Opens with powdery iris, osmanthus which provides a peachy accord, violet leaf and a touch of freshness. Very light suede, barely noticeable. Rendez Vous is pretty linear to my nose and doesn’t really change from the powdery peachy suede smell.

(7/23/17) ATELIER: This brand is on a quest to become the best or at least vie for the running!! What a brand; a sleeper; a brand that is slowly creeping to the top of the list of greats! Might not be considered “niche” for many, however, it is inching its way to that level!!
(7/26/17) Just received this juice and I must say, its better than what I was expecting. Rendez-Vous is slightly green and slightly sweet, but very much so suede!!! Now, this is not a leathery suede inducing fragrance, but because of the Iris and violet leaf those (leathery/suede) notes are more reserved as the aforementioned notes add a somewhat floral vibe to the composition.
The dominant players in this are the Pink pepper, White Musk, Suede, Patchouli, and Bergamot all working in concert with the others very keen on not becoming a one man, I mean a one note show.
Less pungent than Silver Iris, less suede-ish or leather-ish than Camelia Intrepide, yet sits in the middle between the two… REALLY wished it lasted longer than it does; maybe 4-5hours, maybe. Becomes a skin scent afterwards.
Rendez-Vous is a nice fresh fragrance. Glad to have it…..
Projection: 7/10
Longevity: 6/10
Performance:7/10
Silage: 6/10
Overall: 7/10

I have tried all but a handful of the Ateliers and this is one of the few that is most likely making my FB list. It is a lovely, mild osthmanthus “apricot” leather scent. Thankfully I don’t get too much violet, though it’s there and also what smells a bit like Iris.
The patchouli is so low key, I don’t perceive it readily. In fact that is becoming a pet peeve of mine in this aromachemical perfume world where chemists are tinkering so much at the molecular level with notes. If there is patch, it’s been scrubbed. I wish this perfume was deeper and richer, but as it is, the leather-floral-apricot scent is lightly sensual for all occasions and very soothing.
Many of the Ateliers, even when they are generally likeable (as in not a scrubber) have a synthetic smell, but this one is more natural. This is a good all around scent, great for a date or even at the office since it’s not a powerhouse. I still think they do “citrus” best (neroli, pomelo, mandarin), but this is a solid offering, and one that if it’s on sale I may go FB.

this smell always grabs me by the scruff, and i’m quite captivated by it.
everytime i visit the atelier showroom/boutique, i already have about 3 other scents on me and i never get the chance to smell it in all its glory.
it gets a little animalic towards the end, but having said that i really need to sample this in isolation…

I’ve never smelled anything quite like Rendez-Vous. It is a cool, leathery apricot fragrance that brings to mind an image of violets blooming on a rainy spring afternoon. It is instantly relaxing yet also quite intriguing. From what I have read, the subtle apricot note comes from the Chinese osmanthus flower.
Though Rendez-Vous is a stellar creation, I do find it very similar to Sous le toit de Paris, also made by Atelier Cologne. The latter fragrance is perhaps a lighter, more feminine alternative to Rendez-Vous.

I became addicted to Rendez-Vous after receiving a sample, ordered from the Atelier Cologne website. I ordered the full bottle. It came with a 30 ml bottle as well and an engraved leather pouch. I also received a complimentary 30 ml bottle of the fragrance of my choice. The high concentration of essential oils and rare ingredients are unmistakable. The experience is euphoric. The quality is brighter and more luxurious than Bottega Venetia (which I also like). The words and feelings that come to mind when wearing this are unique, creative, independent, wind and water.

I had higher expectations for this cologne considering the price point and that it forms a part of Atelier’s Collection Les Exclusives (along with Sous Le Toit de Paris). Sadly, Rendez-Vous did not impress me at all.
In essence, if I renamed Rendez-Vous, I would call it Bottega Venetta BV au Legere (Lite). I really dislike the BV and the good news is that I can tolerate this lighter version, although I would prefer some more florals. RV is mainly patchouli and suede and some sort of leafy note on me, which I’m presuming is the violet leaf, and a very subtle sort of floral, which must be the osmanthus. The base is soft and musky, and overall the scent is pleasant and well-blended, with a soft sillage and a longevity for about 4-5 hours.

Rendez vous smells like restrained sexiness, sort of like a irresistible woman hiding behind a veil of innocence.
Osmanthus is the key in this fragrance, floral yet sweet enough to conjure the flesh of a ripe apricot.
And there’s a milky undertone.
It’s a different scent, utterly sensual yet natural and close to the skin.
Intriguing may be the word that best describes it.
vab309JeomiWogkig – :
Politeness and purity. A very well blended, fresh, delicate and sophisticated floral with soft suede undertones. Brighter than Bottega Veneta which comes really close. Very nice!
armen7878 – :
Love this, and I usually hate florals — this is a very fruity and herbal floral, not at all powdery. Reminds me of a more sophisticated Herbal Essences. Herbal peach opening, like a fruit tea, with a leathery musk dry down that balances the fruit/floral but stays clean.
Angel666 – :
This is a truly enchanting scent – soft suede and a restrained intriguing floral scent, which must be the chrysanthemum (or Chinese osamanthus).
There are times when this reminds me of Gris Montaigne for the suede effect, but Rendez-vous is definitely more complex.
It is certainly in the same realm as Bottega Venetta EDP and Iris Prima, but I think this is stellar in this genre.
Perfectly unisex too imo.

Bottega Venetta EDP 65 + Serge Lutens Daim Blonde 35 = Rendez-Vous

I’m testing this right now and I is looking simply amazing or at least, very interesting.
Very fresh and at the same time very complex. Opens with very natural citrus and a note of pink pepper. Then come the floral notes like osmanthus (osmanthus), iris, violet leaves. Also clearly detect a note of anything nice leather and rough that integrates great with the rest.
I think it’s osmanthus, which gives you a feeling like peach aroma, leaving the feeling of being without actually being fruity.
I’ve never smelled anything like it and the truth is, in this sense, has left me somewhat perplexed. Maybe too swett for me.
I will try to update the review later because, for example, I can not talk about longevity and sillage.
