Description

Reveal is a new fragrance by Calvin Klein coming out in September of 2014.Reveal is announced as a sensual oriental; a scent of sun-kissed skin, sea salt, summer sunset and a cashmere scarf that covers the shoulders when the evening approaches.

The composition is developed by perfumers Jean-Marc Chaillan and Bruno Jovanovic. Salt accords, white and black pepper at the top blend with the heart of powdery iris and ambergris. Sensual and rich sandalwood gives this fragrance the signature and constructs its base together with vetiver, sandalwood, cashmere and musk.

The face of the perfume is Dutch model Doutzen Kroes, along with British actor Charlie Hunnan. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum with body lotion and shower gel.

Funny. I don’t get womanity at all on my skin. My skin pulls strong vanilla from this even tho there’s none listed in the notes.

Blind buy. In my opinion, it smells exactly like womanity (I have a sample) with less sugar. I do not want to smell like cat fur and the sea. yuck!
Why would anyone want to smell like hot, sweaty, sandy cat fur at the beach? I just don’t understand this. why…
    Maybe it’s an acquired taste?
I’ll keep trying it. I hope it’ll be better in summer.
EDIT: Woah… I can’t believe I’m doing a complete 180 so soon. I don’t know why but when I oversprayed this perfume hours later before bed it actually smelled quite good. I still detected womanity but reveal transformed into a lotion type scent. And now many hours later, after waking up, I still detect traces of womanity but also some salt and a sweet scent. Several hours after waking up, I’m now getting the aroma of scrambled eggs. One thing is certain, I’ve never ever smelled anything like Reveal.
This is NOT for me, but I don’t hate it anymore.

Rough and soft…somewhat sweet and salty…noticeable but not perfumey…CK could have called this fragrance “Contradiction.” Great longevity (on hour 7 now) and the sillage is nice – people think you smell great without being aware it is a perfume.
Getting a back-up bottle of this one tomorrow.

This is such a unique and interesting fragrance! It’s a “your skin but better” type of scent. Soft, warm, salty, and slightly sweet. It has a beachy quality to it and I find it very comforting. I’m really surprised this wasn’t a better seller for Calvin Klein. I really like it!

I received a bottle of this very unique scent as a gift from a generous Fellow Fragrantica member. I didn’t know what to make of it a try first, because it was so different to my nose. It wasn’t bad, just different. Then the next night I got my bathrobe out , put it on and immediately smelled Reveal from my trial spray the night before and it was lovely. I really love how this smells on fabric! I think I’m slowly warming up to loving it on my skin too but smelling it , held over a night and still going strong , really impressed me. It’s a strong like right now .The scent itself is salty, but not in a bad way as I feared it might be , but I had heard such good things about it I wanted to try it. It’s woody, which I like, not sweet, another good thing for this scent. Amber is another note I struggle with but it’s done well here.

Very very sheer, unsweet iris with pale musk elements. I like it a lot but it’s just about not there. Even with a sticky wet spot on my wrist, I get nothing much except for a suggestion of sugared vanilla at moments through the day. I like it well enough, but not sure if it’s worth getting a bottle or not. It’s not screamingly special, though it is very nice.

I generally feel revolted by salty frags. Something is different here. Its a clean, warm, cashmere salt. Relaxing. Does not smell like a dead thing by the seaside. I felt nauseated by Womanity and Olympea. Yet strangely this falls in my top 5. This is a summer vacation by the water and a warm autumn night with popcorn all rolled together. Almost therapeutic. Wonderful job CK.

This is really nice and unique to me. It has a bit the same feeling as olympea by paco rabane. They are quite different from each other but I guess it’s because the salt note is present in both of them. To me this smells more warmer and it has a sweet woodsy smell. I can also get the reviews from people who think it has a little bit a dirty smell. I like this a lot and ordered a bottle for a very good price. This was not a blind buy, as I bought 2 samples first, but if I couldn’t find samples of it, I would have blind bought it. Sillage was moderate yesterday and longevity more than 7 hours from 1 spray on the back of my hand. I’m looking forward to wear this in colder weather too.

It smells lovely, but sadly gives me a headache after I spray it. Not sure which note is doing that, because it’s very well blended! But this is one of CK’s better fragrances because it has great sillage and longevity, not that watery stuff that’s so rampant everywhere. So props for that! To me it almost teeters on gourmand since I get a very foodie smell from it somehow! Maybe I’m crazy but it has a very buttery, nutty, praline/chocolate scent on the drydown.

My first Calvin Klein and I already wish I had bought a larger bottle. My curiosity was piqued when I read the “Best of Vanilla” article here on Fragrantica, soon afterward I blind bought .5 oz mini on eBay. It arrived in the post today.
Wow. What a beautiful salty marine scent with light spices. It changes and morphs through three distinct stages: salty-sweet-woods. This is as good as many niche scents trying to capture the marine trend. It’s a summer/fall scent and I am buying a larger bottle, which can be found at a discount almost everywhere. On Fragrencenet you can get a 1.7 oz bottle for around $20. It could easily cost three or four times that amount.
Initially I was concerned that Reveal would smell synthetic. I read a review on basenotes and someone mentioned it, but I didn’t pick up anything unnatural. Big relief.
Performance is very good with light projection. On my first test run, I’m at four hours and it hasn’t turned to a skin scent. I’m really digging it.

This smells like eating kettle corn by the seashore. Salty and sweet and very comforting. There’s something sweet in this, it’s either coming from a unlisted vanilla or from the iris. Either way, it’s an understated sweetness like that of kettle corn. The ambergris ads a marine element that makes you feel like you’re next to the sea.
It can be worn year round and behaves nicely in the heat. I would say this is slightly feminine due to the sweetness, but I can see how this would appeal to a man who embraces his feminine side.

I just can’t decide how I feel about this one. It smells different every time I wear it! Some days it’s sharper and more aquatic; other days, it’s cozy and more like a musky-salty skin scent. Sillage is moderate; longevity is all day.
I think I prefer it most in excessive heat. It seems to settle into my skin in a soft, pleasant, but slightly sweaty way. It actually bears a resemblance to Mugler Womanity on those times—like my skin, but enhanced. The aquatic and marine aspect of it leaves me, er, dry, and seems to be more prevalent in cooler weather.

I am just going to preface this review by saying that in order to get a full spectrum, honest opinion on a fragrance, you’re gonna have to scroll past all the balloon-filled ones and read the less popular reviews. On this site, people downvote any post that doesn’t agree with their opinion, and that’s a very counterproductive thing. Moving on….
This perfume is a very well-blended work of art. The powdery pepper, sensual amber, and dry salty musk combo is simply stunning. It’s unique to me. This perfume is not sweet, but it has a somewhat effervescent quality in warmer weather. It sort of sparkles. Initial spray is a bit harsh, and there’s a very boozy bite, but it almost instantly mellows down to a warm, rich powder-amber fragrance with a slightly aldehydic undertone. On paper this is a masterpiece. On my skin it goes entirely wrong and I cannot wear it, but I do think it’s a beautiful scent! I blind bought this, so maybe test it on your skin before you buy to make sure you aren’t sadly surprised like I was!

Pepper and sea salt! It sounds like the condiments on a table of a diner, but this couldn’t be more different.
It’s a fresh kicky pepper that hits you first, and now I realize its probably one of my favorite notes. The salt is wrapped up with that, and after a bit the mellowness of the vanilla kicks in.
I get a sort of walking-along-the-shores-of-Maine under a sort of light/bright late spring sun warmth kind of vibe–it’s not the Mediterranean warm stickiness of Womanity (although I love it dearly), but while it has warmth it doesn’t immediately smell as sweet and heavy as the fig+caviar of Womanity. Don’t get me wrong, this has warmth, but it’s more fresh and kicky than heavy and sticky. Lasts pretty decently long too, love it!

I got salt and sharp pepper from the opening, with a peep of sweetness which reminded me of a freshly unwrapped pack of Love Hearts sweets. It mingled with my natural scent and mellowed softly, but was barely noticeable. Salty Love Hearts!

There’s something there for me to enjoy at every level of this fragrance. From the salty sweet peppery opening to the creamy warm cashmeran and sandalwood base, this fragrance is unique, dynamic, multi-faceted, complex and utterly beautiful. It has a bright and unexpected kick, something uplifting that I would tire of if that were the entire fragrance profile. But no, as it develops it mellows, smooths out, warms up, and melts into a creamy, comfortable, inviting fragrance that I just want to wrap myself up in. Furthermore, every time I wear this, a different note takes center stage. Sometimes I first get a peppery blast, sometimes not at all but instead I’m standing by the ocean with a fresh salty spray of sea air.
I bought this one blind, and I have absolutely no regrets. I feel like there’s something in there for most to enjoy. Obviously this isn’t to say it’s a sure bet, but because of the interplay of notes I think there’s something in there that most will find pleasing.

Very particular scent. Sits extremely close to the skin, to the point where one can’t tell if it’s an actual perfume or just a body cream / natural scent / some sort of sorcery, but it lasts for hours, and hours, and hours.
Excellent for a “come hither” kind of scent, like I said, it’s absolutely not in your face, so those who have problems coping with heavy or artificial smelling perfumes, can avoid that with this one.

I needed an everyday perfume but didn’t want to spend a lot, so I decided to take the risk of a blind buy, after reading the reviews on here! I tend to veer away from Calvin Klein, as most of the unisex fragrances become citrusy and then disappear on me. This is different, this is really lovely. It is warm, buttery and the cashmere note really comes in for the dry down. I also find a sweet note in there, almost caramel but it isn’t overwhelming. For some reason, I can’t detect the salty note but that’s fine, I wear Blasted Bloom (Penhaligon’s)which has enough for me.
Surprisingly, this is the scent that I receive the most compliments when wearing!
The biggest problem with it is, it’s longevity – a couple of hours and you need to reapply and the 100ml bottle is not going in your handbag – it’s way too bulky and heavy; even if it is sleek and chic looking.
Ok, it’s not going to win awards for originality but it’s become a must for me. It’s a comforting, warm scent and is like friend you can rely on. It’s not loud or shouty so great from day to evening.Plus at £20 for 100ml of edp it is an absolute bargain. Really worth a try, even if CK isn’t usually your thing.

I’ve been really enjoying wearing this through the day in the hot, stifling weather – we’ve been having a mini heat-wave in England this week. It feels like my skin, but better – like I’ve been for a walk on a rocky beach, paddled a little in the water and splashed the sea water on my arms and chest to cool down. Salty water and warm sand in a bottle. It smells very natural, very organic.
The sillage is good, but the scent is so ‘real’ that it sort of hums in the background – my boyfriend kept trying to hug me and said, “you smell sexy”… Obviously, I couldn’t just take the compliment and had to follow that up; upon questioning he said he didn’t realise it was perfume! He just thought it was me – how great is that?! On a hot day, this is a real winner.

On me this is creamy, sweet ambergris with a touch of salt all the way through. The dry down reminds me a little of a Mügler perfume and I also get how this can remind some people of the Olympea. None of the notes bar the iris is sweet, so I don’t know where the sweetness comes from! At times the opening does seem a bit peppery, at times I can get a hint of the vetiver and sandalwood in the dry down. The imagery that this perfume conjures up is of glowing post s*X skin, a little salty from sweat. The sillage so intimate that only someone who leans into you can smell it. Somewhere in the picture is also a shack on a cool, windy beach, a walk on said beach with a warm, soft angora shawl. And while it’s not a sillage bomb the entire time, the skin scent lasts till the next day almost!

A creamy, woody, salty vanilla. This is so wonderful! It is a shame that it doesn’t last longuer. Anyway, I’ll still buy it for as long as it is possible!

Currently wearing. Blind bought after reading reviews and finding a fragrance that had similarities to Paco Robanne’s Olympea and MM Replica’s Beach Walk. At first I couldn’t make out the smell, so I did a thing of dousing myself in it but half an hour has passed and I can just about smell this smooth, airy woody fragrance wafting around me. The powder is very delicate, and the pepper gives it something fresh. I think it’s a lovely skin scent, and I can’t wait to see how it will develop on me. Hopefully the longevity is also promising.. but it was on sale so I suppose I won’t be that mad, I can totally go insane with this as I have the 100 ml.
Update: it has been 6 hours. It lives up to the title of being a skin scent- it remains close to you and very intimate. I think I finally know why it’s called Reveal – as it reveals itself when you get closer and closer. I like this a lot- it’s not mind blowing but it is charming and perfect for everyday. Weirdly enough I got the salt during the dry down but it has mixed in beautifully with the cashmere. The powder is still detectable.
@Takhaet I live in the UK and I got it from theperfumeshop, £30, just keep looking sis

    This is just…lovely.
This is holiday sex on fresh white sheets, windows thrown open to let in the cool morning sunshine, the scent of the ocean, dew heavy flowers, and all the potential of a hot, summers day.
This is fresh, sweet, and warm, yet a little bit naughty.
    This is just…lovely.

This one is sooo pretty! The initial spray reminded me of Mugler Eau de Star! It continues to linger past the initial blast but I would not say it’s a dupe just a faint reminder of Eau de Star! It settles into the skin nicely and I mainly smell the amber, salt and some woody tones the whole way through. Very well balanced in my opinion! It gives off a very cold feeling which reminds me of standing on the beach in the early winter months smelling the ocean air. I am trying this now in the spring, which I think it works fine for, but I can’t wait to test it in the fall!

I have been looking for a spring/summer fragrance for this year and so far the fresh green light florals that I have tried have been disappointing. For some unknown reason I decided to give Reveal a try. I think it was because I saw it on sale for a ridiculously low price. Well thank heaven I did. I absolutely love this thing. It does remind me slightly of my all time love Hermes eau des merveilles but reveal is like the summer version. The opening has that marine feel then it transforms into this creamy Cashmere woody fragrance that I so adore. I don’t get any iris at all but it’s not a problem for me. The dry down is somewhat sweet I know from the reviews some of you mentioned that kind of salted caramel aroma and yes I do get that as well. Longevity is excellent on my skin. I don’t think sillage is great but again not a big deal for me because I love love this thing. Totally agree with stacia79’s review.

I received a bottle of Reveal in a Fragrantica giveaway this past fall and I absolutely fell in love with it. It was perfect for me. The first few minutes are very reminiscent of sea water… the salt, the minerals, the algae and the fish… but it doesn’t smell BAD or “fishy”… all the things you love about the ocean smell without being too sour or weird. Just aquatic and briny.
After about 30-60 minutes the brininess subsides and it becomes a powder scent, orris root and creamy sandalwood. This stage is so different from the initial stage it almost felt like a different perfume… hints of Infusion d’Iris or Cashmere Mist, that same feel.
The dry down came about 8 hours after application and was hands down my favorite part. This was all ambergris and it was magic. It was like a piece of driftwood with hints of vanilla and salt. Amazing. How could they discontinue this masterpiece? It is everything you could want from an ocean scent and everything you could want from a warm powder skin scent as well. I wore it on dates because it felt like a sensual secret weapon, seductive without being obvious.

Why is this discontinued and has so many dislikes? I don’t get it.
Salty fragrance are a bit hit or miss to me. They sound good in theory, but in practice, I sometimes smell weird notes in them, or they smell good but not salty at all.
But in Reveal, the salt note works. This perfume smells skin-like, creamy, woody and warm. It’s a natural smelling, “my skin but better” kind of fragrance of soft musk and cashmere. The different peppers are noticeable, but not bitingly sharp.
This is not very sweet or gourmand, but it gives me the same beautiful warm feeling that gourmands sometimes do, like some kind of delicious caramel cream. It’s also beachy without smelling of coconut or tropical flowers. So, this is a very interesting, but not weird kind of scent. It also lasts a long time on me and is very affordable at the moment.
I liked this when it came out, but never bought it and kind of forgot about it, but I’m so glad I revisted it before it’s gone from all the stores!

I thought I didn’t like pepper 🙂 Well, in this case I just love it, but do not detecet it in any harsh way. As it’s introduced, first I feel the woodyness and something I cannot put my hands/mind on… may be the salt? Anyhow, after an hour I still feel the woodyness, but it’s sooo cosy 🙂 The santal the musk and cashmere thye’re like loving-wrapping blankets but with a sexy twist! It could be a unisex scent, too. Very sexy 😉

    Hi Everyone!
I’ve just received my CK Reveal 2 days ago and even though 2 day wear is not really valid review for longevity but I’d like to give my first impression.
Let me just say that this is such a unique perfume. I bought CK Reveal because just like many people here, I’m curious about the notes. I had my doubts like, “Will pepper notes be horrible on my skin?” But I’m so glad this is another successful blind bought perfume.
The opening notes of CK Reveal on me are very fresh. I can smell the salt, pink pepper and white pepper. No sneeze inducing smell at all! This salt is a tad sweeter from the pink pepper. I love the opening notes.
Then come the middle notes, iris and ambergris make the scent deeper and I swear the middle stage is sooo similar to Mugler’s Womanity. But the notes are very different! I’m confused but since I own and like Womanity, no problem for me. However, Reveal is easily preferable to Womanity when one is working in the tropical heat like myself. Womanity is cloying in heat, the reason I don’t wear it often. But Reveal will never be cloying and too sweet. I think it’s perfect. So far the middle notes last the longest on me: iris, ambergris and cashmeran. I don’t smell sandalwood at all.
The longevity for me is moderate so far, and this is more skin scent than powerhouse projection but hey I’m wearing perfume for myself not others and CK is forgiven for the moderate silage and longevity because Reveal is so very unique.
I’m glad I have the full 100ml bottle. The bottle is awkward to hold though hahaha.
    Later edit:
Yup confirmed this has been one of my faves. Always refreshingly sweet and when people hug me they said, “Wow you’re so fragrant!”

This is the only fragrance I’ve ever blind-bought, as I’m quite picky, prone to headaches and don’t tend to love designer fragrances. I was intrigued by the listed notes and reviews, and honestly I really like this! It’s a fragrance that needs time to settle in, I think. I found the first spray a little overwhelming, heavier than I expected, and I didn’t get much of the salty fresh notes. It’s definitely heavier on the base notes, with a creamy, musky, “skin-scent” most prominent. After about half an hour, though, the saltiness comes through with a cut of Iris which balances the base so nicely. Like a lot of people here, I get a sweetness – but not a vanillary, gourmand sweet, it’s more of a soft, floral sweetness. That’s quite often the case with fragrances on me; sweeter notes become more prominent than citrus or heavy florals so I’m not sure if that’s the intended effect. It reminds me a lot of one of my favourite perfumes as a teenager, the now-discontinued Sabbia 167 by Emilio Pucci. Reveal is the more mature, musky answer to that scent. I’ll definitely continue to wear it!

Like visiting the beach in the winter. Cold, salty, a little briny, but you can smell the wool scarf around your neck in the sea air. Reveal isn’t stark and crisp. It does have a cool, natural sweetness that captures a neutral skin-scent. This fragrance is surprisingly cozy. I get both peppers, and they are there to shake things up. It also has a hint of liqueur that brings it somewhere more sophisticated. Surprising depth for its simplicity! This was a blind buy for me, and while I am not in love, I enjoy it. I think it could use another top or middle note, maybe something to cut through the base.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

I absolutely -love- this scent. I blind bought Reveal when I found a bottle at a decent price because I’ve been trying to acquire more beach-y perfumes since we’re heading into spring and summer in the states.
The notes looked interesting to me; I tend to love scents that feature prominent ambergris, and I was intrigued by the salt note. I’ve tried Olympea and liked it, but felt it was too sweet for what I was looking for in a salty fragrance. Reveal is luckily not very sweet–the salt, ambergris, and cashmeran are all dominant over any sweetness it may have. I appreciate its unabashed saltiness, as it stands out from other salty offerings usually cut with heavy sweetness (Olympea, Eau des Merveilles, etc).
It is definitely as others describe, less a tropical beach Escada type fragrance and more like a quiet, foggy beach in morning.
When I first sprayed it, I was afraid I received a bad or diluted bottle as there’s a lot of alcohol until it has time to dry down, but when it does dry down, it becomes one of those scents that seem like it just -belongs- on skin. The iris and sandalwood in the base add such a gorgeous, subtle powder to the feel of this. It’s salty, musky, woody, and soft. Emphasis on soft: Reveal blends very naturally with the skin.
Which brings me to the reason why I didn’t instantly hit the ‘love’ button for this one–soft sillage is one thing, but Reveal takes a few sprays more than other perfumes to be noticeable and has poor longevity. It lasted about three hours on me before I could no longer detect it, which is a shame because I really do love this scent. That aside, I definitely disagree with the length of the dislike bar Reveal has.
EDIT: Lasts for days on clothes. Smells amazing on a lightly worn shirt.

I bought a sample spray of this on ebay and I am SO disappointed! According to the notes listed, I should have LOVED this – and I am a fan of Calvin Klein perfumes since I am currently in love with Euphoria. This does NOT smell like sandlewood, vetiver or anything else listed. On me it smells very fruity – reminding me of something I smelled once that I didn’t like and cannot remember the name of! Probably for a good reason lol. I don’t think of the beach or smell any salt either – it’s just a very bouncy, fruity fragrance on my skin and when it dries down it smells warm with a bit of spice but hardly what I would call oriental!

  37. :

    4 out of 5

although i got this in cold month of december, the mix of salty caramel, iris & ambergris already hinted towards the next beach holiday.
heavily underrated (i got it from local cosmetic store chain at a heavy discount), ‘reveal’ is sweet, sweat & heat rolled up in sand & sea salt.
atmospheric beach scent that makes your skin smell even more naked.
maybe not a masterpiece, but what i like about this quiet gourmand is that doesn’t make a loud entrance, but softly embraces your skin with that invisible but present summer halo.
    a perfect beach scent.

Feminine Reveal could eaily be the masculine version, it is a quasi marine, clean scent with very little sweetness, ambergris and salt are the main notes for me and it is very different from the usual feminine sweet offerings. On my skin lasts for 7/8 hours with decent sillage for 5 hours.Masculine Reveal, on the other side has huge projection for 4/5 hours and lasts for 9/10 hours a very sweet bomb reminiscent of Ultra Male and relying heavily on agave.
I beg to differ but I find CK perfumes generally fine, love Euphoria and Beauty, quite distinctive aromas, even enjoy CK shock (masculine) and CK In2You (feminine), both last long on me with a tobacco sweet sexyness (Shock) and a summer-appropriate lovely citrusy/flowery aroma (In2You).

**Again, the comment below as “guest” was MINE! but for some reason my account logged out***
    Here it goes agaian:
I have been avoiding this fragrance for years! A
lways found it on sale, with special discounts and what not, so I stupidly assumed it was just another inoffensive boring “safe” scent. What a mistake!
Yestarday I was at the store and asked for Allure Sensuelle by Channel, which they did not have at the moment. So the lady at the store suggested that I tried instead this, Reveal by Calvin Klein (not that they are supposed to be similar or anything of the sort). It was love at first sniff!
Upon the first spray I found it interesting.. liquorice and slightly sweet, sofisticated but not too elegant, alluring in a soft way, floral and not quite so.. woodsy and musky… and something else..
Call me crazy but the pepper notes (before knowing that those were the ones causing what I am about to explain) appeared to me as if the fragrance had a minty twist, but not in an “ice cold refreshing” way… rather in a warm way, if that was ever possible… warm mint? what is that all about?!?! So I was surprised and very confused haha.. again, it´s not that the scent has any “herbal mint” at all, but there was something opening up my chest, allowing me to experience this fragrance to a further and depper level… now that I see the notes I realise it was the pepper.
This is nothing like any perfume I have in my collection.
In the drydown it does have a dark woodsy scent, that somewhat feels like a “Decadence” vibe (altough of course ths one came out before).
I am still confused with this fragrance, not sure where the sweetness comes from. I would have believed this has a soft vainilla, but there is none listed at the notes.
I must be the only one not catching much of the salt note.
The fragrance starts with an intense blast and keeps its strenght for the first 2 hours I´d say. Then sillage becomes moderate, arms lengh, and it endures that way for another 3 hours, when it finally turns into a skin scent.
Appropriate for a 25+ year old human being (this is a very unisex perfume, even though it is targeted at women).
Teens, stay away from this one! Good for all year round, the initial intensity might trick you into thinking this is only wereable on fall / winter, but it really works on spring and even summer (tough I would save it for summer evenings).
Thumbs up for Calvin, who stepped out of the “freshy safe scnets” and came out with this bold one!
    Fragrance: unique, different, interesting, sofisticated,
a little sexy but just enough.
Sillage: strong on the first 2 hours, moderate for the
next 2-3 hous and finally turns into a
    skin scent.
Longevity: 7 to 9 hours I´d say, depending on the
weather. Not bad at all, not amazing either.
Bottle: It´s a daring design, I´ll give Calvin that,
but in the end it´s very incovenient. Would
    appretiate if they change it.
It´s a very nice fragrance to step out of your confort zone and explore something different. Good performance, do recommend it. Not sure if I would repurchase but I do encourge you to try it !!

Hmmm I normally love Calvin Klein both fashion and perfumes, I’m undecided on this but its definitely not a love. Maybe I’m getting weary of all the woodsy salty scents all the rage at the moment. Since I have not liked Stash, Olympea and now this perhaps I should avoid salty scents. But I love Bobbi Brown Beach and Demeter Salt Air.I will say powdery, woods and pepper is an unusual combination. It reminds me a bit of Si Lolita + Lovely.
Maybe its the mix of something musky, pepper + salt. Can have a sweaty smell which I’m not into. Ah well I only had a sample.

Reveal is part of the salty beachy genre of Olympea and Avqa Divinia. Reveal leans more salty iris and cashmeran. Its a cooler pacific coast atmospheric beach smell than the usual tropical floral we think of.
    A decent buy

After so many positive reviews I decided to buy it blind. A big mistake. For me this is maybe the worse perfume I’ve smelled for a very long time. To me it appeared flat, unappealing, uninteresting, harsh, chemical and migraine – inducing. I don’t smell any of the ingredients listed, or described by other people who are using it. Just a cheap sun lotion, gone bad. It reminds me somehow of Fleur de Coraile of LL, and to some degree of Rem from Reminiscence. But both are in my opinion much better made.
I guess the best thing to do is try before you buy, otherwise might be unpleasantly surprised (or pleasantly, like a lot of the ladies here). Mine Reveal ended up in the toilet as an air freshener, I can’t imagine to use it for something else. I have one small hope it might perform better in warm weather, since today is a very cold winter day which might influence it, but I don’t believe it can change so much because of the temperature.

This dries down to a softer/smoother (and more gourmand) version of Barbara Bui or Silk Way (Lapidus), with a touch of saltiness/marine. I don’t get much if any cashmeran. Overall, for me it is pleasant and unisex (the drydown, at least), and I’m glad I bought a bottle (at a very discounted price). I think it would also be good for layering, so I’d wait for the drydown and then spray on the second scent. The “masculine” CK scents tend to be too “chemical” for me, in general, but this is fine.
UPDATE: After several hours the marine note becomes considerably more noticeable, but for an hour or so there’s a really nice note interplay. Then the marine note becomes too strong, so I used a wet paper towel to reduce the strength. I used two sprays so next time I’ll use one.

This is the worst perfume I’ve ever smelled in my entire life. There’s an initial medicinal/menthol scent and then
