an irregular accord of rather well-blended subtly sweet fruitiness, the latter like an ambitious roll of Tropical Fruit Life Savers (that candy is discontinued by the way) instead of the ubiquitous 5 Flavor. It takes quite some time but its dry down is a slightly more mellow and pleasant aromatic reflection of itself, closer to the skin, leaning more traditional and masculine. Performance is adequate in Reveal Men, the only Calvin Klein fragrance I own, bought blind as uniquely recommended especially in light of its quickly discounted price ($20 delivered from FragranceNet for 50 ml.). I would say it’s more casual than not and best for Late Spring, Summer nights, and early Autumn although it is relatively versatile.
IN THE END IT’S A DESIGNER FRAGRANCE DEVELOPED BY COMMITTEE; four perfumers, each of whom was in competition with their peers (to our benefit), working in concert under a creative director with a mission statement. Like Frankenstein’s monster it is a miracle of modern science that wants to be good… but can’t quite be. Or is it just misunderstood!? I give it two thumbs up, one pitchfork, and one torch.

I dont wear this one often but everytime I do im blown away by just how great it smells. Ive hyped it up almost everytime its come up since its been out on basenotes etc, but this one is really great bang for your buck. Hella cheap, great performance. Maybe its lost in the crowd a bit. Its a CK fragrance, and its really sweet, and theres so many sweet fragrances… But its also to me really unique smelling. Its almost contradictory because its so sweet it can be a bit much to smell for to long, but at the same time its actually really fresh smelling. And you get that just fantastic spicy sorta kick from the brandy. The salt tingling your nose. Just a really interesting mix. Maybe its the agave that makes it so interesting smelling I dunno but really, Its just a great fragrance to try out I think. I just picked up a back up bottle recently.
Compliment wise its great, this has got to be one of the top tier fragrances to get a wiff of in all my years in fragrances. I have had multiple people ask me when near me when there is a gust of wind, like boom wow what are you wearing, where can I get that. Again warning of course, although very fresh, it is really sweet and maybe the uniqueness and sorta offness of it makes it a lot to take in at once, so I dont think its the most.. snuggly fragrance in terms of those sort of compliments. But in terms of randomly getting a wiff of it from a gust of wind, this one is a killer.
A testament to how good of a compliment getter this has been for me is ive actually had to go out of my way to find people that did not like it ive had so many compliments on it. Generally those who didnt are probably what you would expect though of course, to sweet, or boredline feminine. But in general most have liked it.
Anyway TLDR, suprisingly fresh for how sweet it is, but the sweetness of it is unique compared to other stuff. Great bit of a boozy kick to it. Some sugary vetiver to mix with the warm base. Great bang for your buck can get it hella cheap and good if not great performance especially for the price. Not something I want to smell all the time, and not the most snuggly fragrance ever, but top tier in terms of randomly getting wiffs of I think.

This fragrance reminds me of being drunk on good aged tequila while carrying around a similarly drunk stripper who just busted out of a giant fruity cake at someone’s bachelor party.
The notes are well blended but the boozy-sweetness of it is much stronger than I remember it being from the tester I used in-store. I had hoped that some of that sweetness would dissipate in the dry-down to let some of the fresh/herbal/woodsy notes shine through. I’m 8 hours in though and this hasn’t happened. Instead the other notes have dwindled down to nothing and only the sickly sweetness is left. That said, I’m getting the feeling that this fragrance is too one-dimensional and immature for my tastes.

This is like sweet small cakes with something aquatic with above the average longevity and projection from Calvin Klein. Really a nice surprise from this firm but not for me!! Worth to try it guys, this is a good stuff. One of the best Calvin Klein scents I’ve ever tried.

You take your cocktail of pills with a long swig of apple melon brandy – sleep finds you quickly. You fall deeper that usual, your dreams stumble through the night. Sleep finds you in your dream and lures you deeper with endless sweet nothings. You feel an odd familiarity in this shifting place…the colors and the sounds aren’t quite in sync though. You’re walking down a street lined with rows of bubbling pines that bear the fruit of melons and pear. Agave grows like shrub surrounding these trees – and the air is alive with some unfamiliar dub – rock. A cool, gingery breeze cuts through the air – the sea is palpable on its wave. You realize you feel no chill as you are wearing a swanky suede jacket. You feel like you need a other drink – your steps echo around you as if in tunnel. Night is falling in this strange place and a warmth crawls under the thicket of grey – green clouds. You’re suddenly sipping some syrupy concoction…it goes down like sweet fire. Sweet nothings. Many hours later you wake, the sweet and nutty warmth of the bizarre dream still lingers on your skin – another day begins. May this day make us truer and kinder beings.
    Day 53 – Dream within a dream
Listening to: Dead Can Dance – Opium
Notes: This is a very alluring designer fume – I usually don’t gravitate toward designer things as much as I used to, but this one is somehow very interesting and it has a narcotic effect on the senses. To me, I get a very strong pear & melon brandy note in the intro. This note dissapates a little before blending with something like gingery ocean mist before leveling off as something vaguely ambery and syrupy sweet. There is always this elusive note in here that might be agave and suede…it lends a crisp yet dirty note to the blend (in a very good way). I get somewhere around 8 hours with this. Obviously good for women and men – sweet yet unique.

From my perspective, Reveal is a combination of the amber/vanilla/cappuccino in Rochas Man (Rochas) and the rum/pear in Casran (Chopard). Casran has been discontinued. All three share some distinct similarities and notes.
It has that latte/cappuccino/mocha vibe to it when initially applied then dries down eventually to amber/vanilla. I think its niche is the cooler weather of fall/winter/spring. Personally, I would not wear this or anything else that is sweet in hot weather when one is prone to sweat.
By “sweet”, it is not syrupy sweet like Thierry Mugler’s Angel Men but moderately to lightly so. It really is a lot like being in a coffee shop where specialty coffees are sold.
Reveal is pleasant. It’s a longer lasting variation of Rochas Man. I think it goes well with a sweater, flannel shirt, or a leather jacket. I suspect it will be very appealing to the opposite sex if used in the right way.

finally my review. I do not like. you were right, the melon is not predominant. much brandy and sweetness on me I did not get this excellent performance as you. It gives me a headache. I feel the smell of mint.
not for me. luckily I have not bought. a jumble of sweetish things that make no sense. 4/10

The agave note at the top of this is wonderful. Agave gives way to a tonka, pear, melon combination aka lady killer. Women love this scent, about half of the men seem to hate it. I find that to be the case with most sweet fragrances. Me, I’m an old man that can use a tinge of bright syrupy tincture applied to my old crustiness every once in a while. I surprised myself by liking this. It is well blended and last a long time, I’m getting 8-10 hours out of it easily.
    Chopshop rating: 8/10
